TO #69 - Grateful for You, Nothing Is Impossible

Made a little card, well actually two since I used the leftovers!  The first one fit nicely into the current challenge at Time Out - Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart!  I started with a watercolor panel using Peerless. A maple leaf and sentiment were stamped in gold then clear embossed, kind of hard to photograph but quite easy to see IRL.  So here's the first card...

And a second card, that doesn't fit into the challenge but was made with the leftovers.  Plus, since I've never made a shaker card...

As I mentioned, this was the leftovers from the die cut panel.    I kinda like it although the Flower Soft inside the panel doesn't move as much as I'd like, probably due to being so lightweight.  Lesson learned...

So, the first goes over to:

"Grateful" Products -

   Stamp:  Altenew Be-Leaf Me
CS:  PTI Terracotta Tile, Ripe Avocado

"Luke 1:37" Products -

   Stamp:  PTI Beautiful Blessings

Thanks again for letting me take a moment of your time, and Happy Sunday!

FMS260, SS Wed, CTS #196 - Mr and Mrs

Made a little card for a wedding, a water colored panel with several layers to get deeper colors.  I had the die cut heart left from another project so I wanted to use it and accent the deep blue.  It was heat embossed with a couple layers of silver ep.  I also embossed the sentiment, added a couple sequins and the silver ribbon.

I love the sparkle of the silver ep!  An inside sentiment was added in the same distress ink used for the watercolored panel.

I'll send this over to Freshly Made Sketches using this sketch (which I flipped on the long edge), and SS Wednesday: Anything Goes, (minus LF), Case This Sketch #196 (lowered and flipped)

Have Faith!

Hello, Friends!  I've made another card and it's hopefully in the hands of the recipient by now.  This one's a little different for me but here it is!

I started with some new Brushos, sprinkled onto some Bristol paper, spritzed with water and let them do their thing!  After drying, I cut it into an oval, cut the branch and spritzed it with glimmer mist and set that aside to dry.  I stamped VersaMark onto a small piece of deep purple cs, heat embossed with silver, then cut a slice of gray cs a little larger, adding fishtails to it.  Some sprinkles were placed onto the flower centers.  Here's a close -up, wishing you could see the glimmer mist better!

Since the days have been a little gray off and on, the picture doesn't do this justice, but hopefully you'll get it idea...  Hmmm another watercolour that isn't Autumn! I'll make it into that challenge one of these days...

CAS Mix Up - October

Well, well, I finally made it again!  I've really been wanting to try this "new to me" ghosting technique, and I found a little inspiration (ok, a LOT) in Loll's card, below...

It's a beauty, right!?!  She is just soooo amazing!!!  I needed to stock up on a few "encouragement" type cards, because I had donated a bunch , so I made this...

I made this baby to send over to CAS Mix Up, and super excited because I thought I could also enter the new "sister" challenge CAS Watercolour, but alas I learned that it had a theme of Autumn.  Anywhooo I started with a Bristol panel, and watercolored with Brushos.  BTW I think I'm in love with this color! Then I went back and did the new-to-me ghosting technique with a stencil and water, and let that dry.  I die cut a couple flowers, layered by 3, and stamped a little sentiment.  This was quite fun!

Products -
Paper:  Bristol smooth, PTI Limeade Ice
   Brushos:  Sea Green
   Stencil:  SSS Gingham
Die;  Essentials by Ellen Wild Garden

Fusion 10/6/16 -- Happy Birthday, Daughter #1!

I'm actually pretty excited how this all came together!  Sometimes (ok, a lot) I have great "plans" and then I muff it up, it doesn't look the same on paper as it did in my head or SoMeThInG happens!!!  I know it happens to everyone, but I think a little more to me since I'm relatively new to all this...

Well Daughter #1's Birthday was actually yesterday but since she was out of town with her hubby, we'll be celebrating today.  Goodness!  She's the big 3-0!!  That doesn't make me old, right?  Well, before I keep you too long, I'll let you take peek...

I stamped the image and colored with Copics, added a few white gel accents, masked and ink blended through a stencil for the sun, cut the base and main image layers with stitched detail and mounted to the cs.  Glossy accents were applied to noses, eyes, balloons plus a few random ones to imitate the balloons.  A close-up of the details...

This was a fun card to make!  It will be sent to Fusion Card Challenge.  I was inspired by the layout, although it's totally in a scene instead of different cuts.  I couldn't make the chairs in the photo fit the stamp, go figure!

Products -
Stamps:  Penny Black Hedgehog Balloon Madness, front sentiment is SSS Sending/Wishing

Get Well Wishes

This card's off to a friend who is recovering from surgery.  I've already heard she's doing well but I wanted to spread a little cheer  :0)  I stamped the image, colored with my ZIGS, die cut and popped up the image on a woodgrain cs, added some glossy accents and then stamped a sentiment and "frame" around it on the inside.  I wanted to leave the image center stage so opted to not put a sentiment on the front, besides I kinda really like that woodgrain showing too!

Products -
Ink: VersaFine and HA Cup of Joe (inside)
Paper:  Bristol smooth, Essentials by Ellen Woodgrain
   Die:  Sizzix Grand Large Label
Stamp:  PTI BB: Birthday and PTI Inside/Out: Well Wishes (both inside)

Thanks for stopping by, I think I'm gonna call it a night!

Wishing...

Just a quick post, I actually have some time to play if I don't stick around the posting too long!

A card made for a recent Birthday, masculine of course!  These aren't the easiest for me but this one came together pretty well.  I stamped and embossed a background stamp then cut it down, I may have smudged the edges but I learned not try to use the very edge of the stamp to get a solid support system!  I cut a piece of pp, then layered it under the diagonal cut of kraft again. Stamped, wrapped some twine, then finished off the inside.  So....

Supplies -
Stamps:  SSS Abstract Triangles BG (NBUS), SSS Sending & Wishing (outside), Clearly Besotted Feeling Sheepish (inside sentiment)
Dies:  Sizzix Wonky Squares, E by E You Rock (used inside), Lil Inkers On the Diagonal
Paper:  PTI Classic Kraft, Neenah Natural White, TPS Stonewashed pp
   Ink:  ME Hazel, HA Stonewash
   Misc.:  clear ep, hemp cording

Hope your weekend is awesome, and I'm praying that everyone in the way of Hurricane Matthew stays safe and life can resume quickly!

MUSE #185, SSS Wednesday: Anything Goes

Well wonders never cease! I made a card and it miraculously fit into a couple challenges!  If I make a card for a challenge, it doesn't seem to work for anything else; but when I just make a card it usually NEVER fits into any challenges!  Well, I broke out of the dilemma for a bit!  This card is on its way to a special someone who made a generous card donation to RFK.  What is that you ask?  Just check the tabs above....  So on to the card, shall we?

I started with a colored card base, added the pp cut using a border die, cut the base and outline for the word die and popped it up on foam dots.  Finally, I placed a few Doodlebug sprinkles, thanks to the wonderful generosity of Michele!  A close-up showing the dimension...

And an attempt at showing you the wonderful sparkle from the sprinkles!

This little ditty will be heading to MUSE #185 (Aileen Ryan), and SSS Wednesday: Anything Goes.
For the MUSE challenge, I used Aileen's beautiful floral inspiration, and her wonderful stand-out sentiment.  For the SSS Wednesday, I used Spellbinders.

Products -
Paper:  PTI Winter Wisteria, pp from Colorbok Fresh Linen, Neenah 80# white and SSS Gray
Dies:  Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders 1, SSS Thankful (NBUS)
Stamp: ME True Friends (inside sentiment NBUS)
Doodlebug Sprinkles in Lily White Glitter

Thanks for spending your time with me!  I love having you visit me!  Hope your day is truly blessed...
