Deep Joy and Calming Peace

 Hello, hello!

I'm back today to post the card I had in my mind's eye, the other day.  You remember, all the boo-boos that I was able to recover from?  Yep, that card!

Same design, just more of what I had envisioned.  The bottom plaid is a part of the poinsettia stamp set.  Two two layers of scalloped cs and the sentiment are popped up on thin foam.  While the embossing looks white, it's actually silver pearl -- it's really pretty IRL.

That's it for me!
Hope you have a great weekend, I'll be off vising family.

Hugs,
TK

Abundant Blessings & Love

 Welcome, welcome!

I have a couple of cards with respective challenges today; I'm thinking the cards have aligned - lol!  Both cards use the same PB Flower of Month but are very different.  Let's go see ~

Due to trying to get two cards made in my limited time, I struggled with this one and it's my "save".  I forgot to use anti-static powder before the embossing ink for the flowers, so I had embossing powder everywhere!  Trying not to toss it, I decided the tone-on-tone look would work and wiped all the powder away.  My next thought was equally dangerous, when I decided to cut the bottom off -- yep, too short!  Thus came the second white panel to fill in the gap - urghh!  While I like the card, I may have to retry my original thought...

This card was inspired by FMS #708 (urgh!  I missed it) and the feelings of Jill Foster from PB&J, so it'll also go to PB Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes.  This one was copic-colored, layers cut (yep, I added an extra and resized them a bit).  While I love layers and dimension, I never know which cards Hubbs will send to his family, which includes a Christmas letter.  That said, I now have to try to keep layers to a minimum for Christmas, as we've had several cards/letters returned over the last year.  I'm not sure, but I think the post office's new equipment can weed out my cards!

Supplies:
for both - PB Poinsettia/dies (NBUS), July '25 Flower of the Month
#1 - PB Classy Frame die; Feeling of Christmas stamp (NBUS); AE - Dotted Border dies
#2 - PB Elegant Stitching dies, Stitched Circles & Square dies

Two more cards for the stash!  It might be a little win, but I'll take it - lol.  Have a great day and I'll see you soon, I hope.

Hugs,
TK

Joy Duo for IDEAS and NBUS

 Hello again!

Today I have a quick post.  I've tried to get decent photos several times, but the sun was so bright in my window that they just didn't work.  So, I tried again... hopefully these are better!

They both use the same elements, with different layouts, so here they are ~

The gold embossing on this one isn't really clear in the photo, but it's much better IRL.  I do like that the embossing in the background is subtle, too bad I don't have a folder that embosses something for the Nativity!

This one is obviously a horizontal fold with a strip of  glitter tape added to the top, which I did before partially embossing the rest of the panel.  Hopefully you can see the embossed detail, in case you don't know this folder.

One of these will go to NBUS and one to play along with Darnell in her IDEAS, E is for Embossing.

Supplies:
Stampendous - Joy To The World
Splb - Scattered Christmas e/f (NBUS)

Two more for the stash!

Have a great a day!

Precious Peace, Love & Joy

Welcome, I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today I have a duo of cards, for a quad of challenges.   I've been wanting to challenge myself to do more water coloring... so I got brave and one of today's cards is watercolored.  I have a LoNg way to go, but I did have fun.

Cars #1

This one was not watercolored - ha!  I fell to my usual Copics, added a background gifted to me by a sweet friend, fussy cut the image and popped the image and sentiment up on thin foam.

This card will go to Christmas Kickstart #103 - Snow, to play along with Loll, their Guest Elf.  I've been scrambling to be able to play along!  It'll also play over at Darnell's at NBUS #79.

Card #2

Here's the card watercolored with re-inkers, the image fussy cut and popped up along with the sentiment over a second background gifted from my friend (thanks x2).  This time, I lowered the sentiment so I could add the North Star to be gazed upon.

This card will go to Color Hues #120 - purple & orange, plus Double D - Halloween colors (focusing on the same two).

So do you have a favorite?

Supplies:
PB - Sweet Sledder (NBUS), retired embossing folders
   MB - ancient Star die
PTI - almost as ancient My Mother tag die (partial cut)

Well, that's it for me, Folks!  I hope to be back soon, but I will be incapacitated for a few days starting the end of next week.  Have a great weekend, Everyone!

OK - You Guessed It!

Hello!

About a week ago, I posted this card and quite a few of you included another possible sentiment for the card.  Well, you got it!

Yes, it comes with the sentiment all of you thought that my kitty might represent!  I could say something snarky about all the comments, but I resemble this sentiment all too well... I'll spare you the snark!  Now, since I'm trying really hard to make two cards with each set before stashing them away, I didn't have time on the previous posts, so here they are now.  On "Hot Flash Kitty", I pressed the fun plaid in an ink matching his eyes.  The kitty was colored with Copics (an orange tabby now) and fussy cut, then the sentiment added.

I used the same elements on this one as my first card, except the sweet sentiment press plate and a different frame die, just in a new orientation.  This time I colored the flowers with DI re-inkers.  While I'm not a great watercolorist, I am watching videos and hopefully learning.

Supplies:
Card #1 - Unity Fan Club Pissy Kitty; PFS Stippled Plaid pp; HB Truly Great Friends sentiment die
Card #2 - PB Dainty Daisies/dies; PB Plaited Frames; Splb You Are Everything pp (NBUS)

Edited to add to Triple B - October

Thank you for the visit and I hope to be back soon!

Flowers for the Day

Welcome!

Wednesday was my eldest daughter's Birthday, but since we're celebrating tonight, I made this card ~

A simple vase of flowers, a die cut frame, a stamped border and an embossed background.  While these aren't real flowers, the real bouquet was delivered to her on her actual Birthday.   Let's talk about those color choices -- Hubbs boxed and gift-wrapped a present with a dark teal wrap, and thus this bouquet was born!  What can't you see in this photo?

I wanted to add filler flowers without adding any more colors, so the leaves were "colored" with a silver gel pen, while the flowers were given the "crystal" treatment.
Oh, and Bellis?  The scientific name of the Daisy!

Since I have used almost all new products, except the frame, this will be going to NBUS #79, Penny Black October - Anything Goes, and Triple B - October (do you see coral?).

Supplies:
PB - Dainty Daisies/dies, Handpicked/dies, Dashed Design e/f (all NBUS) and Classy Frames

Gotta run -- lots to do before the celebration tonight!

FAN-tastic!

Hello!

Today's card is masculine, or at least a good attempt - lol...  A Birthday card for today.

While I bought this image a while ago, I'm just getting to using it.  I'm really hoping the snarky attitude is appreciated, as sometimes it is, sometimes not so much!  The image was stamped, then ink blended using very small brushes.  While you can't see it in the photo, there is actually 3 colors of brown used, BUT the darker color on the face isn't visible in the photo.  I actually saw this coloring done on the Unity website and thought it was awesome.  After coloring, I used the dies to cut down the main image, plus using the outside frame from a larger die.

This'll go to NBUS #79

That's it for today, and I'm off like a jackrabbit to get all my errands done today while I can!

Have a great day!

WCMD?

 Welcome, Friends!

Did someone say World Card Making Day?  Yep, and I intended on spending the entire day, blissfully in my craft room!  Isn't there a saying about well-laid plans?  I'm assuming that you've guessed that my plans didn't work out...  While I did spend a bit of time in my room, I only merely planned out two cards and started the initial stamping.  Then, revenge Sunday came and I was going to steal back all of that time stolen from my craft room the day before - HA!  Yep, that didn't work either, but I did complete two cards.  Here they are ~

A sweet PB stamp, all colored with Copics and a bit of WoS added to the snow, which you can't see - lol.  The background debossed (de-pierced?), a panel of dp added, the image and sentiment popped up.

The cutie is the second image of the same PB set, again colored with Copics and placed on a pierced panel, a golden arch laying on my desk and a gold-foiled sentiment popped up.
Well, I got TWO Christmas cards done -- yay for me!

Because both of these cards are PB and unused, I'll be sending this to their challenge October - "Anything Goes" and NBUS #79

Supplies:
Card 1 ~ PB Frosty Feathers & dies (NBUS), Plaited Frames (also NBUS); HB Pierced Fancy Flakes PFS Fancy Label Frame (NBUS); Carta Bella dp (OoB)
Card 2 ! PB Frosty Feathers & dies (NBUS), PFS Sparkling Diamond cp; WF Nested Dome dies; Splb Merry Messages pp (NBUS)

Have a GREAT day, be kind to yourself, see you soon!
