Winter Cardinals x 2

Hello!
I'm back again with a couple cards and they're even Christmas cards!!!  I'm really hoping I can get caught up (now that my overtime at work has been banned for a bit), not that I mind since I actually like my life!

Today's cards, or at least one of them, will be heading to Peace On Earth #48 and NBUS #54 so let's get right to it ~

These little cardinals were new to my stash and had to come out and play, so I actually made two cards.  What you can't see (may-haps in the close-up below) is that I used a clear glitter pen for the white portions of the candy canes and on the snow.  I was inspired by the bottom right of the inspiration photo (ink blending appearance of the sky) and the snowy scenes for this card.

There are three sweet birds in this set, and I couldn't let the third be left out so...

Again, glitter gel pen was used on the tips of the boughs and top of the branch ~

Aren't these guys just the cutest?  I've never asked that question before, right?!

That's it for me today!  Thank you for the visit and have a spectacular remainder of the week.

Birthday Magnolia Blossom

Good day, Friends!

Today's card will be used quickly, as it appears that I have a need MANY cards for the end of September and the entire month of October.  If I didn't actually enjoy making cards, I might boycott the month - lol.  I'm just kidding, as two of the cards are for family members and the rest are for co-workers!  If this is your birth month, congratulations because you're in good company.
Let's get onto the card, shall we?

I used a new die and did some ink blending.  After choosing the layout, kindly provided by Freshly Made Sketches #604, I did a little stamping on the card front.  In foiling my sentiment, I had a bit of struggle so ended up foiling a strip and placing it.  The "smudge" just above the T in Birthday, is actually the top of a dot so that was a bit of unfortunate placement.

This card will go to #FMS604 and NBUS for the die.

Suppplies:
   MB - Magnolia Blossom
   EH (oob) - Bokeh Dots
   SB - More Glimmer Sentiments

We had a great weekend of camping, and now it's back to the work week for me.  I hope you have an amazing week!

Hugs,
TK

Flowers and a Foiled Hexagon

 Good morning!
Today I have a quick post before I head to last minute prepping for our end-of-year campout.

Today's card will feature two new-to-me products, the hot foil hexagons and another set of flower dies, because I just couldn't put them away without use to await another year, plus a few snippets used.  Oh!  And I used the colors from over at the MFT challenge.

How about that shine?  Wow, I love the polished brass foil that I used, it just pulled an extra warmth into the card.  The hexagon and sentiment were hot foiled all at once, yep I beat the odds of something ending up wonky!  But doesn't that hexagon just make the perfect wreath-like base?

While these flowers are new, they are similar in some ways to this card.
Another photo with the snippets used ~

Supplies:
EH - Essential Hexagon foil plates (NBUS)
SB - Mini Blooms & Springs (NBUS)
   PF - Fancy Script Words

Thank you for the visit, have a GREAT weekend and I'll see you around!

Hugs,
TK

Autumn Sunflowers

 Hello, Dear Friends!
I know I haven't made many cards but I'm back today to help with that situation.  It seems that I have MANY cards to catch up on plus I'm really behind on my Christmas cards!  Yikes!

Today's card is for a use of my favorite sunflower stamp, but I decided that I really needed to order the dies -- it's quite fussy and sometimes you just don't have time!  I did get that order in already -- teehee.

So other than the fussy-cutting, this was really fun to put together and will be given away soon.  The flowers were Copic colored, and placed over the dp, and a foiled sentiment popped up.  This foil (Aura) is a gold-ish color but it really shines a little bit of everything when you get it in the right light!

Supplies:
HB - Sweet Sunflowers, Autumn Afternoon dp
SB - Essential Glimmer Sentiments, Aura foil

Thank you for the visit, and may you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Hugs,
TK

HBD2U - feminine style

Hello and welcome!
I'm here again -- back to creating, yay...

Today's card has been given to our daughter, so we're safe to post now.  I took my inspiration/technique from Group of Seven Cardmakers and came up with this using the Ink Blending/Water Lifting technique ~

Yep, I blended 2 oxides and a DI!  I really don't know if you should do that since they do have different qualities but it worked out for me.  I did notice the difference when I did the "lifting", as the DOX inks were definitely easier to lift than the DI.  However I think it worked out well and simply added in WoS in the lifted portions before cutting it down.  Here's the shimmer ~

Or kinda - lol! I used a Princess Pink base and a Raspberry Fizz strip for the sentiment.  I also added a leftover strip of the design at the bottom of the inside of the card and an even thinner strip to the envelope flap (that would NOT work if it were to be mailed), as seen in small portions of both photos.

Thanks, Gals, for teaching me a new trick!  I will say, I almost had to pull out my MFT All Over Roses stamp like Bonnie -- soon maybe...
😊

Supplies:
   PFS - Bouganvillea Print Stamp
   ALT - Nesting Slim dies
EH - Birthday Vibes stamps/Sentiment strip dies

Hope you have a GREAT week!

Blooms - From All of Us

Good day, Dear Friends!

I hope today is sunny and beautiful in your part of the world -- the weather is wonderful right now in SE Washington.  Today's card spotlights a few sunny blooms, something we will all be missing soon.

This card utilizes the colors from a recent challenge that I missed, but it also features other things that enable me to enter it into Triple B - September and  for The Flower Challenge #84 - Use A Die.  While I didn't use the challenge photo for Triple B, I definitely used the dies!
The background was cut with a piercing place, then the die cut flowers were all layered up.  While the center of the bouquet was glued flat, a few of the leaves and blooms with popped up with a small circle of foam tape.  The sentiment was heat embossed, then popped up below.

Man I love all the details in these dies!  So much texture details!  I used a cream cardstock today and felt it added an extra softness to the card.  Soon I'll have to be placing an order for more cream c/s.

Supplies:
MB - Pinpoint Leaf cover plate
SB - Be Bold flower dies
   PTI - Label L (a gift from Lisa E)
PFS - Simply Hello (the small sentiment on front, which is also NBUS)

Well that's it for me, except a big HOORAY for actually getting time for another card!!!
Thank you for the visit today, you're amazing!

Hugs,
TK

We'll Miss You!

Hello!

A quick post so I can make the deadline over at JUGS #695 - Apricot & Aqua, plus I'll be entering this over at NBUS #54 due to a couple new products.  This will go to a co-worker moving on to new adventures ~

What?  They don't look like the colors?  Well that would be the haste for a photo so I could get this posted and a lack of PS Element skills -- allow some grace please...  I promise they really are aqua and apricot, but it may also be due to the indoor lighting available after dark.

ETA:  It was suggested that I add this to The Flower Challenge #84 - Use a Die, so here it goes!

Supplies:
MB - Magnolia Blooming Branch (NBUS)
   SB - Hemstitch Ovals
ALT - Wicker Texture 3D (NBUS)
EH - Positive Vibes Sentiment Strips

Thank you for the visit, I appreciate you all more than you'll ever know!

Hugs,
TK
