NBUS #6, CAS Mix-Up, SSS Wednesday

Well I'm just in the knick of time for Darnell's NBUS Challenge, so I better get right to it.  My dad's in the hospital, so I put together this card for him..

I started with a panel that I watercolor smooshed using distress inks and an embossing folder, then matted with a couple of papers, mounted on foam tape and applied to cardbase.  I then used ep to write my sentiment onto vellum, attaching underneath the sentiment only.
Edited to add:  I had seen this technique year's ago (don't even remember where), but resurrected it since I'm in love with this ef!  Sorry I can't get credit!  P.S.  I did not run the ef through a Big Shot or any other machine, just used the pattern after I smoothed and spritzed onto the emboss side (both sides are the same on this folder).

This card is playing in:
NBUS #6 - EF, the script, and an inside sentiment
CAS Mix-Up: March - Stamping, watercolor and heat embossing (my choice)
SSS Wednesday (3/10) - A Bit o' Green

Ink: DI Faded Jeans & Mowed Lawn, PTI Enchanted Evening
EF:  Darice Argyle
Sentiments:  Concord & 9th - Sophisticated script, PTI - Inside & Out Well Wishes and Beautiful       Blessings

Thanks for dropping by, hope you don't mind that this was such a quick post!

Sorry to hear your dad is in the hospital. Hope everything goes well, and that he comes home soon. I will put him on my prayer list. You've made a beautiful card for him, and I'm sure it will cheer him immensely. Love the smooshing, and the sentiment on the vellum. Just a wonderful card. Bev

This is an awesome guy card, TK! I'd be pinning this even if it weren't being pinned for the NBUS gallery board! Did you realize you were my very last entry with your third card? That made me smile! I'm sorry to hear about your Dad and I do hope he is recovering! Hugs, Darnell
