Four Paws and Two Challenges

 Hello!

I hope you don't mine me popping in again so soon, but the second card I was able to make this past weekend needs to get posted!  This card will go to Christmas Kickstart #63 - Pawfectly Pawesome Christmas and MFT Color Challenge #192 - Kraft, Chocolate, Green and Blue.  Here's my card, while I still have time ~

I first stamped, colored and die cut the sled, paw-holders and ice.  Afterwards, I cut a mask with a slope and used the lower portion to mask off my snow while I blended the sky lightly.  Afterwards, I removed the mask and careful brushed some perfect pearls over the ice and the base, where the snow drifts would be.  Unfortunately, when I took my pic, it was later in the day and I was unable to grab that shimmer but it's there!  I assembled the card and stamped my sentiment.  Wow, that's a few Christmas cards (999 to go - haha)!

Supplies:
   MFT - Toasty Greetings stamp
   W+9 - Winter Pals stamps/dies
PTI - In the Meadow die

That's it for me, Folks -- have a great week and hug a loved one!

Hugs,
TK

Today... Is All About You

 Hi!

I'm so glad you stopped by, I've been needing a little visiting.  I had a terrible start to my weekend (it even started early), but all is better today and I was able to make it to the craft room!  I didn't accomplish much (around the loads of laundry), but I made it!!!

I do have one card for today, masculine in design, blue and green in color so it'll head to TCH #43 - Blue & Green.  I think I used a new stencil too, well an NBUS stencil but I'm not quite positive since it is a set of 3 and I'm unsure which one I used previously, so for the sake of honesty, I'll opt of that challenge.  The stencil is a pack of 3, but really they are three unique stencils.  Here's my card ~

This one is for our neighbor's Birthday next month, but I decided to try to work ahead since August and September seem to be months that I lose ground on just about everything.  I ink blended the "cubes" in two colors by masking between in each row, and swapping colors and brushes.  The large and small sentiment portions are both heat embossed, using super fine white powder so I didn't lose those tiny little words -- man are they thin!

Supplies:
   PTI - Modern Stencils (1 of 3)
SSS - Life Is A Party (whoa - this is NBUS - oh well)!

Take care and stay safe in the heat -- I know we've got a heat warning for the next few days and looking at hitting triple digits tomorrow.  I know others are already in the heat wave, so please be careful.

Hugs,
TK

Wishing You A...

 Hello again!

I made two cards last weekend, and today I'll share the second.  I started out with the idea to get really creative and use something unique for my wreath for the CAS Christmas challenge.  However, while I succeeded with the unique wreath idea, I totally lost sight of the "CAS" portion -- oops!  So now this one will be going to NBUS #39 for using a couple newer (to me), unused glimmer products.

There's a whole lotta shine on this baby!  It's a bit hard to tell from the angle, but the poinsettias are the same red cardstock, and the greenery is all a pine needle type green.  I hot foiled the base first, then the floral bits and die cut them out, finding a suitable spot then using Press n Seal to pick the bits up and glue them back where I wanted them.  The sentiment strip was then foiled, narrowly cut and bannered, while sliding underneath the left side of the wreath.

Supplies:
SB - Diamond Floral Frame & dies, Christmas Organic Foliage and die (both NBUS)

Thanks, Everyone, for sharing a bit of your day with me!

Hugs,
TK

'Tis the Season

 Hello!

Glad to see you, and that I actually was able to make a couple of cards this weekend - yay!  This first one will be going to CAS Christmas Card challenge June - Wreaths (and a great big welcome to Lisa, isn't she such a doll?!).

I pulled out a favorite wreath, stamped and embossed it onto watercolor card, then painted with DIs and a bit of Perfect Pearls (well the PPs ended up a bit more than expected).  A sentiment was heat embossed in white on matching c/s - quick and easy for my brain, that stretches for anything in the craft room these days.

...and a bit of shimmer... (there really is more red and less pearls IRL)

Supplies:
   MB - Christmas Botanicals

I hope you had a fabulous and productive weekend.  I will be around as I can, work is still going strong so I'll be visiting as I can.  Have a great week.

Hugs,
TK

Happy Father's Day

Hi!  Quickly popping in to post a couple of CAS cards.

Today I'd like to wish all the fathers, all the fathers-to-be, and all those that dream of being a father, a very Happy Father's Day.  I know the struggle is real for men too, and so you are honored today as well.  I truly hope that you are celebrated, cherished and loved, and left with some incredible memories.

I ink blended with a new layered stencil, cut it down a bit, then found a matching card base and accent for the sentiment strip.  Perfectly QACAS.  I do apologize for the horrible photos, recent gray days don't help.

Waste not, want not... I used the left over portion of the stenciled piece and cut it down again, found some old banner dies that perfectly fit my alphas, and voila!  Another QACAS card.

I hope that your day is filled with great moments that fill your mind and heart with perfect memories!

Supplies:
   Altenew Scattered Cubes stencils
   Fiskars - Hooplah (Father's Day)
   PTI - Banner Builder
   MCS - Chunky Alphabet

Hugs,
TK

Revisiting - Playing with Michele

 Hello!

Remember I said back in May that I had another card to post?  Well I'm finally getting it done!  This one has similar products, so I'll spare you all the details, you can refer back to this card for them.

And a close-up of that glorious glimmer shine!

The difference?  I used an old Sizzix curved scallop border and pinpoint rectangle for the sentiment, and of course, more flowers and petals.

Well that's it for me, I hope to be back soon but work is still getting in the way of my fun!  Take care, enjoy YOUR craft room and be happy!

Hugs,
TK

Grateful (for the card & the color challenge)!

 Hello again!

I know, I just posted yesterday, and I haven't been around for a month.  I promise I'll try not to wear out my welcome

😁

I saw this color challenge and I just HAD TO use it!  Oh man, I love these colors together.  What do you think?

Wow!  Love it!  Here's my card ~

I used a "new to me" layered stencil, which I obviously didn't line up the greatest - but hey, I actually love the white peeking through so it's a go for me.  The white peeps make it easy to use the white rectangle behind the ink-blended panel, plus on the sentiment.  And because this is a new stencil set, I'll be sending this to NBUS #39 too.

Supplies:
PF - Geo Tiles stencils (NBUS), Diag. Stitched Rectangle die
   SSS - Grateful

Sorry, MFT, no products of yours today, but I got you covered on the other two challenges!

Thanks, Everyone, for taking your time to stop by!  Love the visits!

Hugs,
TK

Many Thanks -- Dustin' off the cobwebs

Well, hello, Friends!

I've returned, though I'm not sure it's with a vengeance - lol.  I have made a couple cards through this weekend, but boy did I struggle!  Wow!  My motivation was there but I struggled at every turn, and a couple of the cards will not get posted!  Finally, I was able to pull from a couple of challenges that spurred me on to a "postable" card, and for that I'm thankful.

I used the MFT Wednesday Sketch #596, but I wanted to really do the monthly MFT Slimline Challenge - Thank you, so this card will be entered there.  I used the sketch pretty (ok absolutely) literal, and that was what got the cobwebs starting to fall.  Here's the challenges ~

And my card ~

It's kinda funny, but the colors on the dark green almost look velour-ish in this photo to me.  The cardstock is all white, then I used my Copics to color the leaves, then the border and banners.  The border is actually the snippet from the center cut, removed and colored, then replaced.  EZ peasy, but it got me over the hump!

Supplies:metric Greenery, Blueprints #27

Well that's it for me today, I'll probably be back tomorrow with another one, I know it has a deadline coming up soon!  I do hope all you are doing well and I hope to visit soon too!

Hugs,
TK
