Merry Christmas and Christmas Greetings

Hello again, and Merry Christmas (well almost)!  To all the wonderful people I've gotten to know this past year, and the ones I've gotten to know more -- Merry Christmas to all!  I truly hope your holiday is wonderful, even if a little different.  I know things are different for us but we are still blessed, are we not?!

I've made a couple more tags, these all went to co-workers and such but I wanted to share.  They weren't made with any challenge in mind, and they're a bit simple but that's okay too.

For the first set, I used a newer stamp set inspired by a friend to make a fun and creative background. I lined up all the stamps (2 with stripes and 1 with stripes & dots) on my stamp press, inked with one color and stamped.  Then I turned the paper 90 degrees and stamped again in a different color -- the end?  I kinda like it -- it's fun!  Here, you decide ~

Fun, right?  Now I might add that both of these tag fronts came from the same stamping, it just depended on where you cut your tag from whether you got more of one color or another!  I can see this working with so many great color combos!  Thanks, Michele, for enabling me once again (teehee).

This next group is a tag die I've had for awhile but haven't branched out a lot, using only the main bits instead of all the "accessories" --  something I hope to do soon!

For these, I used the negative and the positives.  Oh yes, and all these tags recently?  They're ALL made from leftover bits!  Yay!

Be Merry Tags

 Hello!

I've made a couple of tags that go along with a couple of challenges.  Now these are tags and not cards, so I hope they count, but if not I can live with that  😉   Enjoy!

Vertical row of circles (dots), a matter of whimsy with rich color and sentiment below...

And my inspiration:

Next, a row of horizontal dots (balloons), light and classy in color with lots of shine and elegance ~

And the inspiration here:

And all the similar yet unique tags that were made...

Supplies:
MFT Fold Up Tags, Santa's Elves & dies
CCC - Stripes & Dots (NBUS)  so the group will also go to the NBUS Challenge
MCS - Joy To the World (NLIB)

Thanks for sharing a moment of your busy schedule with me!  We're winding down the holidays, and I pray that all of you have the best Christmas ever, despite Mr VID showing up this year  :o)

Hugs,
TK

Happy Truckin' Birthday

 This one's for Hubbs!

Let me explain... the colors may look a bit unusual to you, but to Hubbs they'll look familiar.  You see, he has a big "Harley-edition truck, it's black with bronze accents and chrome.  While I would've preferred to make the truck black, I feared that it would detract from the card so I chose dark gray instead.  I must say, this truck is a bit older that ours but I'm sure he'll get the idea.  I used an NBUS die, I bounced off some layouts from a couple of challenges, and I used all snippets with the exception of the silver on the tailgate and the base cs!  From striped paper, I laid my tag die on the diagonal to get the diagonal stripes.  I didn't have any bronze paper so I colored a snippet of white and colored with a couple Copic markers, it's close...

Supplies:
SB - Truckin' Thru The Seasons
   Alt. - Birthday Greetings

Well I've managed to get past the Christmas cards for at least one card, who knows where I'll go from here.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week and enjoy yourself!

Hugs,
TK

Christmas Blessings - Peace*Joy*Love

Hello again!  I'm wrapping up the cards I've made thus far and shifting directions, a couple of upcoming Birthdays and then some tags!  I may start posting those in between, so don't think we whacky if it appears I'm talking about the future and it's already happened (yikes).

My cards today are from a set of rubber stamps I received as a gift from overseas.  They're wonderful stamps, and all I know about them is their maker, Lily of the Valley.

Card #1 ~

Card #2 ~

Two different images, two different "feels" to the cards but each wonderful in content!  I hope you enjoy them.  Take care and God bless you all.

Hugs,

TK

E is for E-Fun

Hello!  Another day, another card, another elf...  There's so many great elves out there, and this one was talking to me.  No challenges today, just an elfin' card.  Enjoy!

First, I inked an e/f and ran it through my Express (well truth be told, twice!  First was the wrong side and all the words were backwards - doh).  I cut the panel down a bit and sat it flush on the base.  Then the elf, E-Fun, was stamped, colored with Copics and die cut.  He was popped up to stand out a bit.  Here's a bit of the dimension ~

Why is his name E-fun?  Well his stocking says E, and my grandson (Ethan) walked in and asked "Is that for me?"  I told him the E stood for Elf, but truth be told, the card is for him and we do call him "E-fun"!  He's a blast, full of love, joy and fun, and he'll be surprised to see that this card is indeed for him.

Supplies:
   MFT - Santa's Elves
   CB - Sledding e/f

Have a terrific week, and may you be caught up with all things holiday!

Merry & Bright

Hello, Everyone!  Hope your week is panning out to be wonderful, merry & bright!

I have a card today, to head over to Color Hues #7 - magenta & blue.  Here's my disclaimer... while I did use those colors, they are definitely different in my pictures, maybe because of indoor lighting?  I don't know, sorry but just know they are the true colors.  Here it is ~

You might be able to detect the magenta on the base cs.  When I photographed this card originally, I noticed that some flower soft fell off his hat so I had to repair that.  Then I thought that the lights needed some glossy accents, so I fixed that as well.  Much better, but my pictures turned out less than desirable!  I guess sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches!  Here's a close-up ~

I've got a few more cards to post, another day.  Meantime...

Supplies:
   JD - Warm Wishes
PTI - In the Meadows die
PB - Simple Stackers (NBUS, new to me die)

Thank you, Friends, and I hope your week continues to be a blessing.

Hugs,
TK

'Tis the Season Elf

 Hello again!

Another quick post so a card can meet up with a challenge.  I'm nearing completion of my dash, except those that go to immediate family and can be made later to drop off (safely)!

Amazingly, this card meets up with two MFT challenges, a sketch (MFTWSC518) and a color (MFTCC154), all while using MFT products -- I almost never make that happen!

And here's my inspiration, I think you'll see it  😁  While my red is not quite as rich as the one below, the 1st layer of paper is red.

Success?  I think so, and Hubbs actually likes this one "because the colors just pop"!  Win-win!

Supplies:
   MFT - Santa's Elves

Thank you for stopping by, and spending your precious moments with me, I really do appreciate ALL of you!

Hugs,
TK

Reindeer Prance

Howdy all!  I'm still on a mad dash for cards, so I'll try to keep this short.

I was inspired by a new die and a sketch, and this is what I came up with ~

Another layering die from SB, what you can't see is that I winked a bit on the frame and each individual snowflake from the ef.  Here's a close-up~

I will be entering these at:

Supplies:
   TPS - Snowflakes e/f
SB - Reindeer Prance Layering set (NBUS)

Thank you to everyone for the "safety" well-wishes, I'm doing what I can!  Hope your holiday prep is underway, and hopefully a bit AHEAD of me  😁  Blessings to all of you and of course...

Hugs,
TK

Season's Greetings Pinwheel

Hello again, I hope everyone is doing awesome!  Please stay safe and protect yourself!  I just returned to work after 2 weeks off and returned to 13 new people out with you know what!  What a shocker...

On to better things...  I made another card, no challenge, just wanting to do one of these "pinwheels" for awhile so why not make it Christmas?

I couldn't come up with 2 patterned papers that I liked together so I opted for a little bling instead.  I cut two black base layers and made the 8-pointed pattern; then cut 4 of each of the other papers before splaying them out, in an orderly fashion of course!  A small snowflake brad shows off the center point.  And a close-up to MAYBE see the sparkle on the glitter paper...

Thanks for popping in again, it's great to see everyone!

Hugs,
TK

True Gifts of Christmas

 Howdy!

Are you still making Christmas cards?  Are you storing up for next year?  Are you ahead of ME and got yours in the mail?  Well, I'm not too far behind but since I'm back to work, and now working OT to catch up, my cards aren't quite ready to send.  I'll probably still continue with the making of more since all the supplies are out, and well I can post until Christmas and you won't think me batty - lol.

Onto the card ~ there isn't a challenge for this one, only the chance to use a new product and get it in the regular Christmas bin.  While the product is new to me, I've had it a very short time...

Sorry for the weird photo angle, but I wanted the shine to shine, and the gold sentiment to show!  This is a 3-part die allowing you to cut the layers:  1) the blue background, 2) the gold star and rays, attached to an arched window, and 3) the nativity scene.  Once they're all layered, the top layer covers the others as far as the arch is concerned and you get the white frame.  I applied some gold "tape", it's quite mirror-y, in fact you can even see the tiles reflected in it from my hearth!  Above that the sentiment was stamped using gold pigment ink -- love it!

Supplies:
   MB - Nativity Layering Set
   TE - In/Out Christmas sentiments

Hope your week is off to a bang, and a lovely one at that!

Hugs,
TK
