A Quickie for CAS Christmas & NBUS

Hello!

A quick pop-in to add a card to CAS Christmas - Gray & Red; I too love this color combo and just couldn't let it pass!  Oh!  and it's a newbie-to-me stamp set, so I guess it'll go to NBUS #31 too!  While we had a busy weekend and not much time in the craft room, I was able to do a bit of coloring, and the rest came together quickly.  My entry ~

After coloring, I used the silver Signo pen to highlight Mr Bear's hat rim and pom-pom, plus the ribbon on the present.  I also opted to not leave the white inside the frame totally plain, so I added Wink of Stella to the outside.  Both of those were hard to capture in the photo above, so I've added a couple of close-ups hoping you can see them.  The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in silver pearl on the light gray cs.

Tip your screen just right, and you might see the shimmer!  Odd angles but the gray weather today was not helping me.

Supplies:
  MFT - Christmas sELFies (NBUS)

Thanks, Friends, for the wonderful visit!  Hope you all have a glorious week.
Hugs,
TK

Special Holiday

 Hello again!

Today I come bearing a card with no special place to go YET!  You'll see...  I started with a couple of challenges in mind but wasn't sure if it'd fit either well, so here it is with no challenges included ~

I liked the kraft and red at CH challenge but the kraft here is pretty minimal, so it gets to star in its own show.  First, I inked up a "distressed" e/f and pressed my paper in between, which left me seeing a  woodgrain-like background.   Then I stamped the wreath and "adornments" and die cut them, making multiples.  I die cut 3 layers of the window and sandwiched a very soft yellow vellum in between, though it is yard to see, cutting the woodgrain from behind so you don't see it through the window..  I laid out the adornments, then used PnS to pick them all up, glued the backs, then placed them back in their chosen spot ala Jennifer McGuire.  Here's a close-up ~

I then heat-embossed my sentiment, mounted it with foam tape and - ta da!  Hindsight... I'm going to add glossy accents to the little berries  😄

Supplies:
   CB - Distressed Stripes e/f
PS - Grand Madison Window die
   HA - Color Wreath/dies
   MFT - Toasty Greetings (sentiment)

Another card down!  Hey, at this point I'll almost take anything 😉   Thank you for joining me and leaving such uplifting comments.

Hugs,
TK

Season's Poinsettias

Hello, Friends, I'm so glad you stopped by!

My card today is for a trio of challenges, and I must make haste in getting it posted!  This will go to FMS#507 for the sketch, TCH#28 for the colors, and TFC#61 (Happy 5th Birthday) using a shape ~

Sketch?  Check.  Kraft and red?  Check.  Flower?  Check!
I used a poinsettia die, cutting twice with silver and red, then swapped the leaves.  The red was a thinner cs, so it doesn't really show the embossing by the dies.  On the second cut, I trimmed off the inner part of the poinsettia, and that's the smaller flower you see in the bottom left -- NOW you can see that glorious embossing!  I popped up a heat embossed sentiment using WOW rouge to match the cs.  Here's a close up ~

Supplies:
   SSS - Holiday Poinsettia die
PTI - Let It Snow (sentiment)

Well that's it for me!  I hope you have a wonderful week -- see you all soon!

Hugs,
TK

Sending Hedgehugs

 Hello again!

I wanted to post another card that I colored recently while camping.  This card was actually a request by Daughter #1 -- the inspiration came from a "friend" who really goes out of his way to honor his grandmother and requested that others join in and send her cards to brighten her day.  She's advanced in years but really enjoys the love offered by her adoring grandson.  This was the card ~

I actually forgot to take a picture of the card, so this one was provided by my daughter before she posted it - hope you enjoy all the Fall feels!  The card was stamped, Copic-colored then grounded with the sentiment.  I did some "artistic" trimming so I could add in some pink washi tape to the base cs.

So have I inspired you to post a card to someone who doesn't expect it?  I sure hope so, this is what we do, right?!

Have a great week, and I'll see you soon!

Hugs,
TK

Two Card - Quick Post

Hello!  A quick post to zip a couple cards off to a couple challenges.

Card #1 ~

This one was Inspired By the "pumpkin rocks" theme at IB #190, but I also wanted to make a cute scene.  I colored it in Copics, free-handing the ground and grass.  (P.S. My little buddies were colored last weekend while camping)  However, it'll be my next card that is entered into the challenge because I'm running out of time for multiple posts!

Card #2 ~

This one was actually Inspired By the sketch this time.  I hope you can see it, because I chose to keep those "ovals" a little discreet.  This card will be entered in IB #190 and TO #198 - Breast Cancer Awareness.

Well, Folks, that's it for me today!  I hope you enjoyed yourself, come back and visit again -- I do appreciate YOU!

Supplies:
Card 1 - SSS Harvest Mouse, PTI Autumn Hills (sentiment), PB Simple Stackers die
Card 2 - Stamplorations Fierce & Brave, PB Petite Blossoms stencil

Hugs,
TK

Crafting with Michele (in my mind, anyway)

 Hello, All!

So glad you could pop in and visit a bit.  Life is hectic (I'm sure that's not only me), but your visit is always appreciated!  Hope you've had a wonderful, restful weekend and you've enjoyed any Fall weather, if that's your season of rotation currently.

I'm just wrapping up a vacation in Colorado, plus finishing with an end of the year campout in our "pasture" -- well... well-mowed grass, anyway.  While I didn't get to post a card for World Card Making Day yesterday, I did have the chance to color a few card fronts, one of which I'll post now and the others soon.  I must say, this was inspired by Michele's prompting, so this one's to you, Michele!  I'll also be sending this to IB #189 - All the Peels - the basket of apples stood out but also the tin of flowers.

While this cutie doesn't have a wooden bucket of apples, this is the image that came immediately to mind to use for this card.  It was Copic colored in fall-ish colors and placed on a square kraft card base.  I opted to not use a sentiment on the front, the card will be used to well wishes to the co-worker who took my place while I was on vacation, only to end up in surgery last Friday!  I hope it works...

Supplies:
   Anita's - Beary Best Friends

That's it for me, Folks!  Hope you have a fabulous week - see you soon.
Hugs,
TK

Colors & a Sketch

Welcome!  I've been a bit absent, but I'm here today and I'll rejoice with that!

I made a card for an upcoming Birthday, but since I haven't been in my craft room for nearly 2 weeks, my mojo was definitely missing.  So what does one do?  I searched for something that sparked my creativity, and here's what I used ~

I think you'll see the inspiration.

While the colors gave me fits, the rest came pretty easily.  The hardest point for me was making the light blue fit in... I tried several colors of light blue but this finally won by a landslide.  My proportions are a bit different but then again, isn't it called "inspiration"?

Hope you enjoy!

Supplies:
MFT Geometric Greenery, Anything But Basic Birthday (inside sentiment)

Take care and I hope to see you all soon again!

Hugs,
TK
