Merry Christmas

I'll keep this short and sweet, I know we all have things that are priority over our blogs but I just wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you and Merry Christmas to you!

One more fun card ~

If you know Hubbs, you know why he gets this card!  To make this card, I used another cup image from the same set, used a microblade to make a slit around the fingers/hand and placed the handle of the cup into the slit (the existing cup just wasn't big enough)!  He's popped up over an embossed background and I really love what the sweater background adds to my bear!

Birthday Bougainvilleas

Good morning!

A short post today for the Birthday girl, there'll be lots of celebrating, I'm sure!  For this, I brought out my current favorite, and first, set of foiling plate/stamp/stencil ~

The panel was foiled, then colored using Color Hues #77 - Pink & Silver and the blooms from Triple B - December.  This time, I used almost the full colored panel, which was loosely water colored ala Michele!  No, no, no, she's the winner of that category, but a girl's gotta learn, right?!  I used my new Altenew pan paints, cut the panel down just a tad and placed it over a strip of glitter tape.  My sentiment (thanks for the win, Vicki) was die cut with coordinating paper -- and since this is a new-to-me die, it'll visit NBUS #57 too

Oh!  The shimmer... it was added by mixing my gray pan paint with some shimmer paint!  With that glitter tape, I may have not needed it but since I colored first and then arranged it, you get both today!  This card was sent to my MIL in Colorado, who hopefully has it by now and can help her have a special, blessed day.

This weekend will be a busy one, the regular "chores", a Birthday, and prep for incoming visitors for next week.  I'll try to pop in when I can, but have a great week if I don't!  I'm also enjoying each and every card I've received, as I know they come from the heart and are beautiful!

Wintry Birthday Scene

 Hello and welcome!

A quick post for today, then off to spend time with Hubbs and celebrate his Birthday.  While I like this scene, I'm not sure it's my favorite for Hubbs, but it's what I made so...

A foil plate and then colored, placed on a base that had the sentiment foiled also.  I added some WoS near the ground levels of the snow, although I'm not sure you can see it other than IRL -- maybe a close-up?

Wow!  Well you can see the foiling more! Lol - trust me, it's snow shimmer is there...

Prayers for Health

 Hello and welcome!

My card today was needed, and I just had to go to my craft room - lol.  I used a new foil plate, then used the stencils for coloring it in.  The set is beautiful and worked like a charm, the hardest part was picking out the colors.  Here is today's make ~

After ink blending, I die cut 3 layers of the prayers sentiment, using two of the light dusty pink and the bottom layer was made by inking up a white piece with the same coral-ish ink used for the berries.  I then off-set the bottom and top two layers, to bring in the coral a bit more.  Here's a photo of the aura foil shine ~

I will be sending this to The Flower Challenge #87 - Use Gold and NBUS #57 for the new products used.

Good Tidings

 Good morning, and Good Tidings!

Today's card comes as I see the new post over at Color Hues.  I will be sending it over to Color Hues #77 - Pink & Silver and NBUS #57 for both new products used ~

The berries and leaves were colored with Copics.  Then I went back in and painted with an old bottle of Shimmer Mist.  Using two different colors of grays then the Shimmer Mist, also gave me the illusion of using two different silvers.  I had to refrain myself from painting all the leaves for fear of going a bit too far! 

Sorry for the terrible photos but it is currently wet and dreary after getting a bit of snow.  While I preferred the snow, it has come and gone far too quickly.  However, in comparison to local areas, ours fared the worst for accidents during that very brief period.  It is absolutely mind-boggling how people can't be safe, slow down nor be considerate but that's a discussion for another day!  So... I will sit and imagine the beautiful white outside my window as I drink my morning coffee - lol.
