A Gaggle of Challenges

Good Morning!

I'm not positive that I got that heading right, but it made you look - haha!  So I have two cards to share, that will be heading to a couple/few challenges each.  Disclaimer:  dreary days = poor photos, even with PS Elements!  Here they are:

Card #1 ~

This card will go to Christmas Kickstart #82 - the Midas Touch and Triple B - January 2024.

Card #2 ~

This card will be heading to Double D - Sparkle & Shine and Peace On Earth #56.

...the J-O-Y is actually matte gold, which sparkles and shines, but apparently not in gray weather!  ...the stacked letters on the welcome sign!

SB - Forever Green e/f, Holiday Floral glimmer plate
      MB - Layered Card
      SSS - Christmas Tree Foliage
      WF - Nested Dome dies

    Card #2 -

You're the Coolest!

 Hello and welcome!

I may have slightly come out of my funk, I've actually made a few Christmas cards!  I saw the new challenge over at JUGs #711 - Stencil/Anything Goes, then went in search of a sketch so I wouldn't have to think too hard, and came across Freshly Made Sketches #620, which perfectly fit the bill.

Here's my make ~

I actually had a few ideas of the stenciling portion but once I found my image, all my other choices were done!  I used the snowfall stencil with shimmer paste, and set that aside to dry while I stamped, colored and cut my two little images.  Setting that aside as well, I decided a white panel cut down to show more snow and a circle to represent, well the circle.  Everything came together quickly after that.

And the show shimmer ~

These challenges end soon so I'll be jetting off to get them entered!

Supplies:
   SSS - Falling Snow stencil
PF - Stitched Diagonal Rectangle die
   MFT - Cool Day stamps/dies

Well thank you so much for the visit, and sweet comments -- hope to see you around again soon!

Hugs,
TK

Cards with Ida

Hello there!
Long time no see -- I've made a couple cards, but I'm really lacking in motivation lately.  I'm not sure what the issue is but we've had a LOT of gray weather here lately, so maybe that's some of it.

The cards I have today are in conjunction with a challenge from Ida, please do go visit her blog too!  Ida lives about an hour from me, and she's literally the only cardmaking friend that I've been blessed to meet!  We decided to gather some images, possibly some papers or other items and then pass them to each other.  We both have made two cards using the supplies given to us by the other, and one card using the supplies that we gathered.  Confusing?  I'll show you...

Ida's kit - Card #1 ~

Ida stamped the above hot-air balloon once, not cut out, and supplied several pp, ribbon tapes and stamped sentiments for me to choose from.  As this all came from Ida, so I don't have any idea about the details of any of the parts...
I merely colored the balloon, cut the papers and attached the sentiment (although, I do believe this was one of my sentiments due to needing a Birthday card)!

Ida's kit - Card #2 ~

My second card utilizes the same image, only die cut out, some of her pp and the yellow ribbon tape.  Don't you just love this sentiment?   While the image, the papers, tape etc were all perfect, I don't believe I did Ida's kit justice, which makes me incredibly sad -- but again it is a challenge!

My kit - Card #3 ~
All of the parts of my kit were gifted to me (thanks, Carol), and I knew they'd be perfect for Ida because she loves flamingoes.  The set is Inner Flamingo (OoB - E Hutson), some unknown dp, and another image of the "jungle plants".  I gifted Ida both sets, dies and papers for her continued use after stamping a few images for myself to make a card.  Here it is ~

While I really struggled to begin with, I'm happy with the end result and the challenge was great!  We look forward to doing it all again, maybe changing up the challenge a bit.  Won't you go see what Ida created?

Thank you for the visit, and hopefully I'll be around soon!  By the way, I do hope to rectify that "meet a cardmaking friend" thing sometime this year!

Hugs,
TK

In My Heart and Prayers

 Hello again, Friends ~

A couple more sad notes of late which required some cards to show our support, this time for my side of the family and a family friend.  And since I had this set still on my desk from the last post ~

Many prayers going up for those in need!

PTI - Lace Impressions coverplate (a gift from sweet Lisa E), Beautiful Blessings (inside sentiment)
   Alt. - Sweet Spray stamp
   MFT - Sending Prayers (sentiment)

Give a hug to your loved ones today!

A Little Message

 Hello and welcome.

Today's post isn't of the "fun" variety, and I sure didn't want to include it near the holidays, but again life!  A few of you have caught wind, but we had a loss in Hubbs' family.  No word of when the Service will be, but I made a few cards for family members...

While all the cards are similar, the colors change a bit in tone, as does the foiling.  A few different yellows, and even two types of gold for the arches, as the oranges just didn't look right with the shiny gold.  Here's one of the yellow with the shiny gold ~

...and one of the oranges with the matte gold ~

Our prayers go to the extended family, as they deal with the loss.  We can all relate but it definitely is a hard one to swallow sometimes.  And while these flowers don't carry a lot of weight, I'm hopeful that they'll give some joy in a trying time.

Because this is a new stamp set, I'll be sending this NBUS #58

Supplies:
PFS - Nested Arches foil plates/dies
   Alt. - Sweet Spray stamp/dies

Hold your loves ones as close as you can!

Hugs,
TK
