A Step Out

 Hello and welcome!

Today I'm playing cards with Ida!  She chose a challenge photo, which I LOVE, and my eyes rested almost immediately on a couple of details.  Here's the photo ~

What details did you pick up on?
I'll bet you'll figure out mine right away!

1)  Turquoise, 2) Animal print, 3) Pink flowers on the end stand and 4) Layers!
Layers you ask?  I'm not sure why, but the layers from the couch and ottoman struck me -- even the fireplace appears to have layers with the two types of fascia.
I also tried to incorporate some type of palm frond but it just wasn't working with my flowers...

That's it for me, Friends, but do go see what Ida came up with!
Thanks again for the visit, and I hope you have an amazing week.  I know it'll go by fast for me, I'll almost be flying!

Supplies:
Alt - Sweet Spray & die
   SB - Yana's Special Sentiments

Happy Birthday Poppies

Good evening, Fine Friends!

I'm popping in with a quick post while we're out partying - lol!  Today's the day to celebrate Daughter #2, so we're all gathered out for dinner and festivities.  This was another card made during a recent Craft Along with Pinkfresh Studios, ala Lea Lawson.  I made a few changes of my own, but here it is ~

I changed out my frame and lowered my sentiment.  While Lea's was gorgeous of course, I preferred one frame and it being a bit thicker.  The large rubber stamp was stamped and embossed in gold, ink blended with the stencils (though I went back and freehand blended a bit more to soften the centers).  The frame and foiled sentiment were then popped up.

Gorgeous shine, huh?!  The frame is also cut from Ivory glitter cardstock, which adds to the overall glitz.

Supplies:
PFS - Poppy Mix stamp and stencils, Ornate Rectangle frames and Ephemera foiled packet 6, Peach Fuzz gemstones.

I'll be sending this to Triple B - February (but opted out of the mood board), NBUS #59 and then JUGS #715 - Stencils popped in!

I hope you have GREAT evening, and an amazing crafty weekend -- I know I will!

Hugs,
TK

A Total CASE

 Good morning!
Or at least to those who are visiting in the morning but well wishes for a fine day, no matter when you're visiting.

I took a half a day off and enjoyed myself immensely!  I enjoyed an Unboxing Event for the upcoming PFS Craft & Create next weekend, and then a PFS Craft Along by Heather and Lea.  Yay!

Today's card is a direct CASE of Heather Hoffman's, so I give her all the credit!  We ink blended through stencils, without using the matching stamp, added a few layers, wrapped a little thread and then added the sentiment.  Here's my card ~

Oh!  And what you can't see, is the rest of the inked panel that the banner was cut from... it's actually on the inside, framing the area for your own handwritten message.  Definitely not my usual style, but I LOVE the colors, layers and that banner!  It's good to step out of your routine, right?  The sentiment is pre-foiled and a few added gems.  Why a total CASE?  Well, my internet was going in and out, so I found myself way behind... no time for originality!

Hmmm, these jewels are actually iridscent but appear silver in this photo -- I guess I'll have to leave it to your imagination.  But since all of these products are NBUS and new-to-me, I'll be sending this over to NBUS #59.

Supplies:
PFS - Poppy Mix stencils, Slim Ornate Banner, Foiled Sentiments 6 ephemera pack, twine

Thank you for the visit, I appreciate you more than you'll know!  Have a blessed day.

Hugs,
TK

My one and only for my One and Only

 Hello!
Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone!

Man, it's been a hot minute since I've posted but...
Today I bring my one and only 2024 Valentine's card for my One and Only - Hubbs!  I'll bet you knew that though, right?   I was inspired by Double D Challenge - Heartfelt, particularly the upper right and lower left.

Here's my entry ~

Do you see my inspiration?  The red and heart from upper right, and the blue (though darker) and stripes from lower left!  Stripes?  Yes - don't those vertical pink stripes remind you of my horizontal heart cuts?  I think so...  I also fashioned the colors after the Triple B challenge (thus the darker blue), but since I don't have a bird, butterfly or bloom, we'll just enjoy the colors, ok?  Here's a peek at their inspiration photo, in case you want to join!

This card came together quick and easy.  I embossed the white base cs, cut a red and a dark blue banner, cut out the heart on the blue layer and popped it up with foam, then layered up my sentiment, swapping out the middle of the "o" with a red heart.  E-Z peasy but I love the masculine appeal on this one.

Supplies:
   Darice - Argyle e/f
   MFT - Elegant Rectangle Stax
   C&9th - Layers of Love
   PTI - Love

That's it for me, Folks, but I do wish each and every one of you have a marvelous day, celebrating someone (I'm even hoping "someones") you love!

Hugs,
TK
