Coffee Is Not Enough

 Good Day, Friends!

I have a card for you today but the backstory may be a bit confusing.  I wanted to use the "old" Color Hues challenge to see if I could make something viable (non-floral) using Peach and Teal.  Then I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and thought "I could use that"!  Lo and behold, I missed both challenges, but I still wanted to post so I found JUGS #812 - Stencil Week.  Yay for me, now to incorporate the stencil!  So today, I'm using two new-to-me products so I can also send this to NBUS #84 too.  Now, let's hurry along before I miss these too!

Haha!  Love this image...
Frankly I kinda feel like this most mornings.  You see, I had my thyroid removed just over 30 years ago -- yep, half my life ago.  Since then, one of the side-effects that I've had to bear is slow mornings.  I didn't drink coffee until post mid 30's, if that tells you anything.  Now I have to limit myself but it's a daily thing, I really don't like the taste (at least before the sugar additions), it's absolutely a caffeine thing for me.

She cracks me up!  I definitely relate to this gal.
I could say I look like this every morning, but I'm pretty sure she looks way better, seriously... before the coffee...

Supplies:
Unity - Coffee Is Not Enough
   Alt. - Squiggly Lines

Have a wonderful week, I hope to see you all soon again!  Thanks for the visit!

Hugs,
TK

Ha, she's a hoot and so is the sentiment! I like the subtle stenciling behind this little gal. Cute card, TK thanks for sharing it with us at Jut Us Girls!

What a fun card! I love the lady with her coffee too! You did a great job for both challenges so I’m sorry you missed the deadlines.

TK, I've seen you first thing in the morning, and you look way better - even before coffee!! lol
She is so cute! You did a great job incorporating those CH colors, and I even see our Sketch! Good for you for finding a challenge that works and a design that works for the challenges!

I love the image. I guess we all feel that way sometimes, though for me I need a big mug of tea to get me going. (I have a pint mug - that's 600ml, but I don't drink coffee at all. Never have and I'm almost 80!) I think you did well with the colours. Kate P.

I'm sure you're lyin', TK. She looks way worse than you! She is a total hoot and we can all relate ~ both to how she looks and to missing challenges! I kracked up at the sediment! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

I knew this had to be a Unity stamp before I even started reading your post and she is a hoot TK!! I love how you used our old challenge colors and that even her hair is peach...too funny TK! I've missed my fair share of deadlines for challenges too, so don't even fret about that! This card totally makes me smile and I'm not even a coffee drinker! (tastes like hot dirt!!) AWESOME card my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)

She sure looks like I feel when I get up in the morning. Coffee is the first order of business for me too! This is a great card and I'm sure would be appreciated by most of us!

Saw this card on the JUGS site and just had to come take a closer look. She is fabulous and I can so relate to both her and yourself - I have an underactive thyroid and where I used to be a get up and go in the morning gal, now I'm definitely more 'need to be struck by lightning', lol. My coffee substitute (can't stand the taste!) is a chai latte and it's a terrible day that doesn't begin with one of those... Crafty hugs.

I don't think she looks awful at all, TK. In fact I think she's rather cute with her messy hair and fluffy slippers. I'm not a coffee drinker so I don't relate but I still get a kick out of the image and the sentiment.

Bummer you missed two of the challenges, TK, because she is absolutely perfect for both! Love the stenciling in the back and your use of the peach and teal colors is perfect.

AWESOME card TK! What a super fun image and love it done in peach and teal. You nailed both those challenges ... too bad they close so quickly. But you definitely have a great card for the "other" two challenges. Great work! xx
