Gratitude

Hello!

Here's the card that I promised 8 days ago... Remember, I mentioned 3 was a crowd and the 4th would have to wait?  Well, today's the day!

While we don't celebrate Halloween, I can still enjoy a cute image and a challenge to use it; plus I know someone who does!  Another stamped image from Ida, during our September crafty session, colored with Copics, mounted on dp and sentiment label attached ~

Unity:  unknown
HB:  dp
MCS (oob):  sentiment

While she looks a little worn and frazzled from her day of cleaning, she and Kitty are quite happy to see you!  The sentiment was used because... well, gratitude for a good friend!

To any of you who celebrate this day, have a GREAT and SAFE one!

Hugs,
TK

Ida 1.0

 Welcome!

I'm sure you weren't expecting another post from me BUT...
I had a meet-up with Ida on September 4th.  She graciously gifted me with a few images she'd stamped and so I'm here to share them with you ~

First up is a fall bouquet, sweet as can be, but I tried to follow Ida's lead and use pencils and gamsol... with limited success.  While I did okay with the larger images, I found it difficult (even with a smaller stub) to blend in small areas thus I went outside the lines quite a bit - oy!  I was able to clean it up a bit with a white pen, but I'm only mildly happy with my end result...

Oops!  Somewhere I lost this image's information!

Next up, we have a very sweet image with a handsome pumpkin and a sweet bird singing with all his might!  I colored the front image with Copics, and attempted to place it on my fall, pencil-colored background but knew I'd have to put a little solid color between.  So I cut a small label and popped up the pumpkin image overtop, keeping the label to minimum so I didn't cover up too much.  A sentiment was stamped and cut into an angled label and mounted with foam tape.  Hmmm, the more I look at this photo, the more I see how washed out it looks!  The bg is much more colorful and a wider variety of tones than you see here.  I might have to fire the PS artist!

Unity:  Kit of Month (Sept); BG of Month (Aug)
MFT - Elegant Stax label
MCS (oob) - sentiment

Last but not least, I colored the sweet girl image, cut her wonky, and mounted it over a piece of paper I received as a sweet gift (in a very large box) from Carol Hintermeier -- thanks again!  The sentiment, a pre-printed label was added.

Unity:  Kit of Month (Aug)
HB:  Sweet On You dp
SSS:  Sentiment Strip

Three's a crowd, right?  I had one more image, but you'll have to wait on that one!

Thanks for the visit; and thanks, Ida, for the afternoon of fun with you and your granddaughter!

Hugs,
TK

Snow, Anyone?

Warm Greetings!

Goodness, I love snow!   I love the beauty, the frosty shimmer, the pristine white... ahhh, I cannot get enough of it!  Well, until somebody drives through it and ruins the beauty!  Yes, I'm the mom that would haul the girls and "friends" up to the mountain for skiing, snowboarding, sledding.  I love the warmth (not HOT) of summer, the glorious colors of Spring and Fall, but Winter is beautiful too.  A favorite?  I don't have one... I just love all the beauty that we've been so graciously gifted!
So in honor of those winter thoughts ~

Trimmed apart from its mate (below), Copic colored and mounted on a debossed background.
CCC - Snowmen & Bunnies
LF - Joyful Wishes
Splb - freebie cardstock
HB - Fancy Pierced Snowflakes ip (NBUS), entering at NBUS Challenge #67

Second image on the same stamp as above, Copic colored and mounted.
CCC - Snowman & Bunnies
Sorry, forgot where I got the sentiment!

Again, Copic Colored, die cut and popped up on a masked/inked background with shimmer drops added for snow.
CCC - Teamwork
Splb - Holiday Sentiments 2

Isn't he precious?

Copic colored, fussy cut around the border and attached to the base.  Secondary sentiment added for a little extra fun.

CCC - Snow Good Sledding
Splb - more cardstock freebie
SSS - pre-stamped sentiment cut into banner

That's it for me today.  Thank you for walking down the snowy, memory lane with me -- I had fun!

Hugs,
TK

Christmas @ Michele's

WHAT?!?!

OK, just kidding in the literal sense but I do have a few cards to share from my Spring trip...
Yes, Michele, you may pick up your chin and resume your regularly scheduled programming...

These cards all came from Michele's stash of adorable things while I was there last Spring.  I actually have so many, that I'll split this into two groups, today's group - Floral/Fauna, which perfectly fit into several challenges -- Win/Win!

This card topper was my first attempt at better press ~

Pressed, cut with a new frame, and watercolored, this one will go to Triple B - October.

My second card comes from an adorable little stencil, that just happened to find a way to jump into my basket once I returned home ~

Ink blended with the colors below (thanks, Michele, for showing me this trick of  snapping a photo of the colors), cut and mounted on a leftover piece of press plated cotton left from a recent PFS Event.  The sentiment is actually foiled in black, though hindsight I wish I would've popped it up...  This card will go to The Flower Challenge #96 - Add a Stencil.

Today's final card is another adorable image, this one from Anita Jeraim, which I now see has already been used in the inspiration gallery!  Oh well, I hope they forgive me and let me add it in ~

Copic-colored, die cut and mounted on freebie shimmery red panel from Spellbinders.  The sentiment was fussy-cut and added, after adding a bit of shimmer gel to the snow and snowball.  This one will go to Peace On Earth #73.  I'm pretty sure you can see the inspiration...

Card #1:  Splb Christmas Greetings; PB - Elegant Stitching frame
Card #2:  WF - Layered Poinsettia stencil; PB - Elegant Stitching frame
Card #3:  CCC - Snow Happy/Happy Days?; Splb - shimmer cardstock

Well now that I've chatted your ears off and made your eyes weary, I will bid you adieu so I can do yardwork!  No rest for the weary, right?!  I hope you truly have a magnificent, blessed day!

Hugs,
TK
