Camo'd Birthday with Florals

Howdy everyone!  Is your weather getting better?  I hope so!  I know parts are flooding and we are susceptible to that here too but so far so good!  We actually broke snow records for February (since 1916) and March and we're only halfway through!  I do believe we're through the snow period and heading into Spring now.  Anywho -- let's get onto the card since I know small talk wasn't your goal for stopping by!

I made this card for a neighbor using some NBUS products although the Turnabouts are new to me!  I wanted to use the colors from last week's challenged since I was just enamored by them, so it made it pretty easy to put together.  Also the camoflaged die cut sentiment was a new technique for me to try and I think I had to learn a couple new "tips" along the way.  Here she be...

While you can't really tell by the photo (I actually forgot in my haste and had to ask her to send me a pic), but the color challenge was similar to Teal, Wisteria, Green and Cream.  I stamped on cream cs, and thought I could get a good cream to show darker, but alas I ended up using gold, thus the gold cs backdrop, which peeks through the negatives of the lettering.  Since I missed that Challenge, I will be send it to two different challenges:  SS Monday - Feminine; and  Time Out #131 Hugs, Kisses & Birthday wishes.

Supplies -
SSS Happy Birthday die
C&9th Lovely Blossoms turnabout
MFT Anything but Basic Bday Wishes stamp set

Thanks for swinging by on your busy day!  Stay safe and Craft on!!

Hugs,

Feel Better Soon!

Rushing in for a quick post, and to enter a couple of challenges.  A co-worker fell on the icy ground here, so I wanted to make a card wishing her well.  I'll be entering this card at TO #130 Unique (I'll explain this in a bit) and also over at Simon Says Monday:  Girly.  Here's my entry...

I used the new to me Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout, using two muted colors.  You see, I think these new Turnabouts are quite "unique".  If you haven't tried any, they're actually pretty fun!  I also enjoyed the muted girly colors, girly ribbon, all for this girly card!  While my stamping is imperfect, I love the artsy feel and its uniqueness too!  Hope you like it!

Hope to see you around soon, and thanks for being such big supporters to me!

Hugs,
TK

Sympathy

These are never one of our favorite cards to make, but life brings us challenges around every turn, and this is just another!  I was asked to make a card for a co-worker who lost her dad last week, here's what I came up with...

The blossom branch was stamped offset on white cs, and the sentiment stamped and heat embossed on vellum, wrapped around and held tight, then centered on deep purple cs, and layered over some foam and then mounted on the craft cs.  I love this blossom branch, and I wanted something simple yet elegant.  Here's a close-up of the shine from the silver ep on vellum...

Unfortunately I do not always get a good white when I do the close-ups, so please bear with me (tips always appreciated)  And since these color fit in CTD #533, I'll be entering their challenge today.

Supplies -
Stamps:  Blossom - Beautiful Friend, Clearly Besotted; Sentiments - PT Mini Blossoms and Thanks
Die:  Stitched Rectangle - Li'l Inkers

Here's hoping all of you are avoiding the flu and colds, thank you to all my wonderful blog friends have left good wishes for me, and thanks so much for stopping by!

 Hugs,
TK

Happy Anniversary To You!

A quick post, as I need to head to bed, trying to recover from I believe the WORST cold I've ever had!  I put this together tonight for Dtr #3 and SIL's Anniversary tomorrow, and I wanted to get it posted as well before I run out of energy...  So here 'tis!

And a close-up of the sparkly sprinkles...

An Agapanthus stamp (I believe it's NBUS so yay for me!), a little colored/swirled vellum that came in a pack from Walmart, a strip of blue and some "sprinkles" from sweet Michele (thanks again)!  This came together pretty well and I was even able to decorate the inside and the envelope to match!

All the best to for years to come!

Thanks for popping in and hugs to everyone who did!
