Christmas Florals for Birthday?

 Hello, Friends!  Welcome!

Yep, I went there... I figure if your Birthday is today, the 17th, then a poinsettia might be a great choice!  While I have made a card from this stencil before, it was one I used at Michele's last year.  Somehow it ended up in my basket this year!

Originally at Michele's, I ink blended both stencils, the poinsettia petals and centers on one, with the leaves and background designs on the second stencil.  This time, on the first stencil after coloring, I added pearl paste over the centers and sparkle paste on the background designs (flakes and dots).  I love how the pearl allowed the color to show through, and the sparkle added a bit more bling.  A sentiment frame was cut from vellum, and then the foiled/cut sentiment was added on top.

I love the subtle shimmer and foiling and I think my MIL will love it too!

This card will go to NBUS #81 for the new-to-me stencil, to the Flower Challenge's final challenge (so sad, but thankful for the fun while it lasted!), and Color Hues #123 - Pink & Green; plus I know it isn't a Christmas card but it does feature a Christmas flower, Christmas Kickstart #105 - Christmas-y.
