Triple Play!

If you're Hubbs, look away now!!!
(Sorry, I had to get that in...)

Howdy!  Jumping in here, trying to get a card off in time to play at three challenges today!  I'm actually going to enter a single card in 3 challenges (a first for me, I believe)!

Rats!  I just noticed a crease on the card front!  My card is pretty self-explanatory
so here's a close-up...

These will be entered at:
Simon Says Wednesday - Have a Heart (SS Roses for You), featuring MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies

Thanks for stopping by, Friends!  I'll be around soon as things are quieting down a bit around here, at least currently   :o)

Hugs,

Woohoo! Twofer Challenge #12 - Birds

Well I'm whizzing in at the last minute, so happy that I finally get to participate again in Darnell's grand Twofer Challenge!  It's so fun to make cards, and yet I'm so rusty-dusty from the lack of it in the past year!  At least I made it to the fun this challenge!

My first card is a sweet Bird wishing someone a Happy Birthday, while peeking through a cute little window.  The bird comes from Technique Tuesday, and is the star of both cards.  Here she is!

My second card is for a sweet friend, and here it is!

While both cards are somewhat easy, I kinda rather like the star of the show!  These birds just crack me up, what can I say!?!?  I'm happy that I could make it to another one of Darnell's fun challenges, and proud that I actually will get this posted in time!  Must run...

Hugs to all who stopped by,
TK

Happy Anniversary - TO #126

Time Out has a new challenge "Loving" -- and what's more "loving" than an Anniversary card?  Well maybe quite a bit but the card is what I have and can enter!  So here's my card, enjoy!

I used a sweet die from Concord & 9th "Layers of Love", which also complements the challenge, does it not?!  I love this die!!!  And a close-up...

I ink blended, then die cut the top panel and popped it up, to showcase all those glorious leaf details.  I also added one miniature little pearl on some of the dot groups (does that make sense?).  I know you can barely see them, but they actually look whiter than the negatives, but really show IRL.

Really hoping to spend more time this weekend just relaxing in my "mom cave" and making a few cards and also pop in to visit others as well.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a GREAT weekend!

Hugs,
TK

Celebrating Mariposas - TO #125

Popping in to post another card that works perfectly with Time Out #125 -- challenge words of  Celebrate! Family! Friends! and Life!  My card is a Birthday card, with that "celebrate" wording right on the front!

This card came together with a die cut of mariposas (butterflies), some left as negatives and replaced above some alternate butterflies cut from vellum.  The front panel was popped up, with a strip of glittery silvery cs below and a couple of vellum butterflies set back in.  Off to the side is a butterfly backed by solid velum and the die cut purple cs set on top.

I really liked this card IRL, but I did suffer with the white pigment ink for the sentiment.  It seemed that my pigment kept absorbing into the cs and disappearing.  Any suggestions?  I did use a little white Signa pen to accentuate the sentiment but I'm not really sure that helped!  Here's a close-up that might show the layers a bit better...

Well off to get this posted, then sent over to the challenge!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,

Birthday Celebration - CTS #302

Howdy!  Did everyone make it through the holidays with minimal stress and LOTS of good food and family?  I hope so!!  We had some good times and awesome food here.

I wanted to pop in with a card, that I'll be sending over to CTS #302 because I see that it loosely represents the sketch - gotta love when that happens!  This is a masculine Birthday card, and was given to its recipient already, so I'm feeling good about sharing it.  Take a look-see...

This came together pretty quickly as it is mostly paper and die cuts, but I love that the flecks in the speckledy paper matches the other colors very well.  Like I said, quick together, but a handmade card nonetheless!

Thanks for popping in, and I'll be seeing you around!

Hugs,
TK
