NBUS #6, HLS CAS (faux Mother of Pearl) and SSS Wednesday (Touchy Feely)

Well, this one started out as a card for Darnell's NBUS challenge, as I have quite a few things to work through.  It seems to me that I buy because I "need it" but then I reach for my usual standbys so I'm trying to rectify that with help from Darnell!

The original panel was made using Loll's video for faux Mother of Pearl.  I used Distress Inks to blend over pearlized white paint.  The panel was then cut with a NBUS die, leaves rolled up a bit, embellies added, layered over foiled cs and colored cs, then mounted on the panel.  I then stamped the sentiment.

Though it's hard to see the foiled cs, hopefully you'll get a glimmer here.  I really like the two colors I used together, they just seem rich.  Oh yah, I splattered a few water droplets too!

CS:  Neenah 80#, PTI Plum Pudding, DCWV Foiled silver
Ink:  DI Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, HA Grape Juice
Die: SSS Partial Flower Die-cut
MS embellies

I'm hoping my card works for the SSS "Touchy Feely" but since it has textural layers, I'm gonna try  :oP  Also, may have too many layers for HLS, but I gotta learn right?

Thanks for joining me today, good to be able to get a card out on the blog again!

Hi TK. Great job of the Faux Mother of Pearl. Those colours you've used are gorgeous together. Also love the design with the partially diecut blooms ... adds lots of dimension. xx

Fabulous dimension and colours! I love the stand out blooms that you used to create with the MofP technique. I have not used this technique in years and your card has inspired me ❤️

So much to love about this card, TK!! First, go you for using those delicious jewel tones and all that plum!! I think the end result is stunning! (Wouldn't that be a fabulous fabric?!) And I love that you used that cut-out die and sprinkled on some water over your pearly and shiny design!! Thank you so much for your support and for playing in my NBUS Challenge #6!! I'm so glad to be your motivator!! Hugs, Darnell
