Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Hello, and Happy Thanksgiving to those who are celebrating today!  I hope your holiday is filled with fun, love and laughter, and lots of great food!

I also wanted to tell you all how Thankful I am for you, how Grateful I am for you, and how Blessed I am (daily) by you!

Here's today's cards ~

A stamped strip, using markers to my rubber stamp and lightly spritzed, cut to size and attached to the base.  I then hot foiled an NBUS plate in copper.  A little ribbon and it's QACAS to the max!  A close-up of that copper foil shine ~

And a slightly different card, let me explain ~

In an attempt to add a bit more detail, I decided to add an embossed stitched line to the off-white panel.  Welp!  Totally forgot my embossing pad and cut that baby right in half!!!  Ugh, so I recovered after a bit of kicking myself, and glued the lower panel straight down on a new base and now my card opens the top half only... does it work?  A little ingenuity, and I've got a "different" style of card.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it
😂

On another note, today happens to be my Blogiversary -- yep, 7 years, and I still have those fans who encouraged me to start my own blog!  I've grown a bit, gathered more friends/fans, and I'm still here.  While life doesn't allow as many cards as I wish, I'm still in love with this craft and all of you!

Anyway, back to my Thankful, Grateful and Blessed heart -- thank you ALL!

Supplies:
SB - Stylish Script Thankful, copper foil
PW - Autumn Trio (an oldy but a fave)
MFT -- my offending stitched line die!

No matter where you are, or who you're with, have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving!

Hugs,
TK

Sending Thanksgiving Blessings

 Hey, Friends!

I'm so glad you could stop by because these wishes are for you!  I  realize I'm a couple days early, but things are hectic for all of us so I thought I'd send mine a bit early.

I used a sketch at FMS #512 because I needed a couple more cards that will be passed out on Thanksgiving day, and it fit the bill.  This card is quite EZ-PZ, but I love the shine and colors and the layout was a great help ~

Three strips of complimentary pp for my stripes, and I used the stamp a little different.  The three images are all a part of one strip, but I stamped individually, heat embossed in metallics, and then fussy cut them, to pop them up.  Then a short and sweet sentiment was placed in chocolate ink.

Supplies:
   PrintWorks - Autumn Trio
   HB - Autumn pp

That's it for me today.  A quick post so I can get this entered over at the challenge.  Again, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with love and blessings.

Hugs,
TK

The Fondest Memories

Wow!  Has anyone seen my days?  I mean, I can't seem to find them lately -- haha!  Helping Hubbs on a house project on weekends, and of course the cooking and cleaning -- I feel like a superheroe sometimes!  I'm playing hookie tomorrow though to go on a motorcycle ride -- woot woot!

Ok then, onto the card!

A "new to me" technique, that I found quite fun, inspired by the challenge at

I used Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Red Barn and Wild Honey DIs.  I'm not sure why but I think my indoor lighting changed the greens to brownish...  While I didn't sufficiently spritz the inks, I didn't want to oversoak my inks either.  The result is a crackled finish in places, and I actually love it.  Maybe I'm just ecstatic that I didn't have a total failure!  Either way, I think this'll go to Hubbs.

Supplies:
   SSS - Autumn Splendor stencil
   TE - Thanksgiving Blessings (sentiment)
   MFT - Wonky Stitched Rectangles

Well I'm off to another load of laundry!  Thanks for the visit, Friends.  I'll be seeing you soon hopefully.

Hugs,
TK

Two Card - Quick Post

Hello!  A quick post to zip a couple cards off to a couple challenges.

Card #1 ~

This one was Inspired By the "pumpkin rocks" theme at IB #190, but I also wanted to make a cute scene.  I colored it in Copics, free-handing the ground and grass.  (P.S. My little buddies were colored last weekend while camping)  However, it'll be my next card that is entered into the challenge because I'm running out of time for multiple posts!

Card #2 ~

This one was actually Inspired By the sketch this time.  I hope you can see it, because I chose to keep those "ovals" a little discreet.  This card will be entered in IB #190 and TO #198 - Breast Cancer Awareness.

Well, Folks, that's it for me today!  I hope you enjoyed yourself, come back and visit again -- I do appreciate YOU!

Supplies:
Card 1 - SSS Harvest Mouse, PTI Autumn Hills (sentiment), PB Simple Stackers die
Card 2 - Stamplorations Fierce & Brave, PB Petite Blossoms stencil

Hugs,
TK

Thankful for Autumn Colors

 Hello!

Today I have a card for a challenge that I don't often get to play in, though I wish I did!  This card will go to CAS Mix Up:  Autumn Colors!  Drumroll please...

OK, I didn't actually need the drumroll but I enjoyed it 😁  I realize this didn't take rocket science, but I do like the card!  I merely "painted" stripes across the w/c paper, then did some ink smooshing with the leftover colors onto another piece of w/c card.  I used the secondary piece to die cut several layers of the sentiment.  I heat embossed the mondo leaf onto vellum and heat embossed it.  And a close-up ~

All layered up on the woodgrain c/s -- pretty fall colors.

Supplies:
   E by E - Mondo Leafa
   SSS - Thankful die

Thank you all for the wonderful visit!  Be blessed, be safe!

Hugs,
TK

Fun Layout Here!

Howdy, Friends!  It's been a bit hectic here, but I hope all is well with you.  I got a bit a crafty time in my craft room and have a a couple of cards to share.  I used a fun layout and adapted it to two different cards.  Let's see, shall we?

I used a new to me stamp to heat emboss the image in silver then did some simple water coloring.  After cutting the diagonal panels, the hot pink was glued flat while the image panel was popped up on foam tape.  I then angled the sentiment and heat embossed it in silver pearl, which turned into silver (doh)!  I used a slate base on this one.  I will enter this one over at FMS #459.

Next up is a fall inspired card, using the same layout.  You'll notice that the image didn't totally fit onto the angled panel, but I kinda like it hanging off the left side  :o)
The image was stamped in Clair Acorn which I thought would be too dark, but I really like the depth it added.  It was then Copic colored, and the left panel also popped up on foam tape.  Sentiment stamped in matching Clair Acorn.

This card will be going to IB - thankful and grateful, it is a Thanksgiving card after all.

Supplies - Card #1:
   SCT - Beautiful Flowers (NBUS)
Supplies - Card #2:
RC - With A Thankful Heart
   MCS - Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks for stopping by and visiting.  I hope to stop by your place soon, AND get back into my craft room again!

Hugs,
TK

Thanksgiving Blessings

Hope you don't think I'm rude, but just jumping in for another quick post.  It's almost Thanksgiving, and time is precious for everyone, so I'll jump right to it!  I made this card for CTS #349 and plus it's a card for Thanksgiving, I'd just as soon post it now so as not to bore everyone AFTER Thanksgiving!

A bit of white heat embossing, some Zig coloring, pp and a quick sentiment stamp!  Pretty easy, but here's a close-up because...

Supplies:
RC - With A Thankful Heart (pumpkin)
TE - Thanksgiving Blessings (yep, the sentiment!)
pp by "The Slab III" - remember that?  Yep, still got a TON...

Here's my inspiration:

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for stopping in, and being my inspiration and supporters.  If I don't get around before Thursday, please enjoy a lovely day and Happy Thanksgiving, for those in the US!

Hugs,
TK

Fall Colors!

You know how you can start out making a card in one direction, only to get totally turned around and head in another?  Well that's what these are all about!  I started out working on the Twofer Challenge - Holiday Greenery and started my wild and crazy water coloring.   Then the Inspired by...Blankets challenge kept sneaking into my brain so I ended up getting totally sucked into those blanket colors!  Needless to say, I did not use the "twist" and opted for two different occasions, though they could both look fall-ish, they are different as you'll see with the inside sentiment but I do admit they do have a similar "feel" so I hope they're different enough.  Without further yapping, here's the first card, a Fall/Thanksgiving ~

Once again, not so great photos, but you'll get the idea (this is actually cream cs)!  The sentiment was stamped on a leftover, splish-splashy piece of water coloring in fall colors that I made for the next next card.  I embossed the background, cut the leaves and placed them amidst the wind, and mounted the sentiment.

And the second card, an Encouragement ~

Inside Sentiment ` To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.  Eccl 3:1'

I used the leaf dies still wired together and embossing the background, then placed the leaves cut from the water color panel onto some of the embossed areas.  The sentiment was heat embossed using liquid platinum ep.  And for the two together ~

Do you see the inspiration blankets now?  The colors are beautiful and inviting!  I'll be entering these at:

Supplies:
Both -    LF Stitched Leaves dies
Card 1 - LF Stitched Windy BG
                 PTI Autumn Hill
Card 2 - CB In Stitches, Autumn
                 PTI Beautiful Blessings

Here's hoping you have a wonderfully, warm and cozy day!
Hugs,

A Couple Randoms

I found with returning from vacation, is that I neither have the time nor energy!  A vacation from a vacation?  Yes please...  Life has been hectic but returning to a load of "must have" work is exhausting.

However I did get a couple of cards made for challenges, but then I realized that I'd rather mail one to a friend than enter it in a challenge.  Now that its in her hands, I'm free to post a non-challenge card  :o)  Here's the first of two  ~

ETA:   I will be entering this over at Addicted to CAS #172 Birthday

And a second card, that'll START my stash for Thanksgiving cards!

This card has a bit of a hidden aspect to it; can you see it?  Here's a close-up...

Sorry for the TERRIBLE shadowing at the bottom, but it was the only way I could get the lighter cream to show.  While I wanted the cream to be in the background, it's super hard to photograph!  A bit of playing around with Photoshop and I could make it show up but so did all the shadows!  Ugh...

It's a long weekend and I'm hoping to get some more cards made; however, being away from my craft room has meant that my creativity is STILL on vacation!  I will try and see if I can join back in to post more soon.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a fabulous weekend.  And THANK YOU to all the veterans who serve(d) and to make our nation a better place for us!

Hugs,
TK

Happy Belated Thanksgiving Wishes

I actually made a couple cards (on time), got them mailed (possibly not on time), and then totally neglected to post it and send my wishes to all you wonderful friends!  So sorry, I hope to grow up and be better soon...  Meanwhile, I better get this posted at least while it's still Thanksgiving weekend!!!

I must admit, you might have to use a little creative imagination to get this card.  I wanted a pumpkin, which i didn't have so I used the closest thing I had (well kinda...)!  Here she goes, remember to freely use your imagination!

Do you get it?  Well, here's my story:  I really fell in love with this card from Sandie, I just really loved the white and kraft, and the simplicity of the whole thing! It just spoke to me the day I saw it.  So here's to you, Sandie!  Like I said, I didn't have a pumpkin, so I used SSS Single Roses dies to emboss a "pumpkin" and add some leaves for a pop of color.  Hindsight I think the embossed background distracts a little, and definitely defeats the "simplicity" factor, but I was trying to go for a quilted warmth.  I also think my photo isn't the clearest either!  Sorry!  Here's a clearer close-up:

I did want to say that I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and you're resuming life after the "stuffing"!  Thanks for popping in!

ETA:  I've been invited to join in at the latest Time Out challenge by the very sweet Sandie, so here goes!  Thanks, Sandie!!!

Hugs,
TK
