Masculine

Hello again!
Today I have a couple of cards, they were sent out for Father's Day but I hadn't gotten them posted yet.  The first card will go to NBUS #51 for a new stamp set ~

I made a little scene, colored everything with Copics, a little ink blending for the sun rays and put a little Wink of Stella on Mr Fish.  Hindsight, I added some glossy accents to the fish but failed to take another picture.

For my second card, I used a favorite gnome.  He was actually sitting in my TBD box already colored, but I did add some more coloring to change up the color from a slightly purple blue to a deep teal.

I initially was going to scrap this guy because I re-stamped after coloring to darken the outline and didn't get it quite square - arrghhh!  I think I successfully used a Copic liner to just make wider lines and salvage the cutie!  He was then cut down and popped onto a matching card base.

Supplies:
   Card 1 ~
HB - Hooked on You & Fishing Legend (both NBUS)
      PF - Diagonal Stitched Rectangle
   Card 2 ~
St Bella - Gnome on a Swing
      PF - Diagonal Stitched Rectangle

I hope you had a wonderful weekend (an extended one for those in the US celebrating Junteenth) with lots of sunshine and fun!

Hugs,
TK

JUGS #684 Photo/Moodboard

 Hello again!
It's week three for me guesting over at Just Us Girls Challenge, and I'm having a blast!  They have a creative photo for us today ~

What do you see?  Beaches, cabanas, changing huts, maybe even little shops...  Would you like to see what I see?  I think it'll shock most of you, but I guess it depends on how well you know me
(and Hubbs)!
Here it is, hang onto your seats ~

Yep!  I see a garage!  lol
You see, this'll be for Father's Day today (we're celebrating early) for Hubbs, and he's a motorhead (with a wife that tilts that way too).  Yes, we both ride motorcycles, love cars especially the classics and race cars, plus pretty much anything with an engine.  Hubbs has a huge shop and it's packed to the gills with toys!  This would be his motorcycle, a 2008 Harley in black and bronze, though his is larger with seats for two and hard bags for luggage.
So what do you think?  Did I hit the nail on the head for Hubbs?  I think so!  I'm so glad I got these new sets just in time.

I started with a base and embossed it with a bricks folder because our house and shop are part brick and siding.  I cut the "garage" base and added siding strips that I did a faux woodgrain on with gray ink and gray trim, then added a small, embossed panel for the garage door.  I stamped, colored and die cut all the elements and laid them out, popped up the oil can (you know Harleys - lol), plus hung up the adorable sign for fun!

Won't you join in our fun?
This photo could go so many ways, so have a go at it and join us this week at JUGS #684.

Supplies:
HB - Dad's Garage, Take A Ride (both NBUS)
   Szx - Bricked e/f

Happy Father's Day

Hi!  Quickly popping in to post a couple of CAS cards.

Today I'd like to wish all the fathers, all the fathers-to-be, and all those that dream of being a father, a very Happy Father's Day.  I know the struggle is real for men too, and so you are honored today as well.  I truly hope that you are celebrated, cherished and loved, and left with some incredible memories.

I ink blended with a new layered stencil, cut it down a bit, then found a matching card base and accent for the sentiment strip.  Perfectly QACAS.  I do apologize for the horrible photos, recent gray days don't help.

Waste not, want not... I used the left over portion of the stenciled piece and cut it down again, found some old banner dies that perfectly fit my alphas, and voila!  Another QACAS card.

I hope that your day is filled with great moments that fill your mind and heart with perfect memories!

Supplies:
   Altenew Scattered Cubes stencils
   Fiskars - Hooplah (Father's Day)
   PTI - Banner Builder
   MCS - Chunky Alphabet

Hugs,
TK

Happy Father's Day

Hello, and sorry I haven't been around much!  Life is busy, summer is upon us and all that stuff.  Anyway, I have a few cards to share so I'll hop to it.  I do want to extend my wishes to all Fathers tomorrow, past, present or future -- hope your day is terrific!

Card #1 ~

This one went to Hubbs, thus the "family" all around, and yes there's 5 of us!  While the outside sentiment is different for a Father's Day card, it's where we all want to be to celebrate him!  This stamp is also NBUS, so I think it'll go over there to visit!

Supplies:
CCC - Better Together (Anita Jeram), Copic colored
HB - Log Cabin (snippet of paper)

Card #2 and 3 ~

The colors on these came from a Color Hues challenge, but I sadly missed that one...

Other than the background stamp, which was NBUS, these two are entirely made up of snippets of paper, leftovers from scrapbooking days gone by.  They all came from the same OLD pack, so it was easy to match colors.  I stamped the bg using chocolate on kraft but it looks closer to black, and one lighter, one darker.  The alphabets were also in the pp pack, but I whittled them down and popped them up.  Due to all the "snippets", one of these will be heading over to Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Supplies:
   SSS - Deco Diamonds
Unknown pack of pp (from Walmart, I believe)

Thank you for the visit and comments, I am so thankful for you all!

Hugs,
TK

To ALL the Fathers...

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there, the fathers by birth, the fathers by adoption, the fathers by doing the work -- Hope you have a terrific day, basking in your blessings!

This card is for Hubbs, and he's received it now so it's safe to post.  I used the colors at CTD595 (over now), and fell in love with them!  I have to say, the bold colors, graphic style really make me happy, I'm please with this one...These are colors are a "no brainer" in my world!  Hope you enjoy ~

And a close-up to show the front panel is popped up on an inked strip to match the stars colored with Ziggs...

Supplies:
   MFT - Stars Above

Thank you for stopping by, enjoy your day and hug those men who are important in your life.  Have a great day.

Hugs,
TK

Hello again!  I hope that everyone is staying safe & healthy, it's a crazy world out there!!!

I'm popping in for a quick post of 3 CAS cards I made.  I have to apologize, the photos aren't great, and the colors were even changed some but you'll get the idea.  I used the sketch at FMS437, but didn't make the cut-off so they'll have to stand on their own today.

I believe this is on Neenah Kraft

Card 2 ~

Relax.... and enjoy Father's Day!

Here's wishing all those fathers out an amazing, relaxing, love-filled day!  I hope there's good food, good people, and lots of love!  This card is to Hubbs!  I know  our girls, son-in-laws and grandson will be here, but here's hoping that there's no lawn to mow, weeds to pull or cars to work on!  Enjoy!

This was made with a rubber stamp from Crafter's Companion and is its first time to see ink.  I've been tempted a few times but ran from fear of coloring.  However, yesterday I got out the Copics, colored the image and rather like it; I'm happy I had the fortitude to try!  It was then cut with Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die and placed on an olive base.

Thanks for popping in, and I hope to visit all you friends soon too!  Enjoy your day!

Hugs,
TK

Belated Father's Day post

Well you've noticed I haven't been around much, but I have gotten a few cards made in this time.  I was unable to post them for various reasons, but I'm gonna get to that now...  My first is a card I made for my dad, very late but made with loving thoughts just the same.  So without further ado -

I used a smooshed panel of Inka Gold, then cut using a cover plate.  The pieces were arranged, then a couple banners cut along with the letters.  All were applied to the cardstock, and here's the deets:

Dies:  PTI Harlequin cover plate, PTI Father's Day, PTI Smooth Alpha and My Craft Spot (closed) Banners: Straight.
Paper:  Essentials by Ellen woodgrain, Strathmore WC paper, PTI Smokey Shadow and scraps of blue
Other:  Inka Gold Steelblue and Silver

And in addition, a bunch of the dies are NBUS!  Yay!  I did it, Darnell!!!
Here's a close-up to see the texture a bit!

Well I've missed my Craft Room immensely, but even more all you sweet people out there.  Hopefully no one has given up on me, and I can post a few more cards...  Blessings to all, hope your week is going great.

Hugs,
TK
