Playing Cards with Friends ala Michele!

 Hello, Friends!

I've come today with a fun "play date" with Michele and I hope you enjoy our fun!  She has honored me with an invitation to be her friend for the month -- but I hope the friendship will last longer - lol.  Michele is actually one of my longest and loudest cheerleaders, and as sweet as can be.  She's set the stipulations of our play date ~

* Flowers
*  Embossing
*  Remembering Mom

This Sunday is Mother's Day so you probably think I'll be making a Mother's Day card, and while I did, it'll be another post.  I decided to make my Mom a Birthday card since her Birthday is at the end of the month.
Here's my card ~

And a close-up of all that glorioius shine from the hot foiling ~

I made two other cards, but this is my FAVE!  After completing the embossing and hot foiling, I added extra color to the flowers and leaves with Copics for some depth but I must admit the colors are not quite true due to the rainy days we've had lately.  These are different colors for me and definitely different for mom, but I know she'll love it 'cause she's my Mom!  I used a few new products, so there's another plus.

Thank you for stopping by and please join me in visiting Michele' to see her beauty -- trust me, her cards all are!

Supplies:
   WRMK - Quilted (pin) embossing folder
   SB - Framed Details plate (NBUS), Happy Birthday plate, GOM 3/22 Glimmer Edge Roses (NBUS)
   MFT - Scalloped Edge die

Hugs,
TK

  1. What mom wouldn't love a handmade card? TK you've remembered your Mom's birthday so beautifully today! Yellow roses happen to be my own Mom's favorite - of course I love them, too!
    You are really having such wonderful success with foiling, my friend! Maybe that should be our next session? Because, of course we will have MANY more! Your quilted embossing is so gorgeous - don't think I haven't noticed the grey!
    Thanks so much for accepting my invitation, TK! It was a joy to Play Cards with you this month! x
