Sending Birthday Hugs

 Hello, All!

I have another card today, that has hopefully made it to its destination in time.  BUT I wanted to forewarn you to hold onto your socks, because I just might blow them off!  No, the card isn't that terrific, but I made one without hot foil!  Yes, I truly did!  I've been on a challenge to use all my NBUS plates, so I've been a little lop-sided in techniques, but I'm sitting up straight today.  Here's my latest make ~

Pretty CAS, but I knew which stamp set I was going to use when I saw the challenge over at Just Us Girls.  Unfortunately I knew my card wouldn't arrive in time to make the challenge (weekly challenges and cross-country or across the pond mailing just don't work)!  Anywhoooo.... I stamped my leaves with a lighter green then went back and stamped a little darker green to give some depth.  My sentiment was stamped over top, and the Hugs was layered 3 times and mounted underneath.  Here's a close-up for a little of the depth ~

Suplies:
   SSS - Leaf Canopy
   PTI - Big Hugs stamps/dies
   LF - Scripty Words

I hope this one made it to its destination!
Take care and stay cool (if you're in the dreaded heat like we are here)!

Hugs,
TK

Midnight Faith, Hope & Peace

Hello and surprise!  I'm back with another Christmas card, another hot foiled wonder and I'm loving this card in all its CAS wonder!  Another new glimmer plate (and stamp set too), so I made this scene pretty quick and simple.

I started with one full panel and foiled the stars at the top.  I had a little difficulty, if you look close, a couple of the stars kept poking all the way through the Hammermill cardstock.  I hopefully camouflaged this by adding a bit of gold pen through the hole and a dab of gold WoS.  Afterwards, I blended two blues (sorry, forgot which ones but they're from CP) to make the night sky so my stars could shine brighter - success!  Next I foiled the neighborhood panel towards the bottom of another cardstock, fussy cut it out and layered it over my night sky.  Both were trimmed down, then glued to my panel, and stamped a sentiment.

Supplies:
   SB - Glimmer Winter Village
SSS - To You & Yours

Hope your week has been a fast one, and onto a great crafting weekend!

Merry Christmas in Foil

Hello!  I've come bearing another Christmas card!  I thought that since I didn't have any other card needs breathing down my neck, I'd get another Christmas card in my stash.

This one is pretty CAS, imho, so I hope it works for The Flower Challenge #70 - CAS, and a new glimmer plate will allow me to enter at NBUS #40, as well.

Pretty CAS, huh?  This one came together quickly which is about a miracle for me!  A little trimming to bring in another color, a pop of red ribbon and ta da!

Supplies:
SB - Glimmer Holiday Florals bg

Thanks for stopping by, stay cool and safe!

Hugs,
TK

Dragonfly Birthday Wishes

 Hello, Everyone!

Today I've got a couple of cards, one that will go to CAS Mix-Up - Things with Wings.

I started with a couple of panels out of my unused panels box, one watercolored with a bit of pearls, and another with brushos.  Once I cut the frame from both panels, I decided I wanted a complementary color for the inside rectangle and used the other panel for it.  Using the negative rectangle from the brusho panel, I cut out my base dragonfly and added a leftover vellum top dragonfly.

I left the sentiment simple, to keep it CAS.  This one is already in the mail.

I made this next card first, but with a stamp set instead of the die, using both parts of my watercolor panel for the frame and rectangle, and changing up the layout.  Both cards used watercolor panels and brusho panels.  I think I prefer the top card only because the dragonfly allows you to see the brushos better - what do you think?

Supplies:
Card 1 ~ Honey Bee - Truly Great Friends die, CAS Friday - Everyday Dragonfly
Card 2 ~ Honey Bee - Truly Great Friends, die, Clearly Besotted - Dragonfly Collage, Alt. - Birthday Greetings

Well, that's it for me today.  Not much accomplished but I do hope I get back in my craft room soon!

Hugs,
TK

Celebrate!

 Hello!

Today's the Fourth of July, and I hope everyone had a safe and happy day!  Our day was pretty laid back, but wonderful.

Today I have a card, it can be used for the Fourth of July or a Birthday - in this case, it'll go to a friend who's Birthday is this coming weekend.  I'll enter this over at TCH #44 - Red & Blue

Sorry for the bad photo, with all the sunshine we've had, I should've gotten a better photo.  The stripes were stamped, with a masked upper left corner.  I cut the blue square and cut the star inside it.  After popping it up, I placed a few stars underneath but glued them down so I could see all of them. I love this dark blue!  A close-up for the sentiment ~

While this card turned out nothing like I started, seemed to make a change every time I took a step!

Supplies:
   PTI - Super Stripes
   MFT - Stars Above
   SSS - Mini Stars
   C&9 - Eat Cake

Thanks for the visit, see you soon!

Hugs,
TK

Butterfly Wings & Foil

Welcome!

Today I've come with a card for a couple challenges ~ CTD #699 and NBUS #40, plus I'll send this over to the Spellbinder's Glimmer kit gallery.

Notice that sentiment?  It comes via the Glimmer of the Month (June) kit; (secret - a sentiment close to my heart, I'll let you guess who).  I found a brusho background that had the perfect colors (don't see the lavendar?  zoom in...), cut it down, die cut the butterfly pieces, hot foiled the accents and sentiment, and assembled it together - easy peasy!

A closer look at the blues and purples.

Supplies:
SB - Stitched Butterflies glimmer kit, silver foil
Brushos, and smooshed ink on the butterfly base

Hope you are keeping cool from the heat wave, if you're in the midst of one -- our heat has finally jumped here, and I'd just as soon stay in and make cards!
Take care and enjoy a fun and safe Fourth!

Hugs,
TK
