Twofer Challenge #29 - Butterflies

Hello, Friends!  Hope you're having a GREAT day!

Today I'm Guest Designer over at Twofer Challenge, so I want to welcome you!  Here's the prompt for this month ~

And my two cards ~

Today I present one Friend card, and one Birthday card!  I used the same die one both cards, although one may be harder to see.  If you look closely, the pink butterfly on the left is 2-layered, one solid, one fancy.  It is the solid butterfly that I used on both.

Card #1 ~

The white panel is clear embossing paste through a stencil and dried (actually previously done, so one snipped used up).  The butterflies were cut (one layered), and for the tag/label, I used a plain mini doilie die and cut it to look like clouds, layered twice too.

Card #2 ~

For this card, I die cut a square of glitter paper.  From an inner square due from the same set, I cut the white base and again cut the butterfly within it.  The white base was popped up over the turquoise glitter, and a spare vellum butterfly was attached, with its wings raised, as if fluttering by.  And a close-up...

I'm not sure if you can detect the glitter, other than the varied turquoise color because the day I chose to take photos was not the best, but you gotta deal with it, right?!

Well that's it for me, Folks, and I sure hope you join in on the fun.  Here's the basic rules ~

Card #1
   SSS - Leanna Butterfly die
   SB - Hemstiitch Squares
   Alt - Birthday Greetings

Card #2
SSS - Leanna & Chrissy Butterfly dies
   PTI - Modern Day Stencil
   MCS - Tiny Doilies (NLIB)
   PTI - Hello Friend

Thanks again, Darnell, for the honor and fun!  You sure know how to boost a gal's confidence  :o)

Hugs,
TK

Congrats TK on your guest designer spot... how lovely to use butterflies and these are so delicate and pretty. I like the pastel ones fluttering on the embossed background. I can see your glitter cardstock, its a gorgeous colour and perfect to showcase the vellum butterfly x

These are both so pretty, TK! The background white on white is a wonderfully subtle base for those delicate outline/layered butterflies ... and the soft colours are so dreamy! Your vellum butterfly is a fabulous contrast to the zingy shimmeriness of the glittery frame ... the hemstitch detailing adds a lovely touch of pizazz to this simple, stylish design! So pleased to have you inspiring our players so wonderfully as our Guest Designer at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Thanks for guest designing with us this month TK, your butterflies are soft and light and lovely. The vellum single is dramatic with the wings lifted and your triple with the addition of the scrollworks are delitcate and soft. Such sweet cards.

Those are gorgeous butterflies, TK. I love the swirly, scrolliness to them, and that there's a solid part makes this a very versatile die set. So much depth and subtle texture on your 'hello' card, and such pretty pastels. And I adore the glitter paper, which contrasts perfectly to your vellum butterfly. Great birthday card! So glad you joined us as Guest Designer at The Twofer Challenge. Sending hugs, Bev

Thank you for being our Guest Designer this month, TK! It's a shame we can't see the lovely texture of your stenciled background on the friend card, but it's a great idea to add even more interest to this wonderfully detailed card! Beautiful colors and design and very cute way to do the sediment! I can personally attest to the awesome glitter and schparkle of the birthday card and how gorgeous it looks with the vellum overlay butterfly panel! (Thank you, again!) Keep well! Hugs, Darnell
