Happiest Birthday, Grandson!

Another Birthday card of late, this one for my one and only grandson, who is a pure joy to my heart!  I'm not sure how my daughter wrapped so many great attributes into a 7 year old boy, but boy did she!  This card's for him...

I wanted to make this card super fun, and I think I did pretty good!  I chose this stamp set because I've had it for several years, just waiting for the perfect age.  I wanted to use primary colors, so only added a bit off from there.

Happy Plaid - Gated Birthday!

Like my last post stated "Big plans, Little success"!  I had all the intentions in the world to get around and visit everyone this past weekend, but no success!  So while I have a couple posts to make, I hope you don't hold it against me that I haven't visited you, but know that I will!

So here's wishing SIL #1 Happy Birthday today!  We wish him a wonderful day, and many more Birthdays - he's been an awesome son-in-law to have around!  Here's his card, a gate-fold which is new to me but not so new in blogland... 

I also added a bit of extra "sumptin' sumptin' to the inside and to the envelope...

Big plans, Little success

Sometimes we have all these goals in our heads, and then reality hits... this card fit nicely into several challenges but my timing was not good.  So alas, it will be posted anyway hoping to bring a smile!  I used a few NBUS items, and for that I'm grateful.  I also managed to use quite items from a variety of makers.  This card is actually a Birthday card but you can't tell from the outside, only the inside reveals it's intentions.  Up front, let me apologize for the "quickie" photo -- it definitely could be better!  Take a peek!
