It's A Silly One!

Good morning!
Today I had a bit of fun in my craft room and evidently felt a little silly in the process.  I started with a color theme, then went with a new stamp set, a new die, and went a little crazy.  I hope it makes you as happy as it makes me -- everyone needs a lightened heart every now and then.

OK while the truest colors were hard to capture even using Adobe PS, I got it as close as I could!  The gray is a bit darker, as is the orange, actually with almost a touch of brown to it.  These little guys make me smile!  I wasn't sure I could pull off this color challenge but I tried!

Well did I make you smile today?  Did I succeed at the challenges?  Either way, I had a smile on my face and happiness in my heart!
I hope you have a happy heart and SMILE really big today!

Supplies:
MFT - Buzzing With Happiness stamps, Peek-a-Boo Honeycomb die

A Little Message

 Good morning, Friends!
I hope all is well in your part of our world, welcome and thank you for the visit.

Today's card comes with a few techniques, but mostly die cuts.  I die cut in a few colors, figured out my layering,  and picked up the arrangement with Press n Seal -- wan easy way (at least for me) to keep things all together and not have to remember where I wanted everything!  I popped a few places up with mini foam dots, and the rest is glued flat.  Here she is ~

Before placing my arrangement, I quickly inked an organic area with light blue ink, using a striped stencil.  Zoom in, it's light although easier to see IRL.

I popped up a rose gold hot foiled sentiment that was partially cut with a die and snipped off at the edge of the card.  This card will be going over to The Flower Challenge #80 - Pastels and NBUS #50 for my new bloom die set and the new glimmer sentiments.  Oh!  I'm going to send this over to Pixie's Snippets Playground too, for all the snippets I used for the flowers and the sentiment label!

Supplies:
Spl - Be Bold Blooms, Sealed Glimmer Sentiments (both NBUS)
MFT - All Lined Up stencil
   Alt - Nesting Slim dies

The house is quiet tonight, as Hubbs has left, a sudden death in his family.
Hug your loved ones and cherish every moment!

Hugs,
TK

Happy Birthday, Butterflies!

 Welcome again!
I'm not sure that title works, but hey, I like it!
This design was referred to as a "split front" card design.  Maybe I live under a rock but maybe you haven't heard of it either, so here it goes ~

A pierced panel attached to the card front, then cut on the diagonal.  After cutting the diagonal, I foiled the butterflies in silver, colored and die cut them plus an extra plain white duplicate of each butterfly.  I played with the spacing, then attached the butterflies to the top and bottom portions.  The extra white duplicate of each butterfly is then placed on the inside, to add stability and cover any bleed through from the coloring.  The front panel was then re-cut down to a 5 1/2" front.  A sentiment foiled, doubled in thickness and placed on the front.

Here's a weird angle, that shows a bit more of the foiling ~

My inspiration came from Bibi Cameron for the design - big thanks to you!

This will be visiting Triple B and NBUS #50.

Supplies:
PFS - Small Butterflies plate; Scripty Words plate/dies (NBUS)
   MB - Pinpoint Leaf cp
MFT - Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes

Best wishes for a great day, Everyone!

Birthday Magnolias

 Hello, Friends!
Today I welcome you with open arms, and a "new to me" technique.  I've heard that this is possible, but I decided that it was time to try.  I've had this die sitting on my desk since its last use.  I had wanted to try to make a second card, with a different look and I think I've succeeded ~

I used the inside die to hot foil the outline onto some gray c/s, without cutting.  I then used the outer die to cut it out, and got busy coloring.  Hindsight, since I used colored c/s, I wish that I had used something other than Copics because it wasn't as easily blended, but still a success.  A close-up of the outline foiling ~

This will be for my mom at the end of the month.  I fear that she won't see them as finely foiled lines, but outlines, which is totally fine.  And the color?  Well a little artistic license!  Haven't YOU ever seen blue magnolias?  Well now you have 😁  ...you'll see why in a bit.
I really wanted to place this on a really pretty matting, but just couldn't find the right one.  I tried embossing it, but again I just couldn't find the right one.  So here she is placed upon an arched dome die and again the next darker gray c/s.  The sentiment foiled and my unusual but pretty side angled tag.  This will be sent to the Flower Challenge #80 Pretty Pastels (I hope this counts as pastels) and MFT Color#210.  Unfortunately I don't have any MFT products but I love their colors!

Supplies:
Spl - Magnolia Blooms, We Dance glimmer sentiments
   WF - Nested Dome dies

That's my second card made this weekend!  I hope you've enjoyed your stop and I thank you for visiting from the bottom of my little pea-pickin' heart!  Have a great week!

Hugs,
TK

Mom

 Welcome!
It's a partially clear day outside, the birds are chirping and Spring is unleashing its colors -- a great day to post a card from Mom.  I don't know about you, but my mom is a flower enthusiast, perpetual green thumb and lover of all things garden.  In time things have changed, but her enthusiasm remains!  While this card is for Hubbs' mom, she too is thankful and appreciative of all that the Lord blesses us with.  With that, this card was born ~

A new pack of flower dies, a VERY old tag die and a whole lot of snippets allowed me to pull this cared together rather easily.  The flowers and the woodgrain were all snippets of past projects, kept for another day, another project and today's the day!

I was inspired by:  CTD741Snippets #453 and Four Seasons: Spring.

Supplies:
   Spl:  Be Bold Blooms
PTI:  My Mother, My Friend + die

I hope your world has sprung to life in living color!

Hugs,
TK

A New Beginning

Welcome!
A quick post for a card recently made for a co-worker moving locations.  I made this a week ago, but with a lot of things going on here, I'm just getting to post it.

Sorry the pictures aren't better, that's my fault for being in a hurry -- I even got a shadow here in the first one!  Actually this card was not "quickly" made -- it literally took three tries!  That's a long story...  Stamped, colored with my Copics, cut with a new die and matted on a larger matching die base before placing it all on the card base.

A close-up of the cute gnome who's definitely the star!
I'll be sending this over to NBUS #50 for the new die ~

Supplies:
St Bella - Gnome on a Swing
E by E - Be the Change (sentiment)
MFT - Elegant Rectangle Stax (NBUS)

Thank you for the visit, and I hope to catch up and do some visiting of my own this weekend.

Hugs,
TK
