May Your Happiness Multiply

 Hello, Friends!

As the high temperatures have subsided here, we're still near or barely in the 100's, so I stay inside as much as possible.  The saddest part?  The lack of motorcycle rides we take, unless it's early on the weekends and back by noon -- I miss them...  I hope you all are doing well, and staying cool.

Anyhow, I'm here wishing a friend Happy Birthday, and hoping that she's received the card.

This is a slimline card, which has a 3-part stencil and matching stamp.  I do love the layered stencil, and I've found easier than some to use.  The colors I used are two tones of pink, a light green and chocolate brown!  I liked that the brown added a neat tone, yet darkened the lighter green to make variation.  I did use a different, more appropriate stamp for the sentiment.

Supplies:
PF - Incredibly Grateful stencils & stamp
   PTI - Birthday Stylish Sentiments

Prayers

 Hello, All!

I've come with a couple of cards -- those cards we all hate to make but need to send.  These took much longer than they should have, but sometimes when it's so personal, it's harder.  I knew I wanted to use "the great outdoors" as the recipients are in Colorado, where the outdoors is a way of life to most.  While I made two cards, I wanted them similar yet stand on their own and I think I accomplished that.

Card #1 -

I had wanted to participate in Loll's CAS Mix Up challenge, which was to use AIs (in whatever form) onto vellum, but missed the deadline due to other life deadlines...  but I accomplished the cards and that was the primary goal anyway.  I did use the colors from Color Hues #22 - Lime & Aqua, so one of these will be heading over there.

Card #2

Both cards were made by smooshing AIs onto vellum, in multiple layers, drying in between, so I used more lime in one card and more aqua in the other card.  After cutting the front panel, I added a second white panel behind the AI/vellum, so that the colors would be more vibrant.  Here they are together ~

If you noticed in the first photo, these particular AI's are "pearl", so a photo to show the shimmer ~

I then ink blended a panel and cut the word die, layering it 3 times and coloring around the outside edges with a Copic, added it to the panel and stamped "sending".

Supplies:
MFT - Prayers die, Deepest Sympathy stamps (inside)
SSS - Birch Tree College die, Evergreen Circle die

Thank you for stopping by, and please hug your loved ones today!

Happy Birthday - colors Outside the Box!

Hello!  I will make this short and snappy since I have to zip this off to a MFT Color Challenge #169 and MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #550.  As you'll see, I deviated a bit with the sketch so I hope it still works...

I originally was going to put the light blue vellum in waves at the bottom along with the leaves; however the dotty background just seemed like a good fit, and then a little overwhelming with the waves, so I opted out.  Like I said, I hope it's ok!

I love those color - cream, coral, teal and light turqoise...

I also love those dots AND those eucalyptus leaves!  Well that's it for me, Folks.  Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time with me.

Supplies:
IO - Dotted Argyle bg stamp
   MFT - BluePrints 27 die
   Alt - Birthday Greetings
   SSS - Eucalyptus Leaves die

Happy Sundae Birthday

Hello again, good to see you, and thanks for stopping by!

I have a card that is already in the mail and HOPEFULLY in the hands of its recipient.  So without further adieu ~

Pretty straight forward, right?! An embossed panel cut down to size, a Copic colored cutie popped up, and sentiment stamped -- check!  Look a bit closer and you'll see his adorable pink cheeks!  Sometimes it's those CAS cards that are just the cutest, and this one has my heart...  I used a recent sketch from FMS but I had to wait for the mailing time period, and I'm okay with that.  PLUS I got to use a new cover plate (yes, Michele, I have this cutie too) and a new stamp, so this'll be heading over to the NBUS #28.

Supplies:
   CCC - Sundae Funday stamp
Stmplrtns - Wonky Stitched Grid cp

Thanks for dropping in, and I'll see you soon!

Hugs,

Let the Good Times Roll

Good to see you, and welcome to my blog!

I have a masculine card to share today.  This will be going to our neighbor who rides motorcycles, and on occasion with us.  I used the colors at Color Hues #21 - Red & Blue, and while you might think of July 4th, my brain went here ~

I actually was coloring another image with DOX inks, and wanted to use up the excess so I made the splish-splashy bg first.  After it was dried, I stamped the sentiment and image in VersaFine, and set to coloring this image.  The blue and red were not as dark as I had hoped, so a couple of quick cotes made it stand out a bit more.  I do wish I had added a bit of yellow to the headlight though.

Supplies:
   E by E - Good Times

We've had a bit of company last week, then a motorcycle ride and some sheetrocking this weekend, and we'll be getting more company in town sometime this week, so I might be a bit random but I'll be in and out to catch your wonderful creations.  Take care!

Sending Sunflowers

 Hello again!

I have a card today that is just squeaking in for a challenge so I wanted to get it posted pronto!  This card will go to Pixie's Snippets #407, MFT Sketch #549 and CTD #650 so let's get to it, shall we?

I not only used quite a few snippets on this one (yellow cs for flowers, yellow pp for a little extra, a gray cs strip for the sentiment, and the black cs for flower centers) but I actually cut down the trellis background, and used it as a base,  I've had this lying on my desk for awhile, dreading the "weeding" since it didn't stick to the dryer sheets as hoped.  The sentiment was embossed in silver, but I managed to get the first few letters with a shadow somehow.  A close-up shows it better ~

Supplies:
AJVD - Slimline Stitched Plaid bg die
   MFT - Upsy Daisy die
   TCP - Flying By (sentiment)
SSS - Sending & Wishing (inside sentiment)

That's it for me, Folks!  Hope you had a terrific weekend, and those with heatwaves are bearing it!

Take care & hugs,
TK

Relax - pt. 2

 Hello, All!

Call me silly, but I decided to CASE my own card!  Well let me just say that after I finish and post a card, I then come up with some ideas...  So this'll be the Part 2 to this card, only this one will be saved for a Birthday.  Here it is ~

While the towel, the flip flops and even the sentiment are the same elements, I decided to add the embossed paper to give beach waves and a slightly different feel; the towel is tipped and the flower centers are crystal Stickles.  I love that sparkle!

Supplies:
   CB - D'vine Swirls e/f
   PTI - Flipping Out dies
HB - Truly Great Friends frame die
   LI - Stitched Rectangle
   LF - Perfectly Plaid pp

Hope everyone has made it safely through the holiday weekend, without sunburns.  Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
TK

A Very Merry Christmas

 Hello!

I've been busy trying to set up follow.it, so I guess this'll be my actual maiden voyage post to see if I got it correct - lol.  Thanks for bearing with me while I make the switch!

This card uses inspiration from MFT Sketch #548 and Color ThrowDown #649, so a very non-traditional Christmas card to add to my stash ~

While totally out of the realm of traditional Christmas colors, I'm happy with this card, it also doesn't hurt that it has these adorable little Christmas elves.  I LOVE this color combo!  I didn't have Christmas paper in the chosen colors but I think these papers work pretty well.  And I have to say, almost every item used on this card is from MFT!  And the inside ~

Supplies:
MFT - Santa's Elves stamps/dies, Toasty Greetings stamps, and pp - Dots & Stripes & Perforated Plaid
   LI - Stitched Rectangle die
   SB - Classic Square die
   Copics

Thanks for sharing a part of your day and your sweet comments.  And for those in the US, please have fun, stay safe and enjoy your freedoms.

Hugs,
TK
