Across The Miles

 Winter Greetings!
Oh!  Not yet?  It must be these Christmas cards I've been making - lol.

I started with an idea of using a snowman, an unused stamp, colored it with Copics, added some new patterned paper and ta-da!  Ok, maybe not quite that easy.  The image, pp and base card were all die cut with a dome die, then adhered together.  I love the look of the card, but decided to add glossy accents to the heart, plus stabilize the top "hinge" a bit more by adding pp to the inside.

This card will go to Peace On Earth #116, because I took the antiqued colors from the top two photos, and CAS Christmas challenge!

After putting all my stuff away and photographing my card, I decided that I wanted a second card using mostly the same products.  So here's the second card ~

This card uses the same image, a different die, other new pp and a different sentiment.  The heart was glossied on this card too.  This card will visit NBUS #88 - Mutual Appreciation and IDEAs Calendar for Anything Goes this week!

Ugh!  I missed NBUS, as I ready it ended tomorrow!!!

Supplies:
Card #1 - UN Across The Miles stamp and Holiday Encore pp (both NBUS); WF Nested Dome dies and MFT Blueprints 27
Card #2 - UN Across The Miles; MFT Elegant Stax dies, TE In & Out Christmas sentiment and CB Welcome Winter pp

Hump Day!  We're over the hump and the day is nearing done, I hope your week goes well.

Hugs,
TK

CAS Sparkle & Shine

 Good Morning!

Today I bring a card made for a couple of Christmas challenges, and I hope it'll work for CAS Christmas - Sparkle & Shine and Peace On Earth #23 (the snowflakes).  My card is extremely CAS (in my eyes), and my shine is more of a shimmer, but here 'tis ~

An embossing folder, quickly matted, then some very specific inking (with a full-sized pad) on the debossed snowflakes.  I did do a bit of masking, just to make sure I didn't goober up something I wasn't supposed to.  While my inking is a bit uneven, the shimmer is actually quite pretty.  What shimmer, you ask?

Sorry for the weird angle (and my thumb), but it was the only way I could capture the shimmer!  Well, this will be off to ~

Supplies:
    CB - Season's Greetings
   Brilliance Gold Ink

Hopefully your week is going fantastically!

'Tis the Season

 Hello!

Glad to see you, and that I actually was able to make a couple of cards this weekend - yay!  This first one will be going to CAS Christmas Card challenge June - Wreaths (and a great big welcome to Lisa, isn't she such a doll?!).

I pulled out a favorite wreath, stamped and embossed it onto watercolor card, then painted with DIs and a bit of Perfect Pearls (well the PPs ended up a bit more than expected).  A sentiment was heat embossed in white on matching c/s - quick and easy for my brain, that stretches for anything in the craft room these days.

...and a bit of shimmer... (there really is more red and less pearls IRL)

Supplies:
   MB - Christmas Botanicals

I hope you had a fabulous and productive weekend.  I will be around as I can, work is still going strong so I'll be visiting as I can.  Have a great week.

Hugs,
TK

Tis the Season - FMS#510

 Welcome!

Another card from the "coloring" session while camping last month -- I figure if I spread these babies out, you might not get too bored  😉

I used the wonderful sketch over at FMS #510 -- so perfect for a simple image, CAS Christmas theme - Critters, and NBUS #32.

I used a new cover plate die (NBUS) and cut it a little larger than half, cut down the colored image and popped it up over some irridescent vellum, pretty easy peasy!  The vellum is odd because IRL it's more silvery but maybe that's the indoor light, which makes the left portion look almost golden.

Well, zipping this off to get it in the challenges.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead, we're scheduled for rain.  We need it, I just don't wish for the wind that's supposed to accompany it.

Supplies:
   MFT - Christmas sElfies
SSS - Detail Ringlet cover plate
   MB - Christmas Botanicals (sentiment)

TK

A Quickie for CAS Christmas & NBUS

Hello!

A quick pop-in to add a card to CAS Christmas - Gray & Red; I too love this color combo and just couldn't let it pass!  Oh!  and it's a newbie-to-me stamp set, so I guess it'll go to NBUS #31 too!  While we had a busy weekend and not much time in the craft room, I was able to do a bit of coloring, and the rest came together quickly.  My entry ~

After coloring, I used the silver Signo pen to highlight Mr Bear's hat rim and pom-pom, plus the ribbon on the present.  I also opted to not leave the white inside the frame totally plain, so I added Wink of Stella to the outside.  Both of those were hard to capture in the photo above, so I've added a couple of close-ups hoping you can see them.  The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in silver pearl on the light gray cs.

Tip your screen just right, and you might see the shimmer!  Odd angles but the gray weather today was not helping me.

Supplies:
  MFT - Christmas sELFies (NBUS)

Thanks, Friends, for the wonderful visit!  Hope you all have a glorious week.
Hugs,
