Creepy Peekie Tags

 Hello!

Okay, it's not a card but I had fun with these.  To be honest, I'm not a fan of Halloween, but I found these to be too cute to pass up!  But since we don't celebrate it...?  Well, my eldest daughter is a school teacher, whose children do, and they'll be put into her basket of "way to go's" so the kids can choose if they want a bookmark or tag!

Cute, right?  These were Copic-colored, cut down with an OLD two layered die set and everything put together.   I did glue the top portion (down to a score line) to a second layer of dsp, which matches this set well.  While you can't see it, the kids will be able to open it and look at the fun paper behind, plus allows it to sandwich the page in.  Because all but the tags are getting their first outing, I'll be sending this to NBUS Challenge #91.

Supplies:
UN - Creepy Peekies stamps, Heebie Jeebie dsp, Scallops & Banners dies for the sentiments (all NBUS)
   MFT - Fold  Up Tags

That's it for me today, I hope you enjoyed the tags!  I'll be back to my usual craft room soon and hope to be playing catch up with my Christmas cards!
Thanks SO much for the visit and generously kind words you guys all leave, which are very uplifting!

Hugs,
TK

Dragonfly Wishes

Today's card started with gifts from a friend!

I received these beautiful dragonflies tucked into a Birthday card sent to me over a month ago, and I unfortunately hadn't used them until today.  An embossed panel, a pretty die cut piece of vellum, with a matching small die cut panel in silver glitter, all as a pretty base.  I think took my 3 large dragonflies and ink blended with a few colors and glued everything together with a pre-foiled sentiment ephemera.

Then, a spark hit to go in a different direction, but I had already used my dragonflies - gasp!  Not to worry, as soon as I received these beauties, I found the die and it fell into my basket.  Then came this card ~

Ahhh, I like the glittery frame even better, but I realized that these dragonflies were smaller and the wing details different -- urgh!  A different embossed base, a pretty glitter frame, a heat embossed sentiment and ta-da!  Here's a photo of the two different dragonflies ~

However, with this picture I realized that the second card looked a little bare so I decided to go white-on-white with some pretty blooms.  Once finished, this one went to my daughter for her 40th Birthday party!  Here's a fresh look ~

Better?  I think so!  This one will also go to NBUS #91.

Special Delivery of Holiday Cheer

I'm flying in today, like a drop of water in a sizzlin' hot pan!  Nope, temperatures are wonderful here, it's just that I don't want to miss this challenge -- and I believe it's my first time EvEr (thanks, Jaydee)!

It started with another new, NBUS set that fit my need to get serious about my Christmas card collection.  This set comes with three sweet images, but I didn't want to miss the sketch over at The Paper Players #805.  I loved the sketch and wanted to have a little fun, plus I attempted to use the colors from Color Hues #142 - Burnt Red & Amber!

I knew the paper I would use right away, so that helped.  Now to find Copics... nope... I had to do a ton of color blending to get this close, so I hope it works!  While my camera turned my colors more wine red and golden, I did my best and I'm happy with it.  I also only partially colored the image this time, staying within my color limits (teehee)
😉

Here is an unedited shot, showing how much the camera was trying to change my colors!  Needless to say, I love the card.  These are not my typical Christmas color choices, but it worked for this cutie!  There's actually 3 cute images in this set, so I'll be posting the other two soon but the clock is ticking at PP805!

Supplies:
UN - Mouse On A Merry Mission, Holiday Encore dsp (both NBUS)
   WF - Nesting Postage dies
   HA - Infinity Ovals

Thank you for the visit, you brighten my day!

Now Faith Is Confidence In What We Hope For...

 Isn't today a glorious day?
Well I'm hoping that it is for all of you!

Today's card is an encouragement, in hope and prayers for all good things to come from a current situation.  I'm hoping you agree.

An NBUS embossing folder, a fancy die cut from dsp and again with the smaller die from vellum, then the verse was embossed in liquid platinum.

This card was QACAS but I think the sentiment hits home.

Supplies:
PTI - Hebrews 11 stamp (NBUS)
MB - Fuchsia Cascade 3D ef (NBUS)
MS - Let Your Soul Bloom dsp (LOVE this pack!)

May your faith be confident and assured by what you cannot see!

Hugs,
TK

Mice & Cozy

 Welcome, Friends!

Today I have three cards for you -- surprise!  A new stamp (or two, or more) arrived and I wanted to use them right away.  We were camping with friends over the weekend and I had the opportunity to color some images I had stamped in advance, and all the ladies joined in!  Today, I was able make these cards ~

I used the sketch from a previous Unity challenge, modifying it slightly.  While this dsp is actually a muted sage-y gray, my camera mistook it for a golden/green color - oy!  However, he'll be joining NBUS #90

This little guy is happily gathering his good things!  Don't you just love these images and the dsp?  This one will join Darnell's IDEAS Calendar - Anything Goes!

And this cutie is swingin' by to join in at Inkspirational Challenge #377, Fall cupcake in the upper left and the 2nd over to the right of it.

Supplies:
UN - Mice & Cozy stamps, Scallops & Banners dies and Sept. Whit Kit 2024 dsp (all NBUS)
   HA - Infinity Circles

Thanks for stopping by, I love it when you do!  And have a fabulous week.

Hugs,
TK

Sending You Sunshine

 Hello!

While I have a few card inspos swirling about in my brain, we are also hosting a weekend campout, and the work starts today!  Hmmm, I'm not sure how many things I'll get done but you can bet your boots I'm going to attempt to make some of them while my brain is inspired!

Today's card came as kismet.  I was inspired by CAS Christmas - Watercolor/Sunflower, however, that proved to be too much.  I tried (sorry, Loll)!  But my coloring ran and seeped, even though I thought it was dry.  It wasn't apparent right away, so I was quite dismayed when I came back to finish it into a card!  That said, I reverted to the original intent of the product and came up with this, prior to seeing the inspiration at another challenge ~

I ink blended onto the die, then the florals were then popped onto a die background and finished with a few Nuvo drops.

The base is kraft, the background die is a remnant of that lucious paper received from Stampin!withJaydee -- it's gorgeous IRL!  And my drops?  Well, I'm not great at them, Stickles yes, but clearly Nuvo drop challenged here.  The sentiment was added on kraft with the espresso brown ink from the dark blending.

Well, that's it for me today, and this'll be heading to JUGs #841 - Stencil Week and
NBUS #90.

Supplies:
WF - Sunflower Cluster die & stencil (NBUS)
SSS - Sparkler Scallop Frame (NBUS)
PTI - Simply Said (a gift from Darnell)

Have a great day!

Hugs,
TK

Thinking of You Today

 Hello!

Today's card was mailed and received; it is an encouragement for healing.  The products used today are both "newbies", so this'll be entered at NBUS #90.

This card was made with the somewhat recent color challenge of orange and yellow.  However, I got a bit carried away and colored the leaves too -- oops!  Well, shucks, I'm not about to toss the card so I placed it over a beautiful coverplate that I was enabled to buy via the very person who received the card!  I added the sentiment, stamping it in orange to match the small flowers and away it went.

Supplies:
SSS - Daisy Frame and die (NBUS)
Ps - Diamond Oval Pinpoint background cp (NBUS)

Thank you for the visit and sweet words -- you guys always lift me up!

Hugs,
TK

Home Is Where...

 Welcome, Friends!

Today's card marks a "new chapter" for one of our daughter's.  They recently purchased a home of their own and moved in.  While moving can be overwhelming, I'm pretty sure they're loving their new home, also their first home to own.  Lots of firsts still to come, landscaping, decorating, making it just right for them.

While I used the previous colors at Color Hues, and a close layout to Freshly Made Sketches, this will actually not be entered anywhere.  I fell in love with Marcia's colors last week but I just couldn't make the card in time.  As for FMS, you were supposed to only decorate the bottom half, however I just didn't want to cut that much away from the house, I preferred the scene as I saw it.

Stamped, colored with Copics, masked and then ink blending, I added a sweet little sentiment with the congratulations inside.  That's it for me

Supplies:
JD - Home Sweet Home stamp
PTI - Reflections:  Hebrew 11 die (NBUS, you'll be seeing the stamp soon)
WF - Nesting Postage die (freebie, believe it or not)
Alt - Masonry Wall 3D ef

Welp, I guess I sent this to NBUS #90, since this is the die's first outing and it's die week over at IDEAS Calendar.

Have an outstanding weekend!
Hugs,
TK

Back To School

 Welcome, welcome!

Okay, I was a bit late with this card but at least I got it made and it'll be delivered today!  It's a card for my eldest daughter, the teacher -- and, boy, was it fun!

It's a flip card!  Now don't laugh, but it's my first one, and I loved making it!  Now, I did fashion it after a short video on YouTube from Unity, Jessie Scott.
I might be out on a limb, but does this work for FMS #753?  My vertical line might be a stretch but I'm going to try.  If it isn't accepted, I'm okay with that.

Can I just say how much I love that the designer made a front and a back?
First, both images (NBUS) were stamped and colored with Copics (IDEAS Calendar) and cut down with Nesting Square dies (NBUS), thank goodness for that 30% Craft Warehouse coupon!  Yep, it was one item per day for 5 days, and you can bet your bottom dollar I used one a day to get all the shapes they had.  Good choice and timing.  The base was cut and scored, NBUS coordinating papers applied.

On the inside -- I thought this sentiment would work well for a Teacher.  It was applied to another square, then the side was cut to make it look like a tear out notebook sheet.  So fun!  Now I just have to get the coffee giftcard to accompany it, for those not so good days...

ETA:  IDEAs Calendar wouldn't allow me to link, saying it had ended...

Supplies:
UN - Off We Grow stamps, Apple Seeds & ABCs dsp (both NBUS)
HA - Infinity Nesting dies (NBUS)
   MFT - Notebook edge die

Off to do yardwork for at least a couple of hours -- end of season tasks starting, but also sprucing up for our Annual Campout in two weeks.  I'll have a busy few weeks now - car show cruise this weekend, campout in two weeks, Celebration of Life the following week, then eldest daughter's 40th Birthday the following Saturday, and the next day we're off to Colorado to visit Hubbs' mom for a week!

Hope you have a great day!

Hugs,
TK

A Whimsabella Glimmerglade Win!

 Hello, Friends!
I hope your day is going swimmingly -- literally if your heat has not cooled yet.  We are starting the downward slide, if you call upper 80's "cooler" - ha!

Today's card was made with my recent win, a big thanks for the lucky draw, Darnell, and Stamping Bella for the sponsorship!

My choice of cuties was this gal called Glimmerglade ~

She's a little cutie, isn't she?!  She looks like summer, so she was my pick for today's Birthday gal.  I spotted this pp and decided I would pick the colors and run with all the party feelings it was giving me.  Stamped, colored and cut down with other papers, she's my fun for the day!
P.S.  Yes, I had to buy more while I was shopping so you'll see those soon... 😉
Sorry for the really bad photo, which goes horribly blurry to the bottom left!  I wanted to show that I used Wink of Stella on her wings and the flower centers.  This'll go to a daughter this weekend when we celebrate together.

Supplies:
   StBe - Whimsabella Glimmerglade (NBUS)
   PB - Elegant Stitched frame
   LF - Perfectly Plaid pp
Splb - A Little Message bpp

That's it for me this fine day!  I hope you usher in a great weekend filled with much fun, great food and lotsa love.

Hugs,
TK

Thanks, Friends of Unity!

Hello!

Today's post is all about the goodies I received recently from Unity Show 'n Tell Color challenge from July.  I've made 3 cards, so this will be photo heavy, plus they'll be going to different challenges - here they are!

Copic-colored, fussy cut and mounted on an ink-blended panel.  This also fits into their current sketch.

This one was already mailed to the sender of my winnings.  It will go to ~

Card #2 ~

Colored, cut and layered, placed over some new pp, then the sentiment added with a handmade layered label.  These next two will go in my stash!

This one will be sent to ~

And finally, Card #3...

Stamped and colored, then cut out with a die I've been itching to use.  The base card was embossed with the largest die of a set, then the red panel was cut with a smaller die of the same set.  Oh, winking of the snow, hat bands and pom-poms, plus adding the twine too!

Notice those colors?  Also heading to ~

Supplies:
Card #1 - UN Layers of Life: Tiny Moments (NBUS); Splb Gorgeous You sentiment
Card #2 - UN Cuddlebug Puppy (NBUS), and Cozy Cafe (NBUS) pp; Splb Grand Large Labels
Card #3 - UN Stay Cozy (NBUS), and Grunge Cuts dies (NBUS); MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangles

If you made it all the way through the photos, congratulations and THANKS!  Your friendship, inspiration and motivation are not unnoticed!

Hugs,
TK
