MFT Christmas Tags

I recently purchase the MFT Fold Up Tag die and wanted to use it for my holiday tags.  I was only able to make a few, but I will post to let you see.  Once again, my infamous "screenshot" cut off the person who gave me the inspiration...  And I promise this is my last Christmas post!

And a little close-up that hopefully shows some shine.  I used a glitter paper for all the ornaments, which were die cut AFTER applying double-sided sticky paper...  SUCH a big help on an intricate die!

These were used for the gifts I took to work, so similar yet in different papers and colors.

Thanks for your visit, you've made my day!

Hugs,

Merry Christmas Menagerie...

Well I've been so late in getting my cards together, that once again the ones that had to go a distance will undoubtedly be late -- so sorry...  Christmas is such a time for joy, wonder, blessings, food and family -- I hope that each of you got to enjoy your Christmas with all the blessings indeed!

While I made a few cards, each with a variation of the original, I will post them all together.  I also wish that I could give credit for the idea but my "screenshot" of the original square card cuts off who the recipient of that gratitude should go to!  Bummer!  Must come up with a different plan to save the pics I see....  Some of the cards will have inlaid die cuts while others will have the die popped up, but all are backdropped by a sploosh of inks in various colors.  I must apologize for the pictures because in my haste, I did not notice that the stamped sentiments look horrible!  Truly, they are better IRL.  So here we go...

Churches, stars, poinsettias, bulbs and snowflakes... oh my!

I hope your holidays were truly blessed and that your day was full of love, peace and joy!  Thank you, Friends, from the bottom of my heart!

Perfectly Paisley Birthday

Just popping in for a quick post to celebrate a Birthday for my sweet Hubbs!  It's his day, a day to enjoy the family, rest a bit from the world of "retirement" and enjoy life.  Love him so much...  So let's get onto the card so you can get back to your day!

This card came together pretty quickly, I knew that I wanted to pop up the upper portion of the sentiment and use some metallic, so I just had to fight the perfect dp to match my idea.

Here's a close-up of the "height" and some of that precious shine  :o)

I hope to be seeing each of your wonderful creations very soon.  Thanks for taking your time out to pop in and see me!

Hugs,
TK

Time to Heal

Howdy, Friends!

Popping in yet again to post another card, made in my absenteeism here on the blog.  I see that it fits in with MFT Sketch #412 and Color Throwdown #520, so I'll send it over that way, and play along since it's been so long since I've really posted much, let alone play!

This card was sent a bit ago to someone who broke his ankle, so I felt he needed a bit of cheer.  I also packed with a few things to help him stay occupied during his recovery.  I hope it helped!  Onto the card...

As you can see, I tipped my version but alas the sketch is still there.  Unfortunately though I have a MFT "window" Blueprint type die, I didn't use it  this time but I will enter anyway...  And don't the colors match up great with CTD?  Love when that happens (not very often in my world)!  I hope you pop over and see all the great cards in both places!

And again, thanks for taking your time to spend a few minutes with me...

ETA:  Bummer!  I missed CTD....

Case This Sketch #298

Howdy, howdy!  I've been quite absent this year, largely due to multiple reasons, but I am trying to rectify that today!  I've made a few cards, and since this one fits along with the sketch, I'll send this one to play along...

This is in the hands of the "anniversarites", so need to worry here...  As you can I used a little interpretation, main with flipping the sketch from right to left.  This card has some shimmery metallic ribbon and embossing powder, I really like how it turned out.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I really hope to see more of your cards!  Thanks for stopping by...

Masculine Birthday Candles and Pup

HOW long has it been?  Well I believe WAY too long since I've been around posting or visiting, life is busy, Spring is under way and my yard and garden need attention, plus we've had a few wonderful visitors from Colorado in a couple of rounds!  We can all relate to busy-ness....but let's get onto the card since I know that's what you popped in for.

Son-in-law #1 (numbered by joining the family) had a Birthday yesterday, and I made this little diddy in a flash since I didn't wanna go empty-handed to a party that I hosted!  We had a joint Birthday party this past weekend to celebrate a couple Birthdays but his first!  It's pretty self-explanatory...

Well onto card #2...  This one's for my Grandson who turns 6 today!!!  Unbelievable!  Such a character and I really wanted a card that matched his personality.  Here it is...

Thanks for your support, I really appreciate your stopping by and supporting me even though I'm not always the most "regular" at posting.  Hope to catch up with all of you soon!

Hugs,
TK

Peeps Offering

Well, here it is, my "peeps offering" to you!  LOL  Actually I take a small bucket of candy to work during holidays to offer others as they come through my office.  This time, I made a cute little tag to help invite others to dive in and enjoy.  This is an NBUS stamp set, and although I don't eat peeps, I have a daughter who has always loved them -- every color, every animal, no matter what -- thus I had to have it!

And a close-up, because those peeps are just too cute...

While I love this tag, it doesn't represent the real reason I love Easter, but I wanna take this opportunity to wish each of you, my friends and readers, a very blessed Easter!  Hope your day is awesome and filled with joy.

Hugs,

Ready for Take Off?

This card was a last minute, last ditch effort to make a card for my boss who's moving on to bigger and better challenges.  A manly card, certainly not my easiest, was something that I just couldn't wrap my head around.... then sometime during the night, this cute image from The Cat's Pajamas came to mind and how I could get it to work!  Shocking, really!  Love when that happens, but honestly not often enough, then it was approved by Hubbs.  Let's get on with it...

I stamped it out, embossed with clear over the black ink, colored with my Zigs, and cut it out with Wonky Stitched Rectangles.  I must admit that I preferred my coloring BEFORE it dried, looks a little "artsy" to me now and even shall I say... blotchy?  Oh well, I'm learning, right?  And to top off the card, here's the inside (printed on my home printer with my own words - yikes)!

I'm going to enter this in over at FMS #329, with a little liberal interpretation!  Can you see the circle (plane)?  The stripe (smoke trail)?

Rats!  I missed it!!! Oh well...

Thanks you, Friends, for stopping by and sharing a moment with me!

Hugs,
TK

Twofer #3!!!

I wanted to jump in really fast to get this posted, as I've wanted to get into this fun challenge but life has gotten in the way WAY too much!  Quick and sweet!.... (I hope)...

I used the same die but in different way (it's actually inside the second card -- oops forgot to photograph), and also the coordinating stamp on the card on the right.  And a closer peek of each, the first to show that brilliant sparkle (maybe), and the second to show the dimension...

I'm loving this challenge, Darnell, even if I didn't stray too far!  Your amazing ability to see something out of something quite different is a skill  I must definitely work on!  So glad I got to participate in this one, and I'll be zipping around to see everyone else's creations as soon as possible!

Hugs to you all, and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday, Sis/Neighbor

I'm dropping in for a quick post.... (what's new, huh?), my middle daughter and new son-in-law are in town for a SHORT trip from Denver, so this post needs to be as well.

This card is for my neighbor, whom feels like a sister I never had and some people think we really are!  I made it ahead of her Birthday, well partly, then put it together and delivered it a day late!  Pretty bad considering she only lives across the street  :o\   Anyway, the stamp is NBUS, as is the die cut frame and pieces and sentiments few stamp sets (I'm still trying, Darnell!)!  Here she is ~

This stamp set comes with its own sentiments (and hilarious too) but I just couldn't figure out how to make them work for a Birthday, so alas I had improvise -- that's what we do, right?!

Supplies:  SSS card, ep, Ziggs, AI Laughing Set, PB Heartfelt Thanks, Altenew Birthday Greetings, MFT Blueprints 27 (frame)

Thanks for stopping by,  I'm looking forward to reciprocating soon!

Hugs,

Plum Purple Birthday!

I really was looking for a simple floral die cut to use the negative from, I had seen a card on Pinterest that I fell in love with because of its simplicity.  Do you think I could find a simple floral die?  Not a chance!  So I opted to use a more intricate and delicate die to place on the gorgeous purple cardstock, then pop it up over the white base.  Here she is...

Though I really like the outcome because of that beautiful die, swirly sentiment, plum gorgeous cardstock, and cutesy fun ribbon -- I really NEED to make the card that still sits in my brain!

Thanks for stopping by, I know I've been a bit of feast or famine but believe me, I'll take any moment I can get!  Here's to you, Friends!

Rejoicing - New Baby

The birth of a new little adorable bundle of joy, through extended family, gave us all renewed hope and a reason to rejoice!  She beautiful, got a full head of dark hair, looks so serenely peaceful and can make your heart go pitter-patter!  And to her parents, in rejoicing with them, I post this card ~

I read one that "babies are a wonderful reason for the world to go on" and I have to agree!  Such preciousness all wrapped up in a new little receiving blanket!  Congrats to Mom & Dad, she's very beautiful!

Valentine

Amazing as it may seem, I was actually able to get Hubbs' Valentine's Day card made in time!  I  want to post it now, because I would love for it to hit the blog BEFORE Memorial Day - LOL!  In the previous post, this card, last card, and the next few will actually use quite a bit of NBUS.  It's sad to say, but at least I'm getting to them now...  Kudos to Darnell for encouraging us all to us them!

I did some heat embossing, the stars in white and the sentiment in silver, although it's hard to see.  The weather is typically gray here in the winter, although we have had a few sunny days, and that seems to make everything look different.  So here 'tis...

A wee bit of a close-up...

The inside sentiment says something to the affect of "seeing stars", though don't really remember now....

Well, here's to hoping I see all you lovely people soon as I pop into your little world!

Hugs,
TK

Happy Birthday Floral

Hello, Friends!  (or at least I hope I still have a few hanging around, holding out hope for me)  I haven't been around, this is even my FIRST post for this year -- pathetic!  I miss seeing everyone and I miss my crafting time but I'm still praying that this too will get better!  I have made a couple things but haven't really had time for posting, so will hope to do so in the next week.  Soooo.....

This one's for Anita -- and I know I TOTALLY blew it and missed her Birthday, but her card was in the mail and hopefully she's gotten it by now.  Bestest wishes from Washington, and here's hoping that you had a beautiful day, and your card is in hand.  You're a beautiful person, so sweet and uplifting and always supportive!  Thank you!!

I did a little embossing to hold in my Ziggs where they belong, then did some coloring, corner punching and popping it up on dimensional tape.  Though I think I still need A LOT of practice, this is possibly my best Zig creation yet.  I had fun mixing colors, which I haven't been brave enough to do before.

Well, onto my next project hopefully and I can come visiting soon!  Blessings to you all, and I hope we meet again soon!

Hugs,
TK
