Hello and Welcome!
This is for all you friends who are braving out the winter snow and cold. While I love the snow, some of those temps I've heard (-47 for one!), will keep me on my side of the U.S.! I mean, we get snow, we get down to the teens usually for a week, but this winter we seem to be on the warmer side of all that.
Anywhoooo.....
I started this card, thinking I'd be sending it to JUGs - Stencil week, but I missed that since it took me 3 days to complete it. My other hope was Christmas Kickstart #106 - Dreaming of a Pink Christmas. It appears I'll make this one by the skin of my chinny-chin-chin, so I'd better get with it!
An NBUS stencil from T Holtz, a couple of pink inks (photo shows pink inks, not corals) for ink-blending, a lonely green Copic, a gold Signo gel and a "clear" gel pen, whichs looks more silver sparkle -- easy, right? Nope! While I love the stencil, it is only one, not a set of coordinating so there's A TON of masking.
I added a strip of coral-ish pink card at the bottom, and also layered the pink foiled sentiment on more of the same cardstock. Here's a closer look that shows more sparkle from the two pens ~
Now, will I ever use this stencil again? Probably not, even though it's beautiful. Maybe it's me being lazy, or used to the newer layered stencils, but 3 days is just too much for me. Thus the leaves in green Copic, and the centers and snow in pen. After starting this card, I distinctly remember trying to use it one other time and then figuring out the masking issue...
Since this is an unused stencil until now, it'll also be heading to Darnell's NBUS #82.

This is absolutely lovely TK! The soft colors are just wonderful!
It’s unfortunate you is our challenge. This card is just beautiful! 😍
I love that card with the soft colors of the flowers. So very beautiful!
Your card is STUNNING, TK! I love the soft shades of pink and green. Such a lovely stencil, but agree ... lots of masking (I have the same stencil). Worth making a couple of cards at the same time to take advantage of only masking one for each of the colours. :) xx
Hi TK, this is gorgeous. I love the shades of pink you've used and the softness of your stenciling - just so pretty. Thanks for joining Chris and me at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, Jo x
It may have taken a TON of masking TK, but the end results were so worth it...this card is BEAUTIFUL!! I love your soft pink ink blending and all the shimmer and shine too! Lovely, lovely card my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
Tim has a tendency to put everything in one stencil or die and it's frustrating to say the least, TK. You worked around it beautifully and ended up with a lovely card.
TK, I give you kudos for doing all that masking - we are spoiled with the layered sets aren't we? But I LOve your results so don't throw it away!

So pretty! I adore a good stenciled card and one with pinks and the frosting on the cake: poinsettias! Thanks so much for joining us at Christmas kickstart challenge!
My first thought when I saw this was WOW! What pretty shades of pink. The next thought was how well you kept the green from the flowers and the pink from the leaves. I have this stencil and always end up with ink where I don't want it. I'd say you did it beautifully!
How pretty. Loving the color scheme you used. Poinsettias are a favorite of mine.
So pretty, TK! The softly stenciled background is just so lovely.
OH, TK. I just love these colors together. So soft, subtle, feminine and the light touch with the inking is perfection. You know, I almost went pink this Christmas but couldn't find things that allowed me to work the pinks together, so I decided to paint my craft room peach instead :-). I love the addition of the peach stripe along the bottom
Just gorgeous
hugs
