Sending Prayers

 Hello, Friends!

A quick post for a card recently sent to a sweet friend.

Butterfly - why?  I found this...

The butterfly symbolizes perseverance, trust, and beauty.
Hello from a loved one

I guess both definitions fit the bill,

I made the front panel quite some time ago and it just sat in my "bits" bin, but its perfect now. The butterfly was embossed, masked with a circle and the background stamped The butterfly was then colored with Zigs and the sentiment stamped for the occasion.

Supplies:
E by E - Be the Change
MFT - Linen background
MFT - Prayers

No news on the follow.it front, but I hope you're patient as I work things out. I'm hoping a daughter can help soon, although most things seem to be working even though it says it isn't. Meanwhile if you're in my neck of the woods and have a few pointers... lol. Hope you're all staying cool and safe, we're on a "cooling" trend here thankfully, only 111 here today!

Hugs,
TK

Follow.It

Hello!  I hope you are all doing better than I!

Well, I bit the bullet and signed up to follow.it and failed miserably!  I have a plan, I have a link on my blog, but after that?  Well, totally lost!  I haven't figured out if MY posts are going anywhere (so this may be a test) and I sure can't figure out how to get my followers imported...

If you get this post, I'll at least be reassured that you're getting something but it may be that you'll need to re-follow under the new plan if I can't get this figured out.  I do apologize because seriously, I'm not totally inept at computers so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry, and I hope to get this figured out by tomorrow night!  Do say a prayer, or wish me luck!

Relax...

 Howdy, howdy!

I'm back with another card for a few of challenges -- this one will go to MFT Sketch #547, Inspired By #180, Time Out #190, and Pixie's Snippets #406.  Wow!  That's quite a feat for me (hope I'm not over anybody's limit!)...

This is a fun card, but hopefully it fits the bill -- it will be heading to a co-worker who's retiring Wednesday!  She'll have all the time in the world to relax now!

Here's the inspiration, I hope you can see each of them (MFT - sketch, IB - theme, TO - stripes, and Pixie's - snippets for sentiment tag, flip flops and flowers) ~

Supplies:
HB - Truly Great Friends (dies)
   PTI - Flipping Out
   CC - Father's Day (sentiment)

Well, that's it for me, Folks!  Thanks for stopping by and stay cool (114 here today)!

Hugs,
TK

Hey There, Cupcake!

Hello, Friends!  So glad you could pop in and visit me, thank you.

A quick post to send a card to the challenge over at Color Hues #20 Aqua and Black, a wonderful color combination with so many possibilities.  Here's my entry ~

I used a bit of "leftovers" to combine this minimalistic, yet colorful card.  I already had the scrap of aqua in my bin, so cut a larger version from black, the adorable die cut words from white.  I wasn't happy just placing it on white cs, so tried an aqua base too and finally decided on the slim white, then aqua base.  I really don't have a direction for the inside of this card, my mind goes in several ways, so I'm holding off on the inside sentiment until a need arises.  Since the sentiment die is new-to-me, I'll also be sending this over to NBUS #27.

Supplies:
MFT - Hello There Cupcake (NBUS)
   PB - Simple Stackers

Please be safe, especially if you are experiencing a heat wave, as we are.  Today's temp reached 111, with temps shooting to 117 -- I know the west side of our state which typically doesn't have air conditioning, is also experiencing high heat.  I've also heard the heat wave reaches south and north from here.

Hugs,
TK

Happy Birthday Fresh Bloom

 Oh My!  Chaos!

Is anybody else experiencing this?  Wow, I cannot seem to get a grip on life lately, it's just whizzing past me and I'm trying to hang on with all my might!

I've used this bloom before and I really enjoy it.  While simple, it's just pretty to me, no matter the color choice.  So here it is ~

I colored the image, cut it out with a circle die and then did a partial die-cut with a larger version,  The "tails" were then hand-trimmed to allow more of the turquoise to play a part.  I then stamped and cut the tag in a lighter version of gray, and added a bit of silver Sakura pen for the flower center and stamens.  This card has already been whisked away to it's recipient!

Supplies:
   Stampendous - Fresh Bloom
   CCC - Birthday Wishing (sentiment)
Sizzix - Circle die; MFT - Blueprints 27 die

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
TK

Best Wishes & a Butterfly

Hello, Dear Friends!  I'm popping in to wish a friend Happy Birthday, it's already mailed and received (a true miracle she got it early), especially since ours takes about 4-7 days any more and that's within the continental US!

Stamped, heat embossed, water colored, stamped with a sentiment, and then die cut the 2-layer butterflies for the top, and double matted everything.  The bottom layer of the butterfly is actually a "smooshed" panel to add a little fun, and the top layer is a light blue vellum.  A closer look below might help...

As for the color choices, this too was a color challenge (bright pink, light turquoise and black) but for the life of me I can't remember where!  Oh well, I'm thankful for the inspiration anyway...  Since this is water colored, and fits the theme over at CAS MixUp - Flight, it'll be heading that way next, I just  hope there's enough open space.

Supplies:
SSS - Spring Flowers stamp, Chrissy & Leanna Buatterfly dies
   PB - Simple Stackers die

Thank you, have a wonderful day and hopefully your heat isn't as hot as ours has been lately!

Hugs,
TK

Happy Father's Day

Hello, and sorry I haven't been around much!  Life is busy, summer is upon us and all that stuff.  Anyway, I have a few cards to share so I'll hop to it.  I do want to extend my wishes to all Fathers tomorrow, past, present or future -- hope your day is terrific!

Card #1 ~

This one went to Hubbs, thus the "family" all around, and yes there's 5 of us!  While the outside sentiment is different for a Father's Day card, it's where we all want to be to celebrate him!  This stamp is also NBUS, so I think it'll go over there to visit!

Supplies:
CCC - Better Together (Anita Jeram), Copic colored
HB - Log Cabin (snippet of paper)

Card #2 and 3 ~

The colors on these came from a Color Hues challenge, but I sadly missed that one...

Other than the background stamp, which was NBUS, these two are entirely made up of snippets of paper, leftovers from scrapbooking days gone by.  They all came from the same OLD pack, so it was easy to match colors.  I stamped the bg using chocolate on kraft but it looks closer to black, and one lighter, one darker.  The alphabets were also in the pp pack, but I whittled them down and popped them up.  Due to all the "snippets", one of these will be heading over to Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Supplies:
   SSS - Deco Diamonds
Unknown pack of pp (from Walmart, I believe)

Thank you for the visit and comments, I am so thankful for you all!

Hugs,
TK

Merry Gnome-y Christmas

 Hello!

Here is my second card I was able to make last weekend.  It's a Mini Slim tri-fold card, which I used a template available through Taylored Expressions (NBUS), so I'll be sending this over there.

I cut the main panel first, scored and folded, then applied two complimentary papers to the front and inside front, then cut the hexagons.  The gnome was stamped inside, colored with Copics, then the inside and outside sentiments stamped!  Another Christmas card for the stash -- that's a win!

Supplies:
TE - Hex Mini Slim Tri-fold
SB - Gnomes Have Feelings Too
   HA - Colored Layered Wreath

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend, take care and have a little fun!

Hugs,
TK
