You're My Cup of Tea

 Hello again!

Today I have a card I made for a couple of challenges ~ Time Out #206 - Friend Quote and MFT Color Challenge #182 - summer blue, coral, limelight green and gray!  Here's the inspiration first ~

And here's my contribution (I think it'll be easy to spot the "friend" inspiration) ~

Doesn't she just make you smile?  I love this set, and knew I needed it so...  Here's my maiden voyage with it, as well as the scalloped die, so I'll send this over to NBUS #34 challenge too!  Such a sweet image, I hope you like it too!   Hindsight, I'm going to add a bit of shine to the heart on the tea pot before popping this in the mail  😁

Supplies:
MFT - Spill the Tea (NBUS)
CP - Scallops & Dots die (NBUS)

Thank you for coming to visit and share in my habit joy!
Stay safe please, while the new variant is supposedly less potent, I heard today of two co-workers who are being severely affected by it!

Hugs,
TK

Silver & White - Christmas, of course!

 Hello!

I'm flying in by the seat of my pants to post a card before I run out of time!  Please bear with me as I get straight to it... I've made this card for Color Hues #33 - silver & white ~

Such a GREAT combo for a Christmas card, so this is my entry ~

Sorry for the REALLY poor lighting, that's what I get for late night, indoor lighting, and no light box (I promise that's white cardstock, that I couldn't make white)!  Anyway, there's a lot of shine going on here (IRL).  A dry embossed background, a silver die cut frame, silver heat embossing on a vellum strip, and the layered poinsettia die, which I ink blended silver ink onto, and winked the ends.  The shine under the embossed background, is silver glitter tape that I laid around the edge just to bring another pop of sparkle to the show.  And a close up ~

Supplies:
SB - Forever Green e/f (NBUS)
   MB - Christmas Botanicals (sentiment)
   PS - Holiday Poinsettia die
   LI - Stitched Rectangle die

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to visit!  Hope everyone has recovered from the holiday hustle and now just precious memories linger.  Stay safe and be happy!

Hugs,
TK

Ruff Day?

Hello!

I'm popping in with a card for a challenge, well two precisely, both are for MFT - one Slimline:  Raining Cats & Dogs, one for Wednesday Sketch #576... here it is~

I used a circle to to cut my windows, only partially cutting the center window.  After positioning my cute pups on the base c/s, I stamped, Copic colored, then glossied their noses.  Anything cuter than a glossy-nosed dog?  The window layer was added, then the die cut clouds (which I added some gray to) and sentiment popped up on foam.  Okay so I changed up my circles a bit, but it is "inspiration", right?!  Hope it works😊

I had originally wanted to use a square windowed die that wasn't slimline, so I made another card while I was at it ~

This time I took out the three windows but left the large bottom window intact.  I secured all the remaining pieces with tape on the back, using it for the sentiment.  I marked the windows on the base, stamped and masked the dogs, then did some ink blending before Copic coloring.

Supplies:
   Card #1 -
MFT - You Make My Tail Wag stamps
      Sizzix - Lg. Circles dies
      PTI - Clouds dies
   Card #2 -
MFT - Blueprints 27 dies, Lucky Dog stamps
      CCC - Birthday Wishing

Thank you for the visit, we'll see you soon!
Hugs,
TK

Thank YOU, Friend!

 Hello, Friends!

I'm popping in today with a card that's been received, so it's safe to post.  This was actually the first card I made with this set; however, it had to travel a lot further so had to wait in line!  Another ink blended background using the same silhouette stamp as before, just different layout and colors.  I received this stamp set from a sweet friend and this is her Thank you!

It's pretty self-explanatory, so I'll skip the ramble and spare you the obvious details.  This card is QACAS, and that's pretty amazing for me (the QA part anyway)!  I received this stamp along with a Christmas card and quickly put it to use -- it's actually my first UNIKO stamp set!  While oranges and yellows are never my first choice of colors, I'm not really sure why because this card just makes me think of sweet morning sunrises.

Well, that's it for me, Folks!  Hope all is good in your neighborhood.  Stay safe, and I hope you've all enjoyed a relaxing (albeit productive) weekend.

Because I Care

 Hello again!

A card for a sweet friend, it should have arrived by now ~

Sorry for the poor picture, it was late plus bad weather outside, so I used a "natural" lightbulb - so much for that!

The background was ink blended in several colors, more random than ombre, stamped with the NBUS silhouette stamp and spritzed in shimmer spray (inked & spritzed ala Just Us Girls #614 challenge)- wish you could see the shimmer. I then heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and placed a few pearly gems, which actually reflect the background, for those that are on the background.

My heart and prayers are with you, Friend!

Supplies:
UNIKO - Just Because (a gift from another sweet friend!)

Stay safe, from the weather & the latest variant!

Hugs,
TK

Winter Birthday Bear

 Surprise!

I'm back today with a card made for a winter Birthday.  It's a mini slim size and worked perfectly for my pretty QACAS card.

An ink-blended background, a snowy slope spritzed with shimmer spray, then I stamped and colored by bear and his mailbox, a bit a happy mail I suspect!  It might be kind of hard to see but I hand-penned a few twinkly stars with a clear sparkle pen.  See what I mean, pretty quick and easy.

I hope everyone is fairing well.  We've had record snows especially in the mountains (286" already, where an average is 184"), record cold temps (a broken 110-year record here locally), and now chinook winds that came through with such warmth that now there's flooding around the state. Our family faired well, no accidents but closed schools and even my work (considered "essential") saw shortened days to keep the public safe.
Be Safe, Everyone!    And Happy New Year (sorry so late)!

Take care everyone -- squeeze your loved ones extra today.
