Flowers for the Day

Welcome!

Wednesday was my eldest daughter's Birthday, but since we're celebrating tonight, I made this card ~

A simple vase of flowers, a die cut frame, a stamped border and an embossed background.  While these aren't real flowers, the real bouquet was delivered to her on her actual Birthday.   Let's talk about those color choices -- Hubbs boxed and gift-wrapped a present with a dark teal wrap, and thus this bouquet was born!  What can't you see in this photo?

I wanted to add filler flowers without adding any more colors, so the leaves were "colored" with a silver gel pen, while the flowers were given the "crystal" treatment.
Oh, and Bellis?  The scientific name of the Daisy!

Since I have used almost all new products, except the frame, this will be going to NBUS #79, Penny Black October - Anything Goes, and Triple B - October (do you see coral?).

Supplies:
PB - Dainty Daisies/dies, Handpicked/dies, Dashed Design e/f (all NBUS) and Classy Frames

Gotta run -- lots to do before the celebration tonight!

BEAUTIFUL card TK and how fun that you coordinated with the gift wrapping! The flowers are beautifully colored and I'm loving the embossed background and bottom treatment that looks like the pitcher is sitting on a doily! Lovely, lovely card my friend and birthday wishes to your daughter!! Hugs. :0)

I'm just as impressed that your husband wrapped her gift as I am your beautiful card, TK! All the little details are wonderful, and I especially love the beautiful coral print at the bottom!

I didn't know that this was the scientific name for a daisy! Interesting! Your hubs is a keeper to wrap your daughter's present! The card is so pretty and will be enjoyed even longer than the real bouquet!

The metal pitcher and lacy border make this a vintage looking card, TK. It's lovely.

What a pretty card for your daughter, TK! I love the detail along the bottom edge. Is that a stamp? Hubby wrapped the gift... what a guy!
