Welcome Baby

Today I have a card that I made and gave to a friend who is having her first baby, a sweet little boy.  I have had this stamp set for awhile ( believe now retired from Jane's Doodles), and I really wanted to make something from it again.

Paper: Neenah 110#, card base is Neenah 80#
Stamp:  Noah's Ark (Janes Doodles)

See you again soon!

Thank You Gift

Today I have a pack of cards as a Thank You gift for my eldest daughter's mother-in-law, who is hosting Thanksgiving for both our families today.  She is wonderful and sweet and I thought I would gift her with a few different occasion cards.  I dabbed on the ink over the plate, then used the Big Shot gray to cut out the rest of the details.

Well, that's probably it for me today but I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

IP:  Spellbinder Flower Silhouette
Ink: Hero Arts MT
Dies:  PTI Enjoy, Hello and Wet Paint Words

OCC Holiday Style Day 7.1

This card is one that I have some critiquing about, some "wishing I woulda"s, but here it is cuz I'm still learning right?

Well, I think I would've stuck to silver and gold on the sentiments OR just blue maybe but not all three.  Live and learn...

Paper:  Neenah, misc vellum
Stencil:  SSS Circle Dots
Die:  PTI Joy, Love & Peace
Wendy Vecchi embossing paste, MS glitter

OCC Holiday Style Day 5

Here is my little scene created from Day 5 of class, Cute & Whimsical Cards.  I loved making this one; probably my favorite, replicating Laura Bassen's whimsy!

This card was not only my first attempt at masking, but also at embossing paste AND copic coloring something that was actually an entire scene not just a small image.  However, I just noticed that I forgot to draw in the rope from the sled to the elf!!!  Oops!

Stamp:  MFT Santa's Elves, Wplus9 Winter Pals
Ink:  Hero Arts
Stencil:  SSS Falling Snow
Wendy Vecchi embossing paste, Stampendous glitter on paste

OCC Holiday Style Day 3.3

Here is my Classic Shape Stamping, as inspired by May Park's wonderful card.

Stamps:  LF Joy to the Woods, MCS (out of business), MFT Santa's Elves
Die:  MB Star of Wonder

OCC Holiday Style Day 3.2

Here is my Two-Tone Elegance card from our class.  This was TOTALLY inspired by Debby Hughes in all her wonderful talent!  Sorry, I copied it almost every inch, and what I didn't, I totally would change something about "my stamp" on it!

Paper:  Neenah white, ProArt Watercolor, DCWV Glitzy Glitter
Die:  PTI Love, Joy & Peace

OCC Holiday Style Day 3.1

This card is taken from Day 3 of our class, Kristina Werner's video.  I didn't have a similar stamp, so I used one that I thought would work well for the Classic Style she was going for.

This stamp is from an older set from Close to My Heart.

Ink:  Ranger Distress, Versamark
Stamp: CTMH Very Merry Christmas
Ranger Princess Gold EP
Gold ribbon

OCC Holiday Style Day 1.3

This card is taken from Day 1, Laurie Willison's video for Shapes and Masking with Markers.

If I had to critique this one, and trust me I have, I would use a little bigger image or a smaller card base.  However, I really wanted to use this image from PTI and I didn't think of reducing the card until, well you know -- too late!

Ink: PTI
Stamp:  PTI Stained Glass
Die:  MB Star of Wonder

OCC Holiday Style Day 1.2

Here is my second card from the class.  This one is taken from Debby Hughes, and her video for Clean Layers.

Two down, a few more to go!

Paper:  Neenah white, Walmart Shimmer
Die:  Snowflake Border (no longer in business)
Stamps:  MFT Santa's Elves, Fiskars Holiday Hooplah
Ink:  HA Silver (SH)

Maiden Post - OCC Holiday Style Day 1.1

Well, here it is in all its glory - lol.  My guts are churning just to do this, I'm not one to put myself out there but this has been a long time coming and a lot of emotions.  This card is for the Online Card Class, Holiday Style.  This card is from Day 1, Simple Scenes from Julie Ebersole's video.

Ok, I did it, I posted something on the big bad scary internet!

Paper:  Neenah White, misc.
