Flowers, and Flowers!

Hello, and welcome to 2021!  Oh yah, it's me that's late... 😕  Anyway, here's the official start of 2021 for me and the blog, I mean it's only January 18th!  Ugh!  I have some cards to share, and send to a few challenges - the cards were all made with the same stamp set, a new to me set actually a "win" from The Twofer Challenge.

Card #1 -

And a close-up ~

Heat embossed the flower with silver pearl e/p, water colored with Zigs, dry embossed to create a "frame" (somehow it appears my lines wandered around which I assure you they are straight), then again heat embossed the sentiment.  This one head to The Flower Challenge #52-embossing, .

Card #2 -

Stamped image offset, colored with Copics, placed off-centered with some matching pp to make those leaves pop!

And the two together ~

AND I actually made a Threefer, but I'm saving that one for another day  😉

Supplies:

Stamplorations Bloomfully:  Kindness (for both cards)

Thanks for spending a moment, and sharing in my "makes", you all make my heart happy!

Stars Abound!

Hello again, it's nice to meet up, see what everyone is up to and to share a bit of my latest creates -- one of the few things we can actually do and truly enjoy!  I do adore the friendships afforded me through this amazing craft we love.

I'll start with Card #1, a Christmas card to add to the stash!

I started with cherry red cs, and stamped an NBUS sentiment stamp that I got at the end of last Christmas season -- I adore it!  I then cut the panel down, popped it up to the right of a bit of gold stripey washi tape.  I then added the gold stars.  This card will go to TO#174 - Festivals with a twist of shimmer and NBUS #20.

  Card #2, a card for a friend ~

I started by die cutting the stars in a staggered position, allowing for a centered space for the sentiment.  After cutting, and placing some silver washi down both sides,  I arranged the star stamps through the die cut piece, stamped and heat embossed, then popped up the die cut piece over the stamps.  A close-up...

Sorry the color of the cs doesn't show well, I presume it's from the gray skies outside and using indoor lighting, it's actually a deep green in color.  These two cards will got to Twofer #33 - Stars.

Supplies:
   Stampendous - Joy Has Come
MFT - Stars Above stamps & dies

Thank you all for popping in to visit and leave some friendly love.  I hope you have a wonderful week, and your days are filled with love and crafting!

Hugs,
TK

Birch Tree Collage(s)

Well, hello, we meet again!  These days, that My Friends, is particularly wonderful!  A lot going on around here as in others parts I'm sure, but I just know that we're still blessed through it all.

I have a couple cards for you today, to send off to a couple-a challenges.  I've  been wanting to use this die for awhile, and just hadn't come up with a good idea.  So no, I've challenged myself to not one but two cards while I had it out.   As it turns out, I'm kinda liking both - lol -- you know that doesn't always happen, right?!  Both cards go to the Twofer Challenge: Trees and one to the NBUS challenge #18

My first card is a masculine Birthday, and here's its photo ~

This card was originally intended to go to Loll's CAS Mix Up challenge but the background just didn't work out as I had hoped.  I spritzed the cardstock, sprinkled on some Ost. Blue Brushos and they just didn't move like I'd hoped.  So I loaded up a brush with more water and intended to brush it all out, hoping for an ombre dark sky -- nope!  But I do like the sky.  In the close-up, you can see a few of the remaining Brusho flecks, plus I added some clear sparkle pen "stars" ~

So..... then what to do for a "twofer" with such a distinct die?  I decided to center it off the side, letting the tree remain the focal point.  I then used 3 colors of DI's to blend a sky on a panel behind it.  While this seemed a great idea, the card itself seemed quite calming so it became my "Sympathy" card ~

Lots of white space on this one, Folks.  While I actually am not in need of a Sympathy card (that's a blessing), I'm glad that I have one in my stash since it always seems so much harder to make one when you need it.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit, I appreciate them.  I also appreciate all the workers who are dealing with the devastating fires, and the pandemic workers too.

Supplies:
SSS Birch Tree Collage (for both cards)
#1 - PF Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die
          Alt Birthday Greetings
   #2 - MFT Deepest Sympathy

Hugs and best wishes,
TK

Twofer Challenge #29 - Butterflies

Hello, Friends!  Hope you're having a GREAT day!

Today I'm Guest Designer over at Twofer Challenge, so I want to welcome you!  Here's the prompt for this month ~

And my two cards ~

Today I present one Friend card, and one Birthday card!  I used the same die one both cards, although one may be harder to see.  If you look closely, the pink butterfly on the left is 2-layered, one solid, one fancy.  It is the solid butterfly that I used on both.

Card #1 ~

The white panel is clear embossing paste through a stencil and dried (actually previously done, so one snipped used up).  The butterflies were cut (one layered), and for the tag/label, I used a plain mini doilie die and cut it to look like clouds, layered twice too.

Card #2 ~

For this card, I die cut a square of glitter paper.  From an inner square due from the same set, I cut the white base and again cut the butterfly within it.  The white base was popped up over the turquoise glitter, and a spare vellum butterfly was attached, with its wings raised, as if fluttering by.  And a close-up...

I'm not sure if you can detect the glitter, other than the varied turquoise color because the day I chose to take photos was not the best, but you gotta deal with it, right?!

Well that's it for me, Folks, and I sure hope you join in on the fun.  Here's the basic rules ~

Card #1
   SSS - Leanna Butterfly die
   SB - Hemstiitch Squares
   Alt - Birthday Greetings

Card #2
SSS - Leanna & Chrissy Butterfly dies
   PTI - Modern Day Stencil
   MCS - Tiny Doilies (NLIB)
   PTI - Hello Friend

Thanks again, Darnell, for the honor and fun!  You sure know how to boost a gal's confidence  :o)

Hugs,
TK
