What's All The Buzz/

Sliding in with a quick post so I can send my cards over to Darnell's Twofer Challenge!  Nothing like "just in the nick of time"!

So I looked and looked, and for bees?  This is it folks!  Ive gott nothing else besides one in a bear set with a bee the size of a pencil-top eraser!  So then I set out on how to use it and this is what I came up with!

This first one I left blank inside and it can be used for just about anything, a congrats for promotion or good news, is what I had in mind.  I used my Peachy Keen Bee for both cards but typed up my own sentiment for this one, since I couldn't find anything sufficient.   I made the background by stamping the bee in b&w, then popped up one stamped on yellow and added a matching sentiment strip by MFT.  A little glossy accents makes the wings and "helmet" look darker but I couldn't get a good reflective photo.

My second card used the same bee, but this one is more focused on sentimental support.  I recently saw Hannelie do some stripes or base design by cutting strips or even tiny squares, so I was inspired by her. I heat embossed the sentiment and popped up the little bee, after he was perfectly glossed.
This card will also go to Case This Sketch #327, the sketch is tipped over on it's side but it's there!

ETA:  Forgot my double photo in my haste, please forgive me...

Thanks for stopping in and sharing a moment with me!

You Da Best!

Another Father's Day Card, this one for my dad!  I had this NBUS die and have been wanting to use it, so I pulled it out and made a simple but bold card for him.  While simple in design, I like it because it kept it graphic on the outside and "mushy" on the inside (hehe).  Have a look-see...

Try as I might, I could NOT get the colors correct!  The pp is on a white background, with olive green and mid-tone blue (PTI Blueberry Sky-ish), and so are the matching cardstocks used for the die.   So use your imagination, and I hope it works for you!  This card used SSS You Da Best die, and a potpourri of inside sentiments.

Secondly, I made this next card because my dad is currently in the hospital rehabbing from an ankle surgery/fusion.  He's been in for a little over a week, rehab is intense but he should be out in a couple days so I made another little card hoping for a speedy recovery.  Here's a peek at it:

I used another little cute bunny from The Cats Pajamas called Flying By, then again colored using my Copics.  I hope he'll like his little "mail".

Again, thanks for your visit, and blessings to all of you, Friends!

TK

Relax.... and enjoy Father's Day!

Here's wishing all those fathers out an amazing, relaxing, love-filled day!  I hope there's good food, good people, and lots of love!  This card is to Hubbs!  I know  our girls, son-in-laws and grandson will be here, but here's hoping that there's no lawn to mow, weeds to pull or cars to work on!  Enjoy!

This was made with a rubber stamp from Crafter's Companion and is its first time to see ink.  I've been tempted a few times but ran from fear of coloring.  However, yesterday I got out the Copics, colored the image and rather like it; I'm happy I had the fortitude to try!  It was then cut with Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die and placed on an olive base.

Thanks for popping in, and I hope to visit all you friends soon too!  Enjoy your day!

Hugs,
TK

Inspired by.... Colors?

I was inspired by the wreath over at Inspired by.... and although the deadline has passed, I really wanted to make a wreath even though mine it is not a "Welcome".  This card was not only inspired by the wreaths but the colors over at Color Throwdown #545, so I will enter this over there.  Here's my entry...

I constructed my wreath first, added a sentiment, cut it out, added a little framing color, popped it onto an embossed background, and attached all to the cs.  I took a coordinating scroll and popped it above the sentiment on the inside and then one in each of the lower corners, thus setting up a nice frame, and a little extra on the inside

This will be entered over at:

Look at those luscious colors, would ya?!  I had to join in on this one!

Supplies:
Gina K Wreath Builder stamp set
Sizzix Wonky Squares dies
Inside Sentiment - MFT Anything but Basic Birthday

Thank you for joining me today, and I hope that all of you had a marvelous weekend, and this week will be fabulous!  Til we meet again..

Hugs,
