One More Cast...

Hello!

Today I come bearing a card for a sketch challenge today.  Here's the inspiration over at FMS529 ~

Do you see what I see?  Flip it 90 degrees to the left...
I see water, a sandy beach and a miraculous Spring/Summer sky just before dawn.
Here's my card ~

I told ya!
I stamped and Copic colored the water, beach, palm trees and Mr Cat, who recently retired..  To get a little wave action, I added white highlights on the water.  Then after masking that portion, I ink blended the sky with Scattered Straw, Ripe Persimmon and Fired Brick, then stamped the sentiment.  This card went to one of my bosses today, who retired and can now enjoy the slower pace of fishing and a nap in the hammock!
Supplies:
   CCC - Recharge stamp set
DIs, Copics and my trusty white pen
Oh yah!  I also put in a couple of small, puffy white clouds, filled with white enamel (I had to hurry out the door with the card this morning, and didn't get another photo)

I'll be catching up with all of you soon, two days of overtime so far this week... I'm hoping tomorrow is not another!  See you soon, and enjoy the coming Spring weather - if you're living in the right place, I guess!

Hugs,
TK

Alleluia

 Oh My!
Hello, and where did THAT weekend go?!  It seems I have a penchant for losing my weekends, I sure hope yours was enjoyed!  I helped Hubbs do some work in my laundry/sewing room getting it nearer to being done so time flew by.  I spent today doing errands, a quick visit to Mom's, cleaning, laundry, and a short period in my Craft Room.  I had a couple of attempts that didn't work out as I wanted, but I'll have another go at that later!  What did I manage to make into a card?

Not a typical look for my cards, nor style but at least I got one car done, right?  I started with the layout at MFT WSC #586 and the colors at CTD #685, plus I used a new item, so this'll also head to
NBUS #36.  I have to admit, water coloring is not my forte!  I try and try but it just doesn't seem my best.  Oh well hopefully I'm learning and growing, right!  I really wanted white lilies but I just couldn't make that work, so these tiger lilies will work for today.  The water colored panel and polka dotted panels are both flat, but I popped up the sentiment on foam.

I'm trying to get a jump on Easter cards (ha!), so I think I better have some better luck soon!  Wish me well, won't you?

Supplies:
MFT - paper pack (an oldie but goodie)
   Anita's - Lilies (another oldie)
SSS - Alleluia  (Here's my NBUS)
   WF o- Nesting Postage dies

Well another week, another card or two, maybe?  Hope your week is awesome and you get to your Craft Room often.

Hugs,
TK

Just A Note

 Good day, Sweet Friends!

I come bearing a card and will show it two ways, because well, I just couldn't make up my mind which background I like best!  I think most will like the lighter background, so I'll add it first but I think the colors show up a bit truer on the dark background.  This card will go to The Flower Challenge #66 - Scraps, Color Hues #37 - Yellow & Pale Teal, and NBUS #36.

CAS but I like!  An embossed panel, "scrap" flowers from this card that was stamped, colored and die cut, plus a stamped and die sentiment!  These were actually the flowers that I didn't care for, and tossed them aside, but low and behold I love them here!  Here's the darker version ~

Easy PZ, as they say!

Supplies:
   W+9:  Doodle Buds stamps/dies
CP:  Scallops & Dots frame dies
   SB:  Plaid e/f
AJVD - Thank you (the sentiment, a freebie, and NBUS)
   PTI - Label dies

This year, my job moved to 8 9's, meaning I work 9 hr days for 8 days, have a "shorter" 8 hr day and have a 3-day weekend every other weekend.  In theory, this sounds marvelous except that I usually work OT too!  Somehow, this Old Bird is tired, so sorry for the lack of cards and visits.  Maybe I'll get used to it soon!  Have a great week.

Hugs,
TK

Doodle Buds Birthday Ditto

 Hello again!

Yesterday was a good day!  I actually met my first stamping friend in person!  Then my day ended in my Craft Room, what more could a girl ask for, right?!  It all started when I hadn't heard from her for a bit, reached out and decided today was the day to meet.  We had planned on this before but with COVID, plans got set aside and blah blah blah (you know the rest).  But her Birthday is today, so I decided to hand deliver her card!  Happy Birthday, Ida!

This stamp set was still sitting on my desk from a few cards ago, and since I love it, I decided another card was in order.  I stamped and heat embossed, then water colored the elements and cut them out with their dies.  They were set up to resemble the MFTWSC585, plus I added a sentiment strip popped up, as was one of the flowers.  I thought about stamping the sentiment flat, but I really wanted the leaves tucked underneath so I went that route.  Oh yes, and parts of each were winked with Stella.

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend -- ours is a bit gray but still warming up!

Supplies:
   W+9:  Doodle Buds stamps/dies
   AE:  Load of Wishes sentiment
   Wink of Stella

May you be blessed today and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Hugs,
TK

We met up at a coffee stand in her town an hour away, and chatted for quite some time.  My grandson took the road trip with me, and while he might've been a bit bored, he added to conversation a bit but let us chat otherwise.  If you'd like to "meet" Ida, head on over to her blog -- she's into photography too!

 Good day, Sweet Friends!

Today I bring a card for a color challenge over at MFT CC #185 and Time Out Challenge #209 - CUTE.  Now I might be a bit biased, but I think I hit the bullseye!

This whole card was pretty easy to put together -- I love it.  Can't wait to give this away in the upcoming days for one of the many upcoming Birthdays I have.  Here it is in full...

Hope it makes YOU smile (we all need more smiles those these days)!

Supplies:
   W+9:  Unforgettable stamps
   PTI:  Lg. Smooth Alpha dies

Things are warming up here, daffodils and grape hyacinth blooming, and things are greening up.  Hope things are getting brighter for you.

Hugs,
TK

Masculine Geo Birthday

Hello!

I'm squeaking in to get a card into the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches #526.   I made this for an upcoming Birthday and the sketch sparked this card ~

I started with the layout and found an old stamp set that works well for any masculine card.  For the inside, I brought in the colors and a bit of fun ~

I used a couple strips of white scraps and swiped the ink pads to color the strips.

Supplies:
   PTI - Sketched Shapes stamps
   Alt - Birthday Greetings stamps
PF - Diagonal Stitched Rectangle dies

Be kind, show compassion and have a great week!

Hugs,
TK

Be Brave

Hello, Friends -- so glad we could meet again!

In a recent crafty cram session, I made a card that's already been mailed and hopefully received.  It's off to encourage a sweet friend to be brave and take time to heal.  Here's my card, that will be sent to Color Hues #36 - Blue and Yellow ~ TOTALLY in support of Ukraine!

I actually used two yellows, the soft yellow (which is actually a bit brighter IRL), and yellow gold embossing powder.  I stamped, heat embossed and die cut on this card.  This will go in support of Ukraine.  A CAS card to warm the heart!

Supplies:
   MFT - Stars Above
PTI - Inside & Out: Well Wishes
CP - Scallops & Dots dies
HB - Truly Great Friends die

That's it for me, Folks,
I hope your days are getting warmer and sunnier by the moment!

Hugs,
TK

Birthday Bunny & Balloons

 Hello again!

My card today will go to MFT Color Challenge #184 (LOVE these colors!), and
NBUS #36 for using the new background stamp.  While I haven't had the stamp TOO long, I have kept it for a celebration of fun proportions.

This little cutie comes from a set that I've used before, just not this little guy.  Isn't he just the sweetest?  I used a little artistic creativity and added two more balloons, that way I could use both of the colors that I needed to.  I stamped the background, Copic colored the bunny and balloons, and added another flag sentiment that was heat embossed.  I really like this card, everything worked together on this one.

So sorry MFT but I could NOT get your image to load, copy or save...

Supplies:
   CCC - Birthday Wishing stamp
MFT - Scalloped Stripes stamp, Blueprints 27 die
   LI - Stitched Rectangle die

Thanks again for stopping in and leaving some love.

Hugs,
TK

Mom

 Hello, long time no see!

I haven't been here for a few days, okay, over a week but I'm here today with a card!  Another attempt at foiling with my Glimmer machine.  While the foiling turned out, I have to admit that I'm crazily overwhelmed and it intimidates me to no end!  Why?  I'm not sure.  Once I get the foiling done, I seem to be totally LOST as what to do with it next... strange.

Here's my attempt for today ~

The foil color is fuschia and the c/s is a light plum, but somehow they go together. I foiled the letters, then cut them apart with the matching dies.  The heart of flowers was foiled and then cut as well.
A close-up to show the shine ~

Well this technique is definitely stretching my brain and comfort zone!

This will at Time Out #208 - A Special Birthday challenge (Happy Birthday Time Out), where I was inspired by a celebration and the colors, and NBUS #36, because both hot foil plates are new.

Supplies:
PF - Inna Alphabet foil plates & dies
SB - Love Enclosed foil plate (GOM 2/22O), Fuschia foil
   PB - Simple Stackers die
PTI - My Mother, My Friend (sentiment)

Thank you ALL for stopping in for a visit.  See you soon!

Hugs,
TK
