Hap-BEE Birthday!

 Hello!

Today's post is for my Mom's 86th Birthday, and her 94 year old brother who will be celebrating Birthdays today!  Mom's Birthday is today, her brother's was May 18th, and since he's from California, we'll honor them both today.

Mom's card ~

The image(s) were stamped, Copic colored and cut down with different dies.  They were layered over coordinating designer papers, then popped up one layer.  The sentiment was stamped, cut and added.

The wings were sparkled with WoS, and the hearts had GA added.

A close-up ~

... and together.

Supplies:
Hip Hop Honeybee (NBUS, but not sure I'll have time to add this into the challenge) - Unity
Nesting Postage die - WF; Elegant Rectangle Stax - MFT
   Buzzing w/Happiness & BP27 - MFT
   Designer papers - Scbk.com & HoneyBee

On a serious note:  Our eldest daughter and SIL were in an accident Sunday, daughter was ambulanced while SIL was Life Flighted to local hospital.  Daughter has since been released with wound care, SIL was then Life Flighted to Seattle 3 1/2 hours away.  Our initial trip to him was double the time due to the holiday weekend.  SIL's had 2 surgeries, possibly more to come and a long road to recovery.  Best news today was no broken back, he was finally able to sit and stand just for seconds; yet he still has breaks and internal bleeding.  We will likely be traveling back and forth for a bit, while also taking care of their house and dogs here.  A lot of things are happening moment to moment so I will not be visiting blogs much, nor posting but I wanted you to know that I will be back.

Hugs to you, and hug the ones you love!

So Proud of You

 Hello, Fine Feathered Friends!
Oh, that's the card (teehee).  While my last post was kind of a downer, I decided that this one HAS to be better!  What better time to give kudos to one of my daughters...

My eldest (I have 3 girls) was recently awarded an honor from her school district.  She receive the Northpoint Award, for excellence/care/compassion/emotional support in teaching "her littles".  The best part?  She was nominated and chosen by her peers!  It makes a momma's heart proud, yet melt.  We need more teachers, and people, like this!

Here's her card ~

I had ordered this stamp prior to Teacher Appreciation week, but I did not receive it until afterwards.  I was heartbroken until this week when I knew exactly what it was meant for.  Another great thing about this stamp?  Owls are her school's mascot!

A closer look that shows the foiled sentiment a bit better.

Since this stamp is new, I will enter this card at NBUS #86, and I'm hoping it works for the sketch over  at FMS #737, even if the proportions are different.

Supplies:
   Unity - Teachers Like You
   PFS - Fancy Rectangle Frame
   SU - Textured Frames
Splb - You Are Everything sentiment pp & die

Thank you for the visit and the support you give me every post!

Hugs,
TK

Sympathy x 2

Welcome!

Not the best reason for a post, but I at least have two cards to share.  Both use the same stamp set but use other elements and designs, so here they are ~

Stamped, heat embossed with Iridescent Gold onto blue cardstock.  Cut with an NBUS frame die, the center was popped up with foam tape.  A heat embossed additional butterfly on vellum, added for movement.  A foiled sentiment finished this one off.

Next ~

Same stamp set, embossed with the same powder.  Gold foil tape added to the left and right, exposing a bit of the white base on the right.  An off-set sentiment, foiled and cut with a die, then mounted off-set to the left.  I again tried using an additional butterfly, but it just didn't fit.

The first card will be shared at NBUS #86.

Supplies:
Card #1 = SSS - Artsy Butterflies stamp & dies;  SU - Textured Notes frame die (NBUS); Splb - Curved Everyday Sentiments & dies
Card #2 = PB - Heartfelt Thanks (sentiment on second card); MFT - Blueprints #27

Thank you for the visit and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
TK
