On Your Special Day

 Hello!
Popping in with a quick post -- this card has already been posted and received, though a bit late -- SORRY!
I used an NBUS product (or two), so I'll be sharing this card over there ~

You might have to enlarge this to see the details, but I used a cover plate to texture an oval panel, heat embossed the glimmer plate with matte silver and Copic colored the flowers using pinks and grays.  Here's your close-up ~

I actually started with this card below, but there was A LOT of shine going on!  While I like the card, the shine can be a bit overwhelming, there are just SO many colors reflected in this foil, that a little goes a long way.

Well that's it for me, and I hope you're off to a great week!

Supplies:
   SB - Illustrated Floral & solid (NBUS & GOM 8/'22); Yana's Special Sentiments (NBUS)
   LI - Circle & Diamond coverplate
   WF - Nesting Postage

Happy Crafting!

Midnight Faith, Hope & Peace

 Hello and surprise!  I'm back with another Christmas card, another hot foiled wonder and I'm loving this card in all its CAS wonder!  Another new glimmer plate (and stamp set too), so I made this scene pretty quick and simple.

I started with one full panel and foiled the stars at the top.  I had a little difficulty, if you look close, a couple of the stars kept poking all the way through the Hammermill cardstock.  I hopefully camouflaged this by adding a bit of gold pen through the hole and a dab of gold WoS.  Afterwards, I blended two blues (sorry, forgot which ones but they're from CP) to make the night sky so my stars could shine brighter - success!  Next I foiled the neighborhood panel towards the bottom of another cardstock, fussy cut it out and layered it over my night sky.  Both were trimmed down, then glued to my panel, and stamped a sentiment.

Supplies:
   SB - Glimmer Winter Village
   SSS - To You & Yours

Hope your week has been a fast one, and onto a great crafting weekend!

Hugs,
TK

Revisiting - Playing with Michele

 Hello!

Remember I said back in May that I had another card to post?  Well I'm finally getting it done!  This one has similar products, so I'll spare you all the details, you can refer back to this card for them.

And a close-up of that glorious glimmer shine!

The difference?  I used an old Sizzix curved scallop border and pinpoint rectangle for the sentiment, and of course, more flowers and petals.

Well that's it for me, I hope to be back soon but work is still getting in the way of my fun!  Take care, enjoy YOUR craft room and be happy!

Hugs,
TK

Playing Cards with Friends ala Michele!

 Hello, Friends!

I've come today with a fun "play date" with Michele and I hope you enjoy our fun!  She has honored me with an invitation to be her friend for the month -- but I hope the friendship will last longer - lol.  Michele is actually one of my longest and loudest cheerleaders, and as sweet as can be.  She's set the stipulations of our play date ~

* Flowers
*  Embossing
*  Remembering Mom

This Sunday is Mother's Day so you probably think I'll be making a Mother's Day card, and while I did, it'll be another post.  I decided to make my Mom a Birthday card since her Birthday is at the end of the month.
Here's my card ~

And a close-up of all that glorioius shine from the hot foiling ~

I made two other cards, but this is my FAVE!  After completing the embossing and hot foiling, I added extra color to the flowers and leaves with Copics for some depth but I must admit the colors are not quite true due to the rainy days we've had lately.  These are different colors for me and definitely different for mom, but I know she'll love it 'cause she's my Mom!  I used a few new products, so there's another plus.

Thank you for stopping by and please join me in visiting Michele' to see her beauty -- trust me, her cards all are!

Supplies:
   WRMK - Quilted (pin) embossing folder
   SB - Framed Details plate (NBUS), Happy Birthday plate, GOM 3/22 Glimmer Edge Roses (NBUS)
   MFT - Scalloped Edge die

Mom

 Hello, long time no see!

I haven't been here for a few days, okay, over a week but I'm here today with a card!  Another attempt at foiling with my Glimmer machine.  While the foiling turned out, I have to admit that I'm crazily overwhelmed and it intimidates me to no end!  Why?  I'm not sure.  Once I get the foiling done, I seem to be totally LOST as what to do with it next... strange.

Here's my attempt for today ~

The foil color is fuschia and the c/s is a light plum, but somehow they go together. I foiled the letters, then cut them apart with the matching dies.  The heart of flowers was foiled and then cut as well.
A close-up to show the shine ~

Well this technique is definitely stretching my brain and comfort zone!

This will at Time Out #208 - A Special Birthday challenge (Happy Birthday Time Out), where I was inspired by a celebration and the colors, and NBUS #36, because both hot foil plates are new.

Supplies:
   PF - Inna Alphabet foil plates & dies
   SB - Love Enclosed foil plate (GOM 2/22O), Fuschia foil
   PB - Simple Stackers die
   PTI - My Mother, My Friend (sentiment)

Thank you ALL for stopping in for a visit.  See you soon!

Hugs,
TK
