A Sketch & A Mood

Hello, Friends!

Today I come with a bit of an unexpected card.  My 92-year-old uncle flew into town, and it happens to be his Birthday today.  Needless to say, a quick card had to be done -- I say quick, but no card comes quickly when I'm at the helm!  I started with the sketch at FMS#636 and the moodboard at JUGs#727, then ventured from there.

I spun the sketch 45 degrees and used a diamond to cut the background piece and stamped piece.  The background is an old shaving foam background that's been in my bits box for years.  It was perfect to bring in the colors I wanted to use.  From there I used an NBUS stamp set, copic colored then a hot foiled sentiment.

This view'll show a bit of that foil shine ~

And because I used a new stamp, I think this'll head over to NBUS #62 too.

Supplies:
EH (oob) - Seaside & dies
PFS - Fancy Script Words & dies

Other than a family visit this weekend, it's been a quiet one.  I'm saving up energy for next week, although there might be a motorcycle ride in my future (tomorrow - ha)!  Have a great remainder of your weekend.

Hugs,
TK

CTD #793 Featured Stamper

 Hello!

I recently received a surprise, and was drawn as the Featured Stamper CTD791, and invited to in today's post as Featured Artist at CTD793 - purple, orange and aqua ~

Here's my card, which came together with new products ~

I used two new BP plates, the main image and sentiment.  After pressing, I decided to watercolor the main image with pan paints.  It was then cut down and placed on a matching base, the sentiment also pressed, cut and placed below.  Unfortunately, the more it dried and then photographed, it appears more turquoise but I still like it and hope they do too!  While my time is limited currently, I made the push to get this card done!  Thanks, CTD, for this sweet opportunity!

Supplies:
Splb - Butterfly Bouquet bpp, A Little Message bpp & dies (both NBUS)

Thank you for your visit and time, I appreciate you!

Hugs,
TK

Congrats

Greetings, Friends!

A quick post today, as I'm heading out the door to the west side of the state.  Today's a celebration at Daughter #3's home.  Here's the card ~

I was inspired by the colors at CTD791 - Magenta, Gray and Aqua.  Great colors to work with, and I used a new stamp and die set, so this'll visit NBUS #62 as well.  While I have the stencils to this set, I didn't use them today.  The flowers were Copic colored, then cut; the banner cut from aqua and the next smaller size cut from vellum.  I chose to add some pierced detail to the largest banner.  The sentiment is a pre-foiled sentiment.
And a close-up, in case you can't see the shine ~

Supplies:
PFS - Blooming Branch & dies (NBUS)
   Alt - Nesting Slim dies
   SSS - Detail Ringlet cp
   Rngr - LetterIt foiled sentiments

That's it for me!  I'm 🎵"on the road again" 🎵 -- have a great weekend!

 Hugs,
TK
