Happy Halloween?

Greetings!

So I ask, is Happy Halloween an oxymoron?  Depends on who you ask, I guess.  However, happy is a must if you ever want to see me around Halloween.  We've never really celebrated it with our kids, but it sure doesn't bother me that others do.  However I must say that me making Halloween cards is definitely something that I'm not used to.  It all started when someone (I wonder who?) enabled me to buy an adorable stamp set, then it took flight from there.  Wanna see?

This one is a true Halloween card though I'm unsure which direction it'll swoosh off to.  My second card is a bit of a mixture of holidays, like Halloween and Thanksgiving.  I changed directions in what I was doing, and so this morphed into a card to send to my grandson -- a thankful heart to have him in our lives!

They recently moved across the state and Grandpa and I aren't fairing so well...  this card whisked its way out the door to him.  As for these images?  Just you wait and see... there's more to come!

I'll send a card to NBUS #55 since I just got this stamp set, and Inspired by Boo and yes, I'm barely sliding in!!!

Supplies:
WF - Boo Combo stamps/dies (NBUS)
   MFT - Blueprints 27
MCS (oob) - Happy Thanksgiving sentiment on card #2

And while you're all snuggly in your comfy pajamas, think of me sitting outside in the mid 30's, huddled around a propane fire, sipping hot cocoa, watching a movie on a big screen and handing out candy to the kiddos!  Enjoy!

Hugs,
TK

Masculine Fall Birthday 2.0

Greetings, Friends!
I hope your week if off to a fabulous start and the remainder is a blessing yet to come.

Today's card is another masculine fall Birthday card ~

While I really wrestled with doing a bit of inking on the leaves, I decided that I really just liked the leaves and their texture with the blue and kraft colors.  While additional colors would've been beautiful, sometimes keeping it simple is just as good!  This card's pretty self-explanatory so I'll save you the ya-da ya-da!

Supplies:
   LF - Stitched Leaves
Splb - Labels 4 (I think.... lost my recipe note -- doh!)

Today is Halloween and while Hubbs and I don't celebrate it, I do hope you celebrate to your heart's content and consume all the goodies you desire!

Hugs,
TK

A Little Message to Say

Welcome!

Today's card comes from the fact that I still had this stamp out on my desk from this card, so I thought I'd change up the design and make another card from my stash ~

I Copic-colored in slightly mellower colors, placed a piece of dp horizontally and then mimicked the mailbox square with a foiled square sentiment label.  I also added a bit of glossy accents on the berries, as well.

Supplies:
   SSS - Cozy Wishes
Splb - ?? glimmer sentiment plate

Well hopefully I'll be hiding in my craft room this weekend for A TON of Christmas card making!  I'm WAY behind and need to make a bunch, so hopefully I'll be back with a few cards soon.  I was able to do some random coloring while on vacation, maybe that'll kickstart my deficit!

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Hugs,
TK

Masculine Fall Birthday

Hello!
I have returned from afar and can now catch up on a few posts.  Are you ready?

A quick card, but definitely a fall Birthday card ~

A foil plate, foiled in copper, die cut and placed over a color panel and sentiment added.  EZ PZ, lemon Squeezee!  This card went to a co-worker while I was away on vacation.  The other gals had a bit of a party, and I'm so happy they carried on without me -- my card's presence was enough for me...

I think I'll send this over to The Four Seasons - Anything Goes Fall, although I didn't use the inspiration photo board.

Supplies:
Splb - Autumn Leaf border glimmer plate & copper foil
PFS - Folk Edge Rectangle dies

Thanks for the visit -- see you soon!

Hugs,
TK

JUGS #700 - Happy 700th to you!

Hello and welcome!

Today's card is for the party going on at JUGS #700, I really had to participate!  Won't you join in the party?    Just look at these colors -- gorgeous!

Here's my contribution -

I hot foiled the pretty wreath in copper; while it's hard to see on this photo, the next photo will show it a bit better.  After foiling, I used a few Copics to color in the wreath.  It was then die cut and popped up off the woodgrain cs.  After searching for a long, straight sentiment, I was able to find this one and again foiled it in copper, cut it down and glued it over the wreath.

See that copper?  Yum!  Sorry about the shadow at the bottom, but I needed to tilt the card to capture the copper shine in light that was quickly fading.  I didn't stamp inside as I'll save this card for an unknown occasion, as it works for Sympathy, Prayer, Missing You, etc.

Supplies:
SSS - Sketched Rose Wreath foil plate & dies
Splb - More Glimmer Sentiments & dies

Thank you for the visit, and I hope you have an amazing week!

Hugs,
TK

On Your Special Day

 Good day, Friends!
Today I'm celebrating a special someone and her Birthday, here's the card ~

Today's card was water colored with a combination of DIs and pens, the darker accents were actually easier with the pens for me.  I embossed, painted and then cut it down before popping it up on the matching base.  A hot foiled sentiment on vellum was made, and then it was cut to match the oval used on the flowers.  I used 1/8" tape pieces, rolled it thin, and then placed them under the loops on words and at the very edge of the oval cut.  It's hard to see the sentiment in the photos, the next photo may help a bit.

Maybe not... but it really is easier to see IRL!  This embossing folder is making its debut, so I'll enter over at NBUS #55.  Thank you for the visit, and my wish is for you to have an amazing rest of the day!

Supplies:
   MB - Magnificent Magnolias e/f
   Splb - Yana''s Special Sentiments

Hugs,
TK

CASEing a DT Member

 Happy Tuesday!
While I haven't been able to play for awhile, I made time for this challenge over at Just Us Girls #669.  While there are so many possibilities (and I'll probably still do that), I really chose to challenge myself to step outside of my usual box.  I chose to CASE Vicki, due to her play with ephemera layering.  Her colors are gorgeous and bold, and her card is amazing -- go ahead and take a peek!  Now why is that "outside the box" for me?  Well, I've not had much success in multiple layers, even when they come from the same paper pack.
Here is my card ~

Oh!  I just noticed that lower left corner lifted!  Doh!  Oh, I'll fix it before it's used...  I left the sentiment off because I'm not sure of the occasion I'll use it for yet.

I CASEd Vicki's card pretty closely (using a new-to-me die, so I'll enter over at NBUS #55 plus the colors over at Color Hues #73 - Blue & Coral) but with fewer layers.  I'm pretty happy with this because it actually worked but I still am in awe over the card I CASEd!  Lots of visual texture here.

Supplies:
   HB - Log Cabin dp
PFS - Essential Folk Edge Rectangle die
   SSS - Eucalyptus Leaves dies
PTI - Tag Sale #5 die
   CB - Dragonfly Collage die

ETA:  Sorry but I was only able to "crop" horizontally in all of the challenges, so something is up with my "puter" -- please excuse the odd thumbnail!

Thank you for the visit, I appreciate each and every one of you!

Hugs,
TK

Birthday Mail

Hello!
I'm going to make this short (hopefully) and sweet (even more hopeful) so I can get this in a couple of challenges, one about to wrap.  I've used the colors from Color Throwdown #762 and an NBUS product.

Stamped image, colored with Copics, cut out with an arched die, pp placed underneath and sentiment stripe mounted below the image -- image and sentiment popped up on foam.  We were to use the colors cream, kraft, rust and mossy green.

Sad to say, I got this stamp set a couple of years ago with a SSS stamp kit.  While I really loved the stamps, I have never used it -- until now!  Shame on me for taking so long...

Supplies:
   SSS - Cozy Wishes (NBUS)
   WF - Nested Dome dies
HB - The Bees Knees pp

Thank you for the visit -- have an awesome week!

Hugs,
TK
