Sending Warm Blessings

 Hello and Welcome!

This is for all you friends who are braving out the winter snow and cold.  While I love the snow, some of those temps I've heard (-47 for one!), will keep me on my side of the U.S.!  I mean, we get snow, we get down to the teens usually for a week, but this winter we seem to be on the warmer side of all that.
Anywhoooo.....

I started this card, thinking I'd be sending it to JUGs - Stencil week, but I missed that since it took me 3 days to complete it.  My other hope was Christmas Kickstart #106 - Dreaming of a Pink Christmas.  It appears I'll make this one by the skin of my chinny-chin-chin, so I'd better get with it!

An NBUS stencil from T Holtz, a couple of pink inks (photo shows pink inks, not corals) for ink-blending, a lonely green Copic, a gold Signo gel and a "clear" gel pen, whichs looks more silver sparkle -- easy, right?  Nope!  While I love the stencil, it is only one, not a set of coordinating so there's A TON of masking.

I added a strip of coral-ish pink card at the bottom, and also layered the pink foiled sentiment on more of the same cardstock.  Here's a closer look that shows more sparkle from the two pens ~

Now, will I ever use this stencil again?  Probably not, even though it's beautiful.  Maybe it's me being lazy, or used to the newer layered stencils, but 3 days is just too much for me.  Thus the leaves in green Copic, and the centers and snow in pen.  After starting this card, I distinctly remember trying to use it one other time and then figuring out the masking issue...
Since this is an unused stencil until now, it'll also be heading to Darnell's NBUS #82.

Supplies:
   TH/Stampers Anon. - Poinsettia stencil
Splb - Glitter Wishes hfp (also NBUS)

I'm so glad you stopped by and thank you for spending some time with me!

Hugs,

Merry & Bright

Welcome, and thanks for the visit!

Today's post is a short one with a card for a couple of challenges.  I ended up posting my last card (blue & white) Color Hues #125, and then was asked to join another challenge asking for shades of blue, Inspirational #359.  So I came up with this card, probably for my eldest grandson this next Christmas ~

While this has several layers, it's a pretty easy card (HA - struggles listed later).  The blue layer was cut with a cover plate punching out the starts and snowflakes, then layered over a layer of white glitter cs.  A second panel of glitter cs was then cut using an NBUS die for the treeline, layered over that.  Lastly, I cut the NBUS snowman and put him together, thinking I would add him on a wobbler.  That's where the frustration started!  I have these wobblers and yet I struggle to use them, 1) they aren't "flat" under the sticky portion, so the small side always has trouble sticking to whatever I want to wobble; 2) with added glue and using my reverse tweezers, I try to get them to stick more and still no success!  Thus, I removed the wobbler and layered him straight onto the panel -- easier for mailing anyway, with all the layers of glitter cs!  A foiled sentiment was then added.  With two unused products now used, this'll be going to NBUS #182 too!

Supplies:
   HB - Northern Star coverplate
Ps - Whittle Friendly Snowman die (NBUS)
MB - Woodsy Plaid dp, AlpineTree die (NBUS)
   Splb - Merry Messages pp

Have a great weekend!

Let Us Adore Him

 Greetings, Friends!

I'm here today, with a QACAS card, using new-to-me items.

I started with the embossing -- I tried to add inking on the first panel to highlight the pine boughs but that was a No-Go!  So, I embossed another panel and left it plain.  Now what's a gal to do with it?  I spied the new-to-me press plate and pressed right onto the embossed panel.  I first pressed using Delicata Gold twice, and while it was wonderful, it was still a bit light.  I pressed a third time using PTI Fine Linen to get a bit of a darker look, then went back to press with gold.  Much better!  Then, the gold thread was wrapped and tied making a slight addition to the gold pressed sentiment.  While very CAS, I do like that it lets the sentiment stay at the focus.  My only question now, should I add sparkle to the "snow"?  A bit of Nuvo, or chunky glitter?

A close-up ~

Since both products are seeing the light of day for the first time, I will be sending this to Darnell's NBUS #82.

Supplies:
HB - Snowy Pines 3D folder
Splb - Let Us Adore Him pp

Hump Day, Folks!  Hope you have a great rest of your week!

Snugglebuck, Just for You

 Welcome, and Merry Christmas Eve!
I hope you have an amazing Christmas -- I'm sending my sincerest Merry Wishes to all of you.
May your holidays be filled with love, laughter and those close to your heart.

My first card is going to Hubbs!

A new stamp, that I just love!  This card will be visiting NBUS #81.  Stamped, colored and cut, then popped up with its cute sentiment.

This next card was an "ask".  I literally had a request to make all of their Christmas cards from a photograph.  While I clearly don't have the time, it was also hard for me to translate into a card as I know them.  I definitely had a struggle, but we sent it to the requestor and they loved it.  I believe this was close to my 6th attempt!  I guess I'm better at "inspiration" than translation from realistic.  I'll attach the "photo" below.

A masked skyline, a bunch of ink-blending and stamping of "branches" and "grass", then splattering before adding the stamped and die-cut deer.

The inspiration photo ~
While I did my best converting a photo into a card, I have so manyreservations, at least in this instance.  Are my "deer" supplies limited?  Yes.  Is it horrible?  No.  Would I ever sell a card (not that I do anyway) like this?  No!   I'll chalk it up to Best Effort.

Supplies:
Card 1 - Unity Snugglebuck (NBUS); MFT - Elegant Rectangle Stax dies
Card 2 - PTI Deer To Me stamps/dies

That's it for me, and I truly hope you have
The Most Wonderful Christmas!

Hugs,

Holiday Flock Talk

Hello!

Today I have a few cute cards.  While these aren't typical Christmas cards, a gal can have a little fun every now and then.  All three use different images from the same new set, so one of these will go to NBUS #81.

Die Cutting, stamping, and coloring on each of these so I'll skip the obvious.

While this one has the same techniques, I'm not sure my sentiment carries itself well.  While I can assure that it is mounted squarely, I think the lopped ends make it look wonky -- oh boy!

Supplies:
All Cards - Unity Holiday Flock Talk stamps
Card #1 - PB Classy Frames; Carta Bella Winter Wonderland dsp
Card #2 - PB Ripple die; Unity - Scandanavian Holiday and Carta Bella Winter Wonderland dsp
Card #3 - WF Nested Postage Stamp dies; HB Log Cabin dsp

As we usher in the blessed holiday, keep peace in your hearts.

Hugs,
TK

Peaceful Poinsettias

 Welcome, Friends!

I wanted to get one more card made before The Flower Challenge closes forever -- this makes me so sad!  What a great challenge, and they're asking for Christmas Florals, so this one more poinsettia for them.

Another card with this beautiful coverplate, just with slightly different colors -- this one is coral instead of pink.  It was ink-blended very lightly, using only Passion Fruit, Eucalyptus and Sage inks.  On the biggest flower at the bottom, some previously used ink snuck in on the green, which I actually like.  I discovered when looking for Christmas word dies, this peace is the only one (that isn't too large) -- hmmm more shopping, I believe.

The die was cut in Rose Gold, which matches perfectly.  My second card with this coverplate, and I'm loving it!

Supplies:
PFS - Whispers of Poinsettia stencils/die
   MB - Airy Script Peace
I'm finally nearing the end of my cards for this year, but I still have a few tags...

Hugs,

Miracles of the Holiday

 Welcome, welcome!

I'm back again with another couple of cards.  This time, I'm loving the first card but the second one?  The verdict is still out...

I started with the edger die and cut my panel in two, taping it back together on the back with removable tape.  From there, I stamped, masked and colored with my Copics.  I used WoS on the poinsettia centers for a little shimmer.  From there, I die cut the matching word die twice, layering the white glitter over the champagne, then stamped a sub-sentiment.

Question:  Emmanuel?  Immanuel?  I've seen it both ways, but honestly very rarely with an "I".

Close-up to show the shimmer and sparkle - at a weird angle, sorry...

My second card.... we must own even the ones that are not our favorite, right?  I started with a basic set-up like above, but cut two panels one white, one red at the same time, swapping the white top with the red base.  It was then embossed, and I wanted to ink blend an arch above the cut to showcase the stars I would be adding.  It came out pinker that I wanted, so I switched to a deeper red but ended up blending the whole thing on accident!  Waste not, want not, so I went with it adding stars and the sentiment, all cut from gold foil.  The scripture was then stamped and added down below.  I still believe this would've been better had I left that white arch above the sentiment, using the white scripture panel below.  Thoughts?  I may take this one back apart or redo it completely.

Since the Miracles Builder/dies are new from Penny Black, I'll be sending one of these to Penny Black Friends Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes and NBUS #81

Supplies:
PB - Miracles Edger die/stamps (NBUS)

Card #1 - PB Poinsettia (flower of month)
Card #2 - PB Noted e/f; MB Star of Wonder

I'm honored you visited, and so thankful for your visit today!

Hugs,
TK

Oops! and POE #100!

Welcome!
Or should you be welcoming me back?  Lol, I know, life's still a bit of chaos for me but I'm back with a couple cards...  Unfortunately, the first card was made for FMS #714, which I totally missed (oops) so I'll post it now ~

And I was SO excited to enter this one!  Oh well, I still like it.  The "square" is a partial cut from an NBUS product suite (more details below), stenciled and cut.  The sentiment was foiled from a new-to-me glimmer product from sweet Michele, then cut into a tag and popped up.

And a touch of shine from the foiling and center of the poinsettia, that I used Nuvo drops on.  Also, zoom WAY in and you'll see the finest thread of gold string, tied in a neat bow!  Here's the sketch, had I actually made it - lol.  And since a new product used, this'll head to NBUS #81, as well as JUGS #803 - Stencil week.

Onto my second card, which will join Peace on Earth #100 (Happy Birthday, Ladies!)  I was inspired by their kraft, red and white since I don't own a single gingerbread man!

And here is a showcase of the full product suite from above... You first stencil (5 layers), then die cut with an all-in-one die to use as a cover.  My centers were again given Nuvo drops, and the berries are red stickles.  I gave this suite to Michele as a gift, then loved her card SO much here, I had to buy another!  Michele's card is fantastic, please do go see it -- such beautiful colors!
The NBUS Peace die sentiment was cut twice, stacked and added with a little foam.

Card #1
PFS - Whispers of Poinsettia cp die & stencil; Splb - Yana's Christmas Sentiments gp (NBUS)

Card #2
PFS - Whispers of Poinsettia cp die & stencil (NBUS)
MB - Peace Airy Script die d(NBUS)

Well, that's it for me today!  I hope your week is off to a great start.

Let It Be Christmas

 Hello!

I'm here for a very quick post, let's see if I can pull it off!  My first card will be going to FMS #712 ~

An embossed piece from a friend, a watercolored image and the sentiment placed off to the side.
Oh yah - the nose glossed and hat shimmered!

And for card #2 ~
Another snippet of snow embossing, a small panel of a new paper pack, image colored with Copics and selectively cut with an arch die, then on the next size up panel.

Two more cards for the stash!  And since this set is NBUS, it'll go there to play.

Supplies:
Both - PB Arctic Friends (NBUS)
Card #1 - PB Christmas Warmth (also NBUS); PTI Delightful Brackets (NBUS too)
Card #2 - PB Scandinavian Holiday dp (NBUS); WF Nested Dome dies (selectively cut down)

Thanks for the visit!

Hugs,

Stained Glass Greetings

 Good morning!

Today I come with... you guessed it!  Two Christmas cards from an old stamp set, still unused, until today!  I took the stained glass words and arranged them in two different ways, colored them in with Copics and added a bit of shine with a gelly pen.

Card #1 ~
Image cut with a die and placed over a pinpoint coverplate - ez pz!

Card #2 ~
Cut into a close rectangle, just with a trimmer, corner lopped with a partial circle die, then mounted on a slightly larger panel of "leather-skin" gold paper, trimmed similarly.  Another ez pz!

Supplies:
Card #1 and #2  - SSS Stained Glass Greetings
Card #1 MFT - Elegant Rectangle Stax; MB Pinpoint Leaf cp
   Card #2 unknown circle punch

Thank you for the visit, your friendship means so much!
I am blessed, and I am thankful!

Hugs,
TK

Holly Jolly Wishes

Hello and welcome!

I have another couple of cards today, hoping to send to a few challenges.  It all started with an NBUS set, used up a few "bits" lying around and voila!  Oh yah, then times two 😉

Card #1 ~
Stamped, colored, glossified bulbs and placed over an unused inked background on my desk, just adding small splatters for snow.  I've had back luck with splatters so they are small, go ahead and zoom in if you need to check.  I had the sentiment already stamped, and in its envelope so that was easy!

This one will be heading to NBUS #80 for the new stamp set, and JUGS #801 - Winter.

Card #2 ~
Once again, stamped and colored with Copics, a little masking for the trees, then cut it down and brought out the greens, then added a tag with the sentiment.  I took pictures, then decided that I wanted to glossify the bulbs, so I then had to get new pics...

This sentiment cracks me up!  Not your typical Holly, Jolly so I added that to the inside.
This card will be going to FMS #712 - I hope Verena allows me to make it a vertical layout...

Supplies:
Card #1 and #2 Unity - Wingin' It This Holiday, Simple Holiday (both NBUS)
Card #1 PB - Stencil Basics, Simple Holiday (sentiment)
Card #2 Unity - Simple Holiday (trees); MFT - Blueprints 27

Well, that's it for me today, but I am playing the Catch Up to Christmas game, so you will be seeing more.  Thanks for the visit!

Hugs,
TK
